My cousin was born that way and today he's 11 years old and in grade 6. He's perfectly fine. Goes for check ups once a year, otherwise everything is normal. He was treated at a public hospital in Durban. I'm answering for the less fortunate people who have to use public service. They did justice for my aunt and that little boy. He had the best Drs. Of course private health offers way more convenience so that would be first option.

He was born in KwaHlabisa HOSPITAL north of KZN. his Dr's diagnosed him and he was transferred and treated in iNkosi Albert Luthuli hospital in Durban

My child has been diagnosed with autism. It has robbed our family of so much. But we've also learnt to appreciate the blessings that we have. She's our first fruit so it's been difficult to navigate, the meltdowns are the worst. Sometimes Hubby and I also fight amongst ourselves and some days we are able to comfort each other and be each other's strengths. I am most grateful for a present partner, he is so hands on. Parenting has no manual, i pray you and your family find healing and comfort. These illnesses are not fair on our kids. Sending love and light

I had a disability child at the age of 17yrs when she was 2yrs my mother passed..I was all alone raising a child that I don't even know how to handle her..she pass away too at the aged of 14yrs after Avery scary n difficult sickness..

He's a miracle baby,I also gave birth to a premature baby in 2019 had to be operated due to placenta previa he was born with hypospadias he has done 4 operations in total and the journey still continues because he still needs to go for more operations cause apparently it takes times to get the hypospadias corrected.#prembabies ❤

I really applaud you both for your maturity, for accepting and loving your son the way that you do and for having the strength and courage to not only share your son's journey with the world but for remaining optimistic throughout the challenges you've encountered as far as his health is concerned. There is a reason you both were chosen to be his parents. God is yet to do wonders in his life. He has already revealed himself through your baby boy. I understand why you would have questions, I would too but sometimes we don't necessarily have to have the answers, we just need to trust that God has a bigger purpose for him than we realise. His life is proof that there is a living God who performs miracles and it is beautiful to see that He trusted both of you to parent baby Monde. I don't think I would've been able to be this vulnerable so big shout out to you guys🥺🤞🏽... You are an inspiration to many. I pray for God to continue working and showing up for your son, I pray he continues to give both of you strength. May he continue to bless your family and carry you through. Gogo remember souls chooses bodies for a certain purpose boy chose his body and y'all as a parent to teach you something and also for his soul to learn something. Remember the souls ultimate goal is to love and be loved and I think you are doing just that for him and he is doing the same for y'all

It is such a difficult experience. We had an accident with our son at 1 month. God shows His strength even when we do not think He is there. Government hospital came through for us (baby was not yet registered on medical aid). Thank you for sharing. ❤
