I have 1.5GAT same color I bought it in 2009, still running in good condition. It's really a powrrfull engine no problem in climing up hill even full loaded of passengers.
I still have the 2007 G same blue color. If it is well maintained, it is super reliable. Does Baguio and other "mountain tracks" well. Just had a few upgrades like replacing the radiator fan with a high powered one, air intake to a sporty cold intake one, better shocks and coils, new alternator, and top of the line engine and transmission fluids. Last I had it tested, the horsepower was at 114 thanks to that air intake upgrade. I really made it my goal to replace all the old parts and welp, my gen 1 avanza looks pretty new. Oh yeah, brakes are now brembo. The avanza is a reliable car. That's just it. Very fun to maintain and upgrade. I use it more than my wrx for pete's sake. 😂
I own one and it has 270k on the odometer, it's my grand Father's last new car he bought back in 2006/2007. but he passed away in 2012. Ngl its pretty fun to drive and ride in it. I would recommend to get one if you live in a village, or if you live in a place with tight spaces but you need a big vehicle to carry people or stuff around. Or if you are bored, its rear wheel drive which means you can drift it.
I have the second gen and lahat ng sinabi mo totoo, maganda sya tlga sa mga new drivers dahil sobrang bagal nya magaccelerate. Totoo din yung sobrang tagtag o alog nya kapag pangit ang daan, mas maganda sya kapag madaming laman mas smooth yung suspension.
Had my 2008 1.5g for 3 years now. Nakaka 11-12km/l ako mixed on MT. 14 sa pure highway 80kph only. Short gear ratio lang talaga hence old favorite ng baguio peeps.
Yes you had the 1st gen face lifted version. The only difference is the passenger side airbag and a few safety modifications but its still the same Avanza :D

@@crustph never knew you were gonna comment but like i said my brother is 20 right now and drives a black 1.5 2011 g model avanza and can go to 100 kmh when he overtakes, usual speed to my school thats 30 minutes away is 80kmh, on overtakes ive also seen him rev the car until 5-6K rpm

normally the more basic the better and less hassle, unlike having modules and turbo charge which can breakdown easy and cost u lots of money

The Toyota Avanza was introduced in 2003 but in the Philippines first sold in 2006 with revision in 2007 until 2011
J model of Avanza doesn’t have 3rd row seats. 5 seaters, but you can put some cushions in order to seat at 3rd row

After testing it yes! But the brakes tend to be over worked when the Avanza is fully loaded so gotta hit the brakes way earlier.

Wring out the engine for all I care.. This is the 1.5 4 speed AT variant and it is slow as heck. I heard good stuff about the 1.5L 5-speed manual tho.
