SHE FOUND A RARE NAUTILUS SHELL! Found a 1/5000 wentletrap shell in a pile of seashells underwater!

Todays search was wild, how lucky was it for that lady to find a freakin nautilus guys!? Imma go super early tomorrow and see if I can find one for myself since the swells are still wild! Thanks for watching guys!

Shells looked plentiful this day. Good call on the wet suit. Can definitely feel the seasons changing here in Australia this past week. So many great finds yet again. Whew those swells were pretty intense. Fave finds? All of them. 🐚🐚🐚

Yes I would def still keep the bonnet with a hole - shells like that I put in a bowl with other shells around so you don’t see the holes 🐚🐚🐚 Great finds again today 👍

Nice finds!! The wentletraps are beautiful!! Even the broken shells were beautiful! Because I don't have the opportunity to go shelling, I'd keep every single one lol. The ocean is full of such amazing things, I could be there all day and not be tired!

That's a Nautilus macromphalus. You can tell by the open umbilicus.They are only known from deep water around New Caledonia. That shell was floating in the open ocean for months or longer. Nautilus shells have been found as far as the coast of east Africa. Those shells would have come from as near as Indonesia which is a journey across the Indian Ocean. Nice find! Good on yah mate from America.
