- Hey Everyone! Today's video I will be showing you how to make this super easy DIY egg yolk fry food. This can be fed to basically all FRESHWATER fish fry. I would recommend after feeding, to do a water change because any excess will pollute the water a lot. This will be my last video of the year :(.

There is. Just feed them crushed flakes. They eat them just fine. No point in this whole egg yolk thing. Just getting your aquarium stinking of rotten eggs.

How often? Frequent change of water after feeding may not be good, especially for fries.

Question.Is it ok if they just hatched and you don't feed them for 2-3 days.Because they have their yolk in their tummy right so is it ok
So, to cut to the chase, boil an egg, discard the white, keep the yolk and thin it down with some water. I could have soft-boiled an egg in the time it took you to show me.

They're probably not growing because the water is too cold or they're not getting the right nutrition. This fry food will help with growth :)

This video helped a lot! My fry got tired of and wouldn't eat the baby brine shrimp or black worms so I tried this! Now they are more active than ever! All of them are eating now!
Finely crushed flakes...all fry eat that. Just stick to that. No need to over complicate things.

Should be ok boiling with aquarium water. If you dont mind putting aquarium water in your pan/pot. It might smell a bit

How do u do a water change when there that small
shine a light so you can see the fry well, then use a thin hose as a siphon and control the flow with your thumb, plugging it when the fry come near, then inspect the siphoned water and just scoop out any captured fry and put them back in.

How to boil an egg??? Really? Anyway, I would NOT use aquarium water to thin the yolk if you intend to keep it any length of time. Use tap water, FAR less bacteria in tap water and the yolk will keep longer in the refrigerator (up to 5 or 6 days). Also, you can flatten the bag of mixed yolk and freeze it to keep it even longer, then just break off thin pieces of the frozen yolk.

Do not feed egg yolk to young bristlenose plecos, they will die. I don't know if this applies to other plecos or not.

Nothing bad about it but they don't need it .

This is not good for anything. I tried it once, and my whole aquarium after that stank of rotten eggs. Or...as she said, you have to do a water change, which is...why......I just crush flakes really finely, which is pretty easy by just usying 2 fingers. The fry can eat it just fine...if someone's fry can't, then they're defective.

+InfinityPets 95 put the egg in the kettle and let the kettle cycle like 2-3 times. jobs done scoop the egg out with a spoon (beware of the steam coming out of the kettle).

why?
my personal experience is this food pollute water very fast. It falls to the bottom of the tank and new born fries tend to ignore them. Infusoria requires more preparation in advance but for me it's worth it, they are free swimming and even fed in excess will not pollute water (they will just live in the water until fries end up eating them)
