Listening to this years later, I can still relate to every point you made. My Chiron is conjunct Mercury (and my Mercury is in Sagittarius - 2nd House). I find that I'm able to heal or reassure others with my words in times of need. The pain stems from my older brothers constantly silencing me as a child which in turn affected my self expression in my relationships. I'm always actively working on it and everyday I find my voice and own it entirely.

I have Mercury conjunct Chiron in Taurus in the 3rd house (siblings). The mercury-chiron conjunction is forming a yod with the Pluto & Neptune in Sag as the base. The mercury-chiron conjunction is also opposite Uranus. Thinking back to my childhood, I was severely abused by my elder brother (7 yr age diff) at home, and not allowed to speak to anyone about the abuse. I would feel like I had no thoughts to share with my classmates because my head was filled with fear of the punishment that was waiting for me when I got home, and I felt ashamed to share that with my classmates. I felt like they would not really understand my pain. So I was the quiet girl in class, who had nothing to say. I guess there was also pain of not being heard because when I told my parents about the abuse, they took no real steps to stop it. Also my brother systematically deprived me from anything stimulating because he was afraid I would be smarter than him (I was a better student). So when he would watch a new movie for example, he would tell me to leave. When his friends or my cousins would come over he would sent me away so I could not interact with them. He also would not let me touch any electronics in the house- this really damaged my self confidence because whenever I would try to do sth, I would have my brother's voice in my head telling me I will fail or rebuking me if things didn't go perfectly. I also felt very disconnected from current events. I felt like I had nothing interesting to say about the world because I had no idea what was going on in the world. Since Chiron was in Taurus, there was also a financial angle. My mom sent me to a rich school which took a lot of our money. And we didn't have very much left after paying my tution. So I felt I had no right to ask for all the toys and books and CDs that my classmates were playing with. So I always felt left out, unable to comment on the latest book/CD/toys, etc. I have had to work really hard to overcome this aspect. I gradually improved my vocabulary and started reading a lot of current events so I am knowledgeable and can speak well. But still the hurt sometimes creeps up, when people sometimes don't acknowledge things that I say. And I had to get used to the idea that there is always going to be people more intelligent and knowledgeable than me, and that it is impossible to know everything. Still I have a hard time asking for help when I don't understand sth. I would rather sit with sth for hours and make sense of it rather than admit to sb that I don't understand it and ask for help. I also have a sense of humor and can really make people laugh when I want to (Maybe that is the Uranus opposition coming into play). I am very good at explaining things to people. I understand how it feels like to feel dumb, so am good at explaining sth so that it is crystal clear and everybody understands it. This help me gain popularity as a teacher. I am very interested in Psychology and am trying to write a book. So maybe that's where the savant part comes in. Although I have never played chess. So I don't know if I will be good at it. Last but not least- the favorable aspects to this mercury/chiron conjunction includes a sextile from venus (which probably gives me writing talent) and a trine from mars. Mercury/Chiron is also biquintile Saturn

Another curious thing I found in my chart is that mercury is the planet that makes the most aspects and I also have saturn in Gemini as well... I love language learning but at the same time have difficulties with language expression.
Gemini Sun with Mercury conjunct Chiron and Saturn opposition to the Sun (and Pluto in my 3rd house). Communication IS my greatest gift and simultaneously my biggest challenge. How ironic is that? I have Chiron /Mercury /Sun conj. in 2nd.....all squaring Pluto / Mars / Saturn in the 11th. My dilemma is that .i am a musician and write and arrange and sing...and am so damned scared to put my 🎶 out there...in spite of performing for decades when I was younger. Huge isues with self worth tied to my voice being heard. Have all the songs ready...now need to be heard.

Interesting about the stuttering, I have the trine from Scorpio to Chiron in Pisces and I went through school with a guy who had a bad stutter, he copped a lot of flak and looking back I was always there, I liked my own company but at school somehow we ended up in the same classes, sitting next to each other, when other kids made him feel bad or embarrassed him I didn't say anything but I was there when they left

I don't understand, i mean i find it hard to process when you say things like : i have difficulty expressing myself.. and my mom would tell me that my father specifically had this trouble, i always thought she was trying to make me feel pity for him.. and obvisouly confuse me as a result.. but your words speak the truth.. it's very real... but.. i don't have this difficulty but it helps to listen to these anecdotes
