I just did a preorder for a Detroit 90s Shoegaze band, Majesty Crush. It is a compilation. I was also looking at the group Alison’s Halo but too much was being asked for it. I want that Dean and Brita album.
Hey Steve, that Dean & Bitta album does look good. I'll see how I'm feeling the day of the sale. Hope are doing great in your new state! Welcome to the West!
Hi Mike, or should I say fellow Brit 😁 I thought you would have gone for the Peter Murphy on RSD? Some great pick ups, sure you’ll like the XTC debut, raw for them but you can see where they are going. BWW excellent as always. Miki sends her love 😁 Mike
I don't remember what the Peter Murphy RSD release was, but I'm really not a fan of his solo work, except Dalis Car. The XTC will have to grow on me- I am really more partial to everything English Settlement and after. Cheers Mike!
I have quite a bit of Scottish in me as well, paired with a little British and a quite a bit of German as well. I think the RSD item I'd like most is the live LP by Death Cab For Cutie... Did you ever get into Emma Pollock's solo work? I remember really enjoying "Watch The Fireworks" from 2007.
Can I be so bold as to recommend the recently released Xmal Deutschland - 'Early Singles' (on Sacred Bones Records)...I don't think you've ever mention them in your 4AD related round ups and praise (being an early 4AD adopter, although they have niche appeal, they're very close to my heart)...and you being part German...you could take this opportunity to connect with your 1% heritage : )
@@playvinylinthemilkynight I also didn't get on with Fetisch when it came out (or indeed now) it felt like there music had lost the raw immediacy that runs through Incubus Succubus or Veto...but it all seems to be intact in these earlier historical recordings.
Oh shit!!! Didn’t see the Delgados got reissued, thanks for the tip
Absolutely. Hoping they put out their last album, Universal Audio, on vinyl some day.
Lovely pick ups/ gifts. Especially the XTC, Rush and BWW.
Thanks Mike. Cheers!
for great irish bands from 80s, check out The Virgin Prunes- if i die I die. such a fantastic album
I know of them but haven't ever listened to them. I will check them out, thanks!

I am a completist when it comes to band's but also labels too.... once you start you cant stop.

I had their album "Fetisch" way back when, never really hooked me in at the time. I should give them another go. Thanks!
