I hit level 4 seller level in about 19 days. You hit most of the marks! It sucks but will instantly drive sales. .Still post your bulk cards! I have found when I have multiples of over 3+ you can price them higher as people are trying to deck build. (I.E rivalry of warlords is 40 cents but if I have three of them at .75 cents its easier for someone to just get them all in one order.) .Once you start gaining more traction you can price your cards closer to market, people will see your higher price cards, see your good reputation and end up buying 8+ "bulk cards" with the one or two expensive cards they get! .Reviews are HUGE in tcg. Don't be afraid to reach out to people and give refunds as necessary. That gold level rating is important. .Quick shipping makes up for a lot of issues. I have had issues where the customer ended up being totally fine with things because shipping was so quick. also people who are deck building want their "bulk" quicker so they can use that deck. .Lastly Watch some more of this dudes videos on how to ship cards! He has the best methods I've seen so far for the cheapest prices :)!
100% this. I hit level in about 20 some days. I'm now moving away from Tcgplayer low and listing at market. The volume is still there and increasing. Just keep listing and sourcing cards. And shipping quickly is definitely key. I've had an issue with a wrong variant card and the guy still complemented me on the shipping speed and packaging. I refunded him immediately and just said my bad. He was super happy. Don't dwell on the little losses. Just churn and burn 🔥
What is this person that you have I'm trying to listen to you you're licking your lips and wiping your mouth are you like gangster or what I'm I'm really trying here
I will never hesitate to buy the cheapest card for 0.25. I'm building a deck. Some of the cards I'm buying are astronomically more expensive than that. Throwing a dollar here and there is always worth it, instead of pinching a penny by looking for a different seller.
i 100% agree with making your cards a minimum price. i have all my bulk at a minimum of 5c and that seems to work well enough to prevent the bad orders. i had a few orders that were 300+ cards for 1c each and it costs more to ship the damn thing. since raising prices i havnt had to deal with those orders anymore.
I appreciate your video! crazy 1000 a month is stressful for a one-man team. I used to do 25-30 higher cards on ebay and it was stressful already. Making labels. Tracking. Dropping off. To the point where the post office team recognize me, and you know zamm well nobody recognizes nobody at the post office. LOL
Thank you so much for the info, current collection sits at 250k + cards (yes quarter million cards)…if not more….and 85% + is bulk under $1.50 market $$…since I watched this vid for the first time a few days ago, was getting frustrated on what to do with bulk…my set price is $0.26 cents $.99 ship, and my bulk is quickly selling more than my heavy hitters ($10+ cards) hard to keep up!!…once again THANK YOU!!
Quick tip: if the card is under 25 cents or less you can use other bulk cards to sleeve it to save money on top loaders. You slap the card in the middle of the two bulk cards and penny sleeve it
Wow, this guy is dropping the k-nowledge. I've recently gotten back into MTG both as a player and a collector and you're answering an awful lot of the questions I have w/r/t the seller eco-system. So thanks!
Great video! I have a lot of bulk, as well as a ton of modern/commander staples that I don't need, so been thinking about selling on TCG player and eBay. One thing I hate as a customer is when ppl list their cards on multiple locations, so when I go to buy, they have to message me and say they actually don't have it because it was sold somewhere else and the inventory hadn't been updated yet... So I probably won't sell the same cards on multiple platforms, even if that makes things slower. I want to do it to clear space, not so much for the money lol!
Once you are a successful business and become pro with a gold star seller you raise your prices a bit. If you are starting out you have to be the Lowest price because you have to sell a certain amount of cards to become a pro seller. It's always tuff at first but you have to spend money to make money
As someone who is looking for a way to sell off some of my collection in an educated way, this video was quite helpful. Fees can be pretty steep however. The 10.25% TCGPlayer fee pretty much destroys my profit margin to the point where they are making nearly as much profit per sale as I would be. So, lots of volume is the only way to make decent earnings.
I was looking into selling my bulk for cheap and at .25 cents each id be losing money. I wouldnt have a problem with it if i broke even but i might as well keep them or give them away for free. Made me sad.
Would the 25 cent floor price work with modern Pokemon bulk in your opinion? I feel MTG and Pokemon differ when it comes to people buying commons. Would love to hear your opinion.
I know I’m late to the party here by a couple years but I had a question. So you said that you post rares on eBay with a floor of $1. Does this work with say Holos in Pokemon and Yugioh or does this only work well with MTG? How do you move bulk product like Pokemon or Yugioh?
I will happily pay 25¢ to get a card if the seller has a lot of other cards I want because it usually saves on shipping. But I wish TCG would be more up front on which cards will trigger changes on who’ll ship cards. Also, some orders get so big that I suspect the dealer is losing money on shipping, so I wish TCG would offer a flex rate option for dealers.
Do you think selling rares for a floor price on tcg would be ok to start? I don’t have eBay and I want to dip my toe in slowly. .25 for common/uncommon and 1.00 for rares?
Yes. I reached level 4 seller after about 2 months with consistent sales. I would use lower value cards so the price difference doesn’t hurt you as much. If it’s a 50¢ ultra rare market value that you can sell at 30¢, it would attract more people to grab it to either sell themselves, add to their collection or use for their decks. I wouldn’t do floor for cards worth north of $10.
Something I've always struggled with on TCGPlayer, maybe you can answer, is what is the best method of preparing a PWE? There's days where I need to prep 100+ envelopes from the weekend and I'm either opening a 100 tabs and copy/pasting addresses into another doc and then formating for envelope/etc etc. What method are stores doing to ship out 50k envelopes?
Okay Rob... I love the content and the knowledge. I'm a Gold Star, 1000+ seller on TCGPlayer for Pokemon. Moved to PRO to get the mass price tools. I can't move to Direct because I don't hit the $600 weekly sales and I have over 3,000+ bulk in inventory. Maybe I'm lucky at getting 10 orders a day, but I'd like to move more quickly. Hey man, I have started selling and reached level 4 on TCGplayer. When you say that your bottom on tcgplayer is .25, does that include bulk rares at that price as well? I know you said on Ebay you do a dollar, but just curious if you implied a dollar on tcg as well. Thanks!
Thanks for the video! I have a quick question, have you ever tried to sell common/uncommon bulk through eBay? If so, how did you manage since the minimum price is 1$? I have a decent size eBay store, but my bulk inventory is getting out of hand and I don't know what to do with since I don't have access to TCGPlayer (can't sell there as a Canadian seller).

TCGplayer return/refunds question. If a buyer claims a sealed product is damaged when received is the seller required to pay the shipping for the damage claimed product?
It's been a while. I'm wondering if you still think this is a good way to get started. Market price with $1.99 shipping for bulk on TCGPlayer, and $1.00 rares with 99 cent shipping on ebay?
I'm the guy who buys them at .25 he is indeed correct. Focus on listing card accurately and in the correct condition. Set collectors like me want NM at worst LP and we will pay you the premium if needed believe me.
I'm a pretty small seller, and sell from home. I get my product (Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Magic) by opening a few boxes every set, and buying collections where I can. When I buy collections, I take what I need for my own collection (I put together 1x master sets for myself), and list everything else. I have room for a decent-sized inventory (ballpark, I could probably keep ~50k, maybe more), but I don't have as room as a shop may have. Given that, my goal is to churn through inventory relatively quickly to make sure there's always room for additional collections that come in, while not completely losing money. What would you do if you were in this situation? Suggestions outside of the limitations I mentioned are also welcome. For context, I'm currently a Pro seller, and I use the MassPrice tool for pricing. Thanks, and always enjoy the information from your videos!
Just pulled a SS3 Son Goku, Wrath of the Dragon card on a DBZ pack and I’m seeing it’s going for 250 on presale? How do I go about doing this too? I posted a video on my channel as a short😅
Hey man another question, how does shipping work? I was told to set everything at the lowest shipping price. Why would I set shipping higher and how does that work?
For buying in bulk do you mean just buying those bulk lots on tcgplayer or going through the listings of 10 cent commons/rares of specific cards from recent sets? I ask this as a Yugioh player because I don't want to be buying proxies and cheap fake cards that have incorrect card texts off places like Facebook market place. The video (to me) didn't make that quite clear where I am going to get these cards (reddit and other websites advise against buying the bulk lots). I mean I have my own personal card collection but I don't plan on touching those cards (something cool to show my kids). That is why I asked. I want to learn more about selling cards and just want to make sure I don't make unnecessary mistakes that could become costly (I've heard its much harder to make money selling Yugioh cards due to the nature of the game).
Nice! Could you possibly make a video on how to level up quickly on TCG? Do I need to beat market price to ensure my cards are sold? With a max inventory of 100 as a level 1 seller, it's hard to list cards enmasse. Thanks for the video!
Doesn't Ebay have free shipping now at no cost when it comes singles? As long as the card is under like 10$ or something, shipping should be at no cost to you.
@@rng-gamez Ah, ok. It might just be heavily discounted or something. They made selling singles simpler than in the past. I don't sell too often nowadays.
Question as I watch your videos and work towards my goal of being a shop owner one day you talk a lot about magic and and how to make more with it I have more Pokémon then mtg stuff is everything the same or what do you suggest
It’s a lot harder to open Pokémon boxes and make it profitable but if your able to start a good local economy of people buying and selling it could be even better than magic
Question: I sent two cards to two different buyers without tracking and one has reported he hasn’t received it by the expected delivery date. Is there any way to know where the card is? What can I do? Thanks!
I understand listing at a minimum, but, how are you able to get away with 25 cents for common cards?? Even if you say people want to order from one seller because it's more convenient, when using the direct program that concept gets taken away as it pulls pricing from everyone who's in the program.Granted, you did state you only did this method when you first started off and it doesn't work with direct, but I gotta wonder what's your current minimum now that you're a direct seller?Hopefully this message doesn't come off the wrong way, as these are genuine questions I have. I'm interested in scaling with a Roca and trying to take in more bulk but don't want to get left with dead inventory if I can't atleast have break even turnover to survive.
So we have found that you can only fit about 24 cards in a single plain white envelope. What do you do with the 30+ card orders? For instance total value is about $1 plus .99 cent shipping.
So I’ve been selling on TCG for over two months and just started selling with Direct. Added $1.99 shipping to prevent people from ordering the cheap cards. I’m considering moving everything marketed 25¢ to $3 to eBay to keep TCG from taking 50% of those cards’ profits. But what would you recommend doing with the stuff above $3? Should I just keep those on TCG direct and let them handle the customer service when those cards “go missing in the mail” or just post them to eBay? Thanks for the videos. Love the content.
Well if you have zero sales and a few card’s nobody is going buy them, only if you have a wide selection and an established sales history. Your goal right now is to get sales. So price accordingly
Put it at the max that people want and they will think it is top margin and rely on buying the real thing but if they know you are a jerk than dont sell it. If you have the real thing sell it at the hightes price i guess and go up if you think its safe.
So did you open a business account to get started? Anybody else can give me some insight? It needs my bank information but I’m not putting my personal information there
That’s the national average for MTG bulk, put out an ad, start a TH-cam channel or instagram. Put yourself out there start a brand and people will sell to you.
@@rng-gamez My account doesn't have a payment method yet. it was flagged under review as soon as I entered the confirmation code sent to my phone number
Edit 2: Ignore this comment. I'll leave it here though lol So I just hit seller level 4 today and I'm already getting bugged about direct by TCGplayer and all that stuff. Could you (or have you) make/made a video about level 4 and above? Before you answer I only came here to find the cheapest way to ship cards (1, 3, 25, even 50 I only carry #6 envelopes, shipping with tracking for under $4 including cost of all my protection etc) but now you say list TCGplayer direct cards at $1.99 shipping. TCGplayer states they worry about shipping. Im confused big dog. :P Edit: I'm realizing they probably changed their wording since I stopped ONLY selling high value cards on ebay.
it's because he somewhat has a "brand" from his TH-cam channel. the average Joe is rarely moving stuff at market, especially bulk and ESPECIALLY with 1.99 shipping lol. this isn't real life for 90% of people on tcg.

Do you have a system to list the 100s of cards or do you manually enter each card/quantity
I upload them VIA csv
So we have found that you can only fit about 24 cards in a single plain white envelope. What do you do with the 30+ card orders? For instance total value is about $1 plus .99 cent shipping.
I can fit up to 60 in a PWE
@@rng-gamez Isn't there a 1/4" limit for PWE shipping? What size envelopes do you use?
@@Jeremy_Davis 9.5x4.1 top flight envelope… I can do 3 stacks of twenty each stack sealed with a team bag
@@rng-gamez Nice! Thanks for the tip!
Hey, I have a question. What happens if I sell a card on eBay and it “goes missing” according to the buyer?
2:37 At LvL 1 Seller. I put all my cards at fair market value. I have still sold 0 in the past 3 months...
I Sold a one Piece alternate card. Real thing.

Anyone still able to find 1k bulk cards for $5? $25-50 is about what I can find and $5-10 per 100 lot?
You need to get people in your local economy, put an add out on Facebook advertising you buy bulk. Believe me it’s out there
Thnx appreciate it!@@rng-gamez
Nice!

Ho do I sign up as a seller from India
Anyone know how much tcgplayer takes per sale?
Just started selling on TCGplayer today and posted about 70 cards all over a $1 and sold a $20.99 right off the bat 😅
Hell yea
Do you ever get cards graded to sell?
We do but I tend to stay away from them… if I buy them it would have to be from a regular customer
So did you open a business account to get started? Anybody else can give me some insight? It needs my bank information but I’m not putting my personal information there
Yes I did but you don’t really need to you can just open another regular account to do it
@@rng-gamez oh! I wasn’t aware that was a thing I’ll see if I can open a second account at my bank
If you could, would you explain where you're finding 1000 cards for $5?
That’s the national average for MTG bulk, put out an ad, start a TH-cam channel or instagram. Put yourself out there start a brand and people will sell to you.
@@rng-gamez thank you so much for the info!
You’ve got like JoJo Siwa on camera energy
Any account tcgplayer that i open is now closed or under review , is there a solution .
Thank you.
If you have the same payout method tied to multiple TCGplayer accounts it will be closed or under review, multiple other reasons also
@@rng-gamez My account doesn't have a payment method yet. it was flagged under review as soon as I entered the confirmation code sent to my phone number
if you still have it ill buy all your bulk.
Edit 2: Ignore this comment. I'll leave it here though lol
So I just hit seller level 4 today and I'm already getting bugged about direct by TCGplayer and all that stuff. :P
Edit: I'm realizing they probably changed their wording since I stopped ONLY selling high value cards on ebay.
Did you have the $600 in sales per week when they bugged you about direct
? How many cards did you have listed at the time they asked you about direct
❤
Link to your tcgplayer?
Pretty much any account that starts with RNG is me
Haha still waiting for the more granular level video lmao
I need to clone myself
@rng-gamez not the worst idea lmao
From my experience nobody buys at market price. Idk how the hell he’s doing that
It’s literally what everyone does.
@@rng-gamez Marker price? That’s not true. Everyone lists at the low
@@SaberkiddASMR I’m not going to argue with you. You have a wrong way of thinking
@@rng-gamez I guess I’m confused lol
it's because he somewhat has a "brand" from his TH-cam channel. the average Joe is rarely moving stuff at market, especially bulk and ESPECIALLY with 1.99 shipping lol. this isn't real life for 90% of people on tcg.
Where are we getting $5 for 1,000.. best I have ever done was $70 for 10,000 which I thought was pretty good
$5 per 1000 is the national average
I sold my first card for over $200.
Congratulations!
I cant sell bulk when tcgplayer makes the shipping 4.99, lol. The only reasonable way to get sales is to sell higher end cards.
you can change your shipping rates
@@rng-gamez Tcgplayer won't let me change it cause I'm level 1 account

Dude, if you're selling one 8 cent card you're losing money or just barley breaking even.
30 cent Paypal fee
60 cent stamp
15% selling fee
3-4 cent envelope
~4 cent card protection
1-2 cents for paper, ink, tape
1 cent penny sleeve

All from buyer?
