    Wow this is awesome! I've been trying to figure out how to add passing chords into songs to really give it that sauce. I first saw your Facebook ad for Dirty Chords and picked up. the course. It's been quite helpful. My question is how would I know to do a 3rd inversion A minor chord in step 4 when passing on the C major chord? Why an A minor? Thanks for the great video!

    • @prettysimplemusic
      @prettysimplemusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wow mannnn small world - from Facebook to TH-cam... I appreciate your love and support!!! Concerning the A minor - it helped to accentuate the C7... The notes in the A minor (A-C-E)... C and E are both in the C-E-G-Bb... The added A gives it that added flare...and dissonance. I hope this helps... 💚

    I recently watched "The Preacher's Wife" with Denzel Washington and Whitney Houston, and these chord themes remind me of the music in that movie. I've never played this style, but it sounds really nice.

    This is amazing but it is important as a musician to play in many different keys so I was wondering if you can do a video on this technique but with a different key like F or G to really get the grasp of this passing technique

    But I really need an understanding of how I can start using these and other advanced chords for everyday praise and worship (contemporary gospel)
