    I wonder if this is why they changed the newly released hubs.

      Maybe, we have the new RS hub and there is plastic between the spring and the main frame, also the spring looks beveled with a slight angle to stop the sharp edge from digging into the plastic contact point.

    It also helps the line up the end of the spring with one of the openings on the wheel main frame so the edge where the spring is cut is not in contact with any other metal.

    Hi there! Question: how do you get the hub in the locking position when the wheel is not mounted on the wheelbase?!

      Slowly press in the center inner hub where the electrical connections are and the outer quick release hub will pop out. Make sure to push it in evenly, as it can tilt to one side and go in un-even. When you are ready to put the wheel back on, just pull back on the quick release and lock it into place, it is then ready to slide back on to the base.

    That part rotates with the with the wheel when you turn it so I don't see how it could make a noise in use.

      It flexes under heavy force feedback and causing that creaking noise. We have done a new better mod by using a piece of braided string from a gift bag and slid in under the spring, now the noise is gone for good and no need to re-lube every few months. The braided string goes between the spring and the main frame, so no longer touching metal to metal. Might do a new video soon.

    thank you for the information! thinking of buying this wheel for GT7 , do you still feel like it is worth it?

    • @AMS_Drift_King
      @AMS_Drift_King  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We love the wheel. The price is up there. Hard to say if it is worth it, depends what you can afford. I know girls that bought shoes for $1500.00, I would say that's NOT worth the money. For me, it is definitely worth it, but because we can afford it.

      @@weskoons4820 Why, if the design hasn't changed, the new one would have the exact same problem after a month.

    ALSO..... A SMALL AMOUNT OF GREASE!!!! WE ONLY APPLIED A SMALL AMOUNT BY HAND. YOU DON'T WANT TO SPRAY LUBRICATE ANYWHERE IT COULD GET TO THE INSIDE ELECTRONICS!!!

    RMA it. Logitech will send you another.

    • @AMS_Drift_King
      @AMS_Drift_King  ปีที่แล้ว

      They wouldn't send another without us sending back ours first. I don't need another wheel that may make the noise and I have to re-grease to make the noise go away. So far, the noise has not come back. It seems like every product I buy needs some modifications right from brand new to make it better.
