Aren't ALL British accents just affected "put-ons"? Here's the simple proof: As soon as any Brit--no matter how severe or cockney or posh their accent is--starts *singing* they sound completely mid-Atlantic American, zero accent... BUSTED! :D

funny take..but na the issue is that people are just wannabes music is usually sung and rapped in american in pop music and people mimic it just never occurs to them they can sing in there own accent. it ive allways found it strange since ive allways sung in my own accent...
