The pancake lenses alone make it more significant than any iPhone update. The fact that it’s over 200% faster, smaller, and literally everything else about it being upgraded? I am really not sure why so many people are not *more* excited about this. Meta did everything right.
I feel like the Quest 3 will get a huge marketing boost simply from Apple's Vision Pro finally coming out. That device is super expensive, has a limited supply, and is Apple's first XR headset so software support is limited. Meanwhile the Quest 3 is a fraction of the price but allows people to experience a decent chunk of XR.
Completely forgot about the Vision Pro, great point. Right now Meta really has no reason to drop the price any lower, especially if the competition is coming it at a higher price point
There was no way in HELL people who love VR especially Meta were gonna wait till the price comes down. It's already cheap compared to other headsets that aren't as good.

I got Quest 3 the day it came out and it's FREAKING AWESOME! Passthrough is insane quality, better than my Quest Pro. Inflation is so high right now, it's causing everything to be more expansive. But for $500, this is a great headset.
Yeah, this is more like going from an iPhone 7 to an iPhone 12 it's really impressive what they have managed to achieve for a $500 price point. I have the Quest Pro as well and that cost me £1500!
Not garbage but not great either, but the thing is that is fulfill its purpose, when you are playing you are not focused on the passthrough and you do feel in your living room because of that.

Its good if they do good things with it poping aliens its like a kiddy game play once i like mine but they need some good titles to be fare
With PSVR you have to buy the PS5 and the headset. Then your limited to Sony content, no PCVR and it's WIRED.
