Evangelist Myrna Summers is anointed by God!!!! She sings and directs with such passion and conviction ! I loved this when it was first recorded with the Refreshing Springs COGIC Choir!
Peaceful rising. I love this song there is a home where there are no worries no complaints just peace. 1/4/21 Peaceful and Blessed New Year to you and your Family. Create yourself a peaceful one. Thank You for sharing. 💫🙏🏿
This is a beautiful post. Mr. Jeffrey Lavalley on the Piano along with Sis. Janet Sutton and the True Holiness COGIC Radio Choir. Not to mention, Evang. Myrna Summers singing one of her classic arrangements. This is a treat. Thank you. : )
This is a classic. When I heard it as a child, I liked it though I really couldn't relate to the "uncloudy day". Now that I'm much older, and I've lost many love ones, and my faith has grown deeper the song has deeper meaning.
This song is blessing me too right now, and I too remember it when I was younger and I loved it then but now I really understand what Myrna Summers is singing because I feel the same way, hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah Amen.
I love to here Myrna Summers sing this song she sing with style and soul this is the best gospel song ever when you listen to this song you get chills all over you feel the present of GOD in your soul this is my favorite song I listen to this song morning noon and night I love love love this song thank and praise to our CREATOR
So sincere in singing, and giving God all the praise and glory. A time when it's not about them, money, and position - it's all about giving God the glory! Amen
It doesn't get any better than this. Originally recorded by Evangelist Myrna Summers and the Refreshing Spring COGIC. Yes there is a home beyond the clouds and I pray that one day I will see it for myself and rejoice with the saints singing in the heavenly choir for my lord and savoir. Hallelujah!!!
So glad to know our love ones is waiting for us for that uncloudly day. Myrna is such an anointed soul for God. Her voice is crying out to God's children to let them know where their love ones are who have gone on before us.
Love this lady!!! I so appreciate that she devoted her life to sing for the Lord!!! Pure gospel and this song is a classic! Ms. Myrna is still singing like this today!
Myrna Summers Uncloudy Day LYRICS Uncloudy Day Oh, they tell me of a home Far beyond the skies Oh, they tell me of a home So far away Yes, they tell me of a home Where no storm clouds rise Oh, they tell me Yes, they tell me Of an uncloudy day Oh, they Tell me of a home Where my loved ones gone (Oh) Oh, they Tell me of a land Bright and fair So far away (Where) Where (the) the tree of life Sheds its fragrance through the air Oh they tell me of an uncloudy day Oh they tell me of a King in His beauty; beauty there And they tell me that mine eyes Shall behold where he sits on the throne That is whiter than snow In that city made of gold Oh, they tell me of an uncloudy day. Omgsh!! Saturday Night Sing. I remember this show back in the day. We wouldn't miss it. I wonder if some or all of the choir is from Refreshing Springs COGIC of Maryland? One person on the front row looks familiar to me. Myrna was at RS in the late 80's and left just as our family joined.
Refreshing Spring is not part of that choir. Saturday Nigyt Sing was recorded in Chicago. Pastor Headen wouldn't have allowed that many of us go unless he was vfc there bbn or it was the COGIC national convocation...lol
Your name sounds familiar to me. I was quite young (Not quite a teenager) when our family attended RS. I do remember Elder Hadden and his associate, Elder Jordan.
Elder Headen was my grandfather and I would come to visit every August for homecoming. I moved back to DC in 1992 and have been back at the Spring since. Elder Jordan became pastor in 1995 after my grandfather's death.
@@kevinbouknight1308 Okay. Thanks for sharing. I'm quite sure that my parents, Isaiah and Deborah Johnson remembers more than I do of that time. I was a part of the Youth Choir under the direction of Steve Lawrence and his sister. I also would sing with the Male Chorus under the direction of Elder Gray and another gentleman with the last name, Ghoram. A gentleman by the name of Herman played the piano at the time. I would play the drums mostly on Sunday nights and if I could play for the altar call. (LOL)Good memories!
The Yoith Choir was directed by Kathy Gorham, who is not Steve Lawrence's sister. The Male Chorus was directed by Eld. Joseph Gray. One of his assistants was James Gorham (who IS Kathy's brother). Herman Hill (the pianist) is my daughter's godfather.
This has been my favorite song since I was a little girl! I can't believe I get to see her perform it!

Myrna Summers Uncloudy Day LYRICS
Uncloudy Day
Oh, they tell me of a home
Far beyond the skies
Oh, they tell me of a home
So far away
Yes, they tell me of a home
Where no storm clouds rise
Oh, they tell me
Yes, they tell me
Of an uncloudy day
Oh, they
Tell me of a home
Where my loved ones gone
(Oh) Oh, they
Tell me of a land
Bright and fair
So far away
(Where) Where (the) the tree of life
Sheds its fragrance through the air
Oh they tell me of an uncloudy day
Oh they tell me of a King in His beauty; beauty there
And they tell me that mine eyes
Shall behold where he sits on the throne
That is whiter than snow
In that city made of gold
Oh, they tell me of an uncloudy day.
