I really enjoye your uploads, as you leave no rocks unturned in explaining the entire process. I've not seen a better tutorial video to date. Your builds are by far the best I've seen yet. Keep up the good work. I'm looking at possible getting one, as the summer's in California are long and the roads massive. Thanks again
Just to give you a heads up.... I use a 1/2 link on the pedal chain and a 1/2 link on the motor chain.... this allows me to pull the wheel all the way back.... for strength and alignment purposes.... trust me it works great ( after my 4th build ) I use a chain tensioner that mounts on the engine.... and if the chain hits the frame I use the crappie chain tensioner that comes in the kit.... with both styles of chain tensioner it works great.... every build I find better ways of doing things that work.... my first build almost killed me...!!!!! To ouwn one of these bikes is constant maintenance but worthwhile and fun.... I get pulled over by cops.... never got a ticket.... just questioned about the bike and pictures taken with the cops and also young kids that think that the motorized bikes are the coolest thing.... of course their parents always want to take pictures with their kids sitting on the bike....!!!!!
I have to say your first bike there I as a bluider myself I truly thank you and commend you for not only your great work, but also the time you take let us the little people have the chance to see great workmanship. THANK YOU ALLEN Burwick Battle Creek .Mi
Sorry I missed your name. I’m looking for a four stroke kit to purchase for a first built. Any suggestion in manufacturing or sellers and customer service? Regards
Great video I’d be interested to see you or someone do a video showing how to install a 2 stroke motor on a tricycle and I’m not talking about mounting it where the basket is for cargo but on the frame above the pedals and which tricycle is the best choice for this kind of project changes you got to do to get it to work and how to mount the motor and the sprocket etc cause if any has there only showing the final result and or driving it or they show how to mount it where the basket was or installing a friction front wheel motor
i`m leaning toward a two cycle 48 cc. motor kit, just to keep things simple, and to keep the bike as original as possible, just need a little help climbing hills these days, when I get my groceries.
Thomas VanBuren You're more than welcome! I'm happy to hear that I could help out! Any questions come up at all feel free to message me and I'll try to help out. If you want to keep up with the latest info and builds then find us on Facebook by searching Masterlink Motorized Bikes and "Like" & "Share" us!
Question: how much space (inches) is required from the top of the crank to the bottom of the bottom frame rail (under the tank) to allow the use of the 4 stroke engine?
Are these any good on gravel roads? I'd like to build one myself, but I'd specifically like to cruise it along the mile long gravel grid roads that are around this area. What would be your suggestion? I like the Huffington styling, but can you put mountain bike wheels on it? or should I be thinking more along the lines of one of these new the fat tyre bikes?
Ronald Whittaker Thanks, I since built it and put the mountain bike wheels on it. I've found that most of the gravel roads have compacted earth that run along side them. It rides the earth pretty well.
Ronald Whittaker Well, I actually built mine with a $20 tool set that I purchased from walmart. Has all spanners and screw driver sizes that I needed. Now the tools reside in a small bag which is strapped to the rack on the bike, should I need to do some fixing on the side of the road.
Yeah....I actually got in touch with the guy that bought it yesterday and offered to buy it back. Unfortunately he likes it so much, he declined. To make things worse, Some of the parts for my next build are on back order. Should have never sold my first one lol.
Justin Jirikowic Out of curiosity, where did you get your kit from? My crankset came with the Huasheng 49cc 4G belt drive kit from GasBike.net. Now the kit I ordered for the GTS build was from another company and they has a shorter crankset that gave me a ton of issues with clearance. I just checked on GasBike.net and they have the wide crankset for $60. If you want a press in style sealed bearing custom wide crankset and you want to pay $180, let me know and I'll try and find what site it is. It's a lot for a crankset, but it's built like a brick and will be going on the "Huntington Resurrected" build this winter.
dude I got my kit from bikeberry.com. this was a huge mistake because the stuff it all came with was cheapest of materials. the bolts that mounted the muffler stripped like 3 times. so I had to go inside and drill them out. so the crank set on gasbike.net can clear a lot? the one you used seemed to clear a lot of space. the gear box I have on the hand is Easy-Q matic one. so I need a lot of clearance
+Pouche Andrews I know I have one of my earlier videos that shows me removing the tensioner completely, but I don't recommend it. There is already such a small amount of space for the chain to travel from the engine back to the sprocket and when you take the tensioner away you have even less space. Plus since there is no tensioner in between you're losing lateral control of the chain.
Hi SCC, what do you think about the differents between the belt VS chain drive transmission? I'm thinking to build a 49cc as well . Which one do you think provides gearing?
+Albert Michall Hello Albert! The bikes I use are the Micargi Huntington extended frame (+2") beach cruisers. I get them from bikebuyers.com. Thanks for watching! Any other questions feel free to email at sinistercustomcycles@gmail.com and to keep with updates go to Facebook.com/sccmn
+Sinister Custom Cycles mzpartsmiami on ebay, still working on the build tho trying to get parts together. it has a mount for disk brakes aswell. I gottabig parts list and a small income so it may be awhile until I get it mounted and tested out. it seems like a good front end though.
+FrenchFRI3S That's awesome man! Thanks for the reply! Send me some pictures of your build to me and I'll post them on my Facebook page! Sinistercustomcycles@gmail.com or Facebook.com/sccmn
and where do you get this Frame from please let me know me and my brother-in-law are struggling to get his piece of crap Walmart bike going it took a crap on him yesterday
The engines I used to go through GasBikes but they have terrible customer service so I'm currently looking for another source for the belt drive engine kits. Stay tuned at my SCC FB page at facebook.com/sccmn as I will post it on there when I find a new vendor for engine kits.
Does anyone sell a kit that has this type of rear hub sprocket clamp and a back of seat alloy fuel tank and good quality engine mounts. I'd be interested in buying a kit with all the upgrades already done so I don't have to throw half the kit in the bin and then search the net for suppliers for better quality parts. . I can't find anyone who has what I want. And in the UK I can't find anyone selling a basic kit. Have to order a kit from China then start replacing fuel tank/pipe/sprocket clamp etc . . seems odd that no one has started selling these this side of the pond. Our laws about motorised transport are the strictest on the planet so that might have something to do with it..in the UK I think the bikes need an MOT a number plate. Insurance and road tax. Basically cancelling out any financial saving you might be trying to make. . .
I don’t see how anyone is able to install the rear sprocket kit. I always buy the custom version because it mounts on the hub of the rim, perfectly aligned every time. Such a pain trying to mount on the spokes! Ugh!
Great chain management, although there must be some chain whip under power. Lousy front suspension, for "looks" not for comfort. Great 4 stroke engine, but that typical Chinese Peanut gas tank is ridiculous.
Hello this is demon girl but my name is Ashley I got a question for you I got a a huffy beach cruiser trying to change front end on my bike and trying to find a better gas tank for me and trying to get a light system for my bike so I can see in the dark because my boyfriend already dated and he's being ass at me so he's not helping me I hope you can help me out thank you
425? parts alone on that are over 500, let alone labor. honestly i hate those direct drive transmissions and wouldn't buy that bike with a ten foot pole, but it is worth 6-700 usd.

Your workmanship on this bike is stunning! It looks great. I hope that my first build meets this standard.
I see people asking questions, and you’re not answering them. So much for helping out fellow bikers.
Just to give you a heads up.... I like how the chains worked out without tensioner.
Great bild! Nice part's! 👍
I can't fin that bike no where. That is the frame I love.

Hi I have a cheep ebay 4-stroke belt driven im wandering would a 4 or 5g belt driven fit on a unbranded 4-stroke
Do you need to trim the rear fender (mud guard thing) for the chain clearance?
I have an Electra fat tire with disc brakes and 7 speed. Do not want to lose the the 7 gears. Is a mid drive possible?
Hey I would love to know where you buy most your parts, I have the engine kits, I need a good place to buy the aftermarket parts :)
Hey we have a huntington beach crusier like in the video and we like to know which center axal you used on your bike to pedal.
What engine kit did you use?

Question: how much space (inches) is required from the top of the crank to the bottom of the bottom frame rail (under the tank) to allow the use of the 4 stroke engine?
Coaster braking on this? Wow Crazy it works
I just bought one but it new it don't go that fast I have a 80cc it go 20mph maybe he told me it go 45 what can I do to make it faster
Expansion chamber exhaust, new carburetor, less restrictive air intake, high compression head
What engine kit are you going with for your next build I am going to build one and would like to know what good four stroke kit I can get
How was the breaking with just the rear break?
Have you ever seen the jackshaft that allows you to use the gears, through your engine on your bike.
Hi, what kind of bike did you start with? Trying to read the decals but it's not working!
+Kyle Grant micargi Huntington, bro.
where'd you get the sprocket adapter for the back rim? how much.

Looking for the rear sprocket wheel hub adapter. Bikeberry has them but t 1" is backordered. Any one else sell them ?

+Sinister Custom Cycles Hey, what's that adapter called on that sprocket? Also, could I get a link to that adapter? Thank you much!
Sinister Custom Cycles how and where do you get this engine at please let me know
What is the brand and name of bicycle is this ?
I have mine setup like this i got tired of those cheap chain tensioner so i ride without it
hey man what kind of crank set are you using? I have a Huasheng and the pedals don't clear?

Hi I want to get rid of my tensioner ? It looks like it will be okay with a few links removed ? Any input on doing this ? Thanks D. A.

Two roller skate wheels ,and slotted bracket.
where do you get that engine
I hate chain tensioner s !! I haven't used one for quite a while now and I haven't had any problems what so ever !!
It's good just like it is
How fast does it go please? ??
It all depends on the size of the rear sprocket. 18MPH-33MPH
i paid 70 fora triple tree suspension fork, seems good.
+FrenchFRI3S Very cool! Where did you get it from?
+Sinister Custom Cycles mzpartsmiami on ebay, still working on the build tho trying to get parts together. it has a mount for disk brakes aswell. I gottabig parts list and a small income so it may be awhile until I get it mounted and tested out. it seems like a good front end though.

I always use a frame mount spring tensioner. I have never had a problem. I manufacture them myself.

Cheap $32 front forkGood springer front fork is $180

How does a motorized bike that has a motor on it that costs 80 bucks minimum go for 50.

V nice

Depends on the gearing but anywhere from 18-32MPH.
I have a motorized HYPER 2 stroke I paid 450 for it.
loosing money on sale?
Kewl
Stick to a simple bike two many moving parts means more money .Keep it simple.
