Thank you so much. This helped so much to fix my own blocked sac. Your assistant is amazing to sit so still while you are so close to his eye. Much love!
Thank you.,i cried couple of weeks..and i notice that my eyebrow and upper eyelid getting thicker than the other eye..i consult the doctor..he didnot give priscription..only said that i put hotcompress..but its not working,i hope your advice can make a miracle
Doctor has asked me to Do eye syringing test to tackle the watering issue. & I saw the video of the same over you tube, it seems scary as eye is very much sensitive part in the body. What you will suggest..?
The only part I didn't understand is when you put the cotton swab on the sac, then you say to move it "downwards and backwards" down and back from which perspective? and what is meant by "backwards"?? unfortunately I couldn't understand these directions
Good Day, I am 60 years old, and have been seen by 2 ophthalmologists recently. I have been told I do not have dry eye but that my tear ducts are smaller than normal to begin with but with age the duct is smaller. I have no other symptoms except watery eye that affect the vision at times. I will try the massage. I feel like some sort of stint would help enlarge the area. Do you have Any ideas? Much appreciated

Hi madam my age is 33 from andhra pradesh. I was suffering water eye from last 5 months. I was consult opthamalagist he suggest surgery DCR external MMC with intubation. Is it compulsary or having any clinical correction with out surgery. Plese give information
I don’t think the diagnosis is correct. In 5 months a complete obstruction of Nasolacrimal duct doesn’t occur and especially in young people. It’s a gradual process. Unless your consultant has diagnosed this complete obstruction by probing and then syringing of lacrimal passages, you should see an Oculoplastics surgeon.
Can dacryocystitis cause a subconjunctival hemorrhage? I've had two of those in the past month, including a sudden barrage of floaters. Yesterday, I noticed that I have a swollen tear duct with pus oozing out of it.
Interesting! The whole ocular surface has one continuous epithelial lining: the conjunctival epithelium continues it not the canaliculi as epithelial lining of the sac. Therefore infection can spread in either direction. Similarly, raised sac pressure can cause congested conjunctival vessels to bleed resulting in subconjunctival hemorrhage Regards
It needs a proper clinical assessment. Some conditions resulting in a watery eye need medical therapy while an obstruction in lacrimal passages needs surgery. This can only be decided after a proper examination
@@drsameerairfansquintoculop3996 I had a discharge problem in my eyes so I have done a dcr surgery but operation failed.. now my eyes are teary all the time and I don't want to go for operation again as it was too painful... Please suggest what to do with my teary eyes... How to stop it and what kind of massage will suit for my watery eyes.. please help
Dear Ms Hankar, you should continue cleaning your eye after doing this sac compression otherwise the still- blocked tear duct will result in an acute infection, swollen lid and a painful eye
Hi doctor I am 14 and I got really watery eyes like I get enough sleep but I yawn and year up randomly then when I wipe the tears they come back after 10 seconds and that cycle continues. Also i tear up when there is wind and sunlight and the tears just bank in the area next to the eye and when they build up they steam down my face. It's really annoying and hard to be with people because they think I'm crying. You have any advice? Should I do a massage on it ??? Thanks
You can try it, but I don’t think it will help. There are other causes of watery eyes at this age. You need a proper assessment for that and treatment. Regards
Aoa mam... My name is Dr.Abdul Ghafoor consultant ophthalmologist I worked in Mughal hospital for two yr... I want to ask a Question If we evacuate sac by using either finger tip or cotton bud...do we get the basic idea of " Hydrostatic pressure" Its mentioned kanski..." You need to occlude puncti with finger tip... apply pressure over sac area to push all discharge forward to NLD " If something regurge back by pressing the sac ..we can't achieve the Hydrostatic pressure Though i fully agree 💯 that due to small nose and eye etc...we it's difficult to get access to sac.... Plz comment ... Thanks
Thanks for seeing the video and your comment. Keeping the sac empty and avoiding recurrent infection is the primary target till the whole system eventually canalises. Repeated infection is the culprit to cause permanent inflammatory adhesions and blockage

The lacrimal sac is situated deep in the lacrimal fossa. So by pressing with the cotton bud backwards and a little bit downwards you can reach the sac
how long each time are we supposed to do this specific massage? Thanks for the info
