Love that! I have my eye on the suede Rowan at the outlet. It appears to be a more pebbled leather and suede sides and it could compete with a boutique bag as well!

I went to the Coach outlet for the first time last weekend. It was a bit overwhelming so I think I need to go back, lol. Great video!
It can be overwhelming because there are so many bags to look at! But it’s also one of my favorite outlets to go into! ♥️
Thanks for the info! I always thought that the outlet stores were the same quality as the boutique or boutiques bags that were discontinued . I purchased my first boutique handbag a month ago and now dont think i can go back to the outlets for a handbag.. I do agree with wallets and slgs . I actually get most of mine at the outlet shops or at Marshall’s and Tj Maxx and am very happy with them

I purchased both the Rowan and the ruby, and ended up returning the ruby because it was so heavy. My Rowan also has silver hardware which I prefer. You’re right it’s just all about preference💜
That’s a good point! The ruby is very heavy compared to my Rowan!
It’s definitely about preference for sure. I don’t like silver hardware looks cheap to me. I only do gold. But I do love a good outlet bag as much as I do the retail ones. I have the Ruby and it’s my favorite bag. I don’t think it’s heavy at all and could be cause I used to carry huge bags that were full of stuff so it feels the same to me.

Great video - thanks! (Jackie sent me.) The one exception that I know of to the outlet policy you explained is Dooney & Bourke. They don't have a separate line for outlets. Peter Dooney stayed privately owned so he can buck the system. 🌻

10 years ago I fished a Nylon Prada travel pouch out of the bargain bin at the Saks outlet in PS for $59.99 and now its on the Prada website for $ 900

Thanks for the mention. Yeah, you have to do the research on the outlets. Longchamp and Balmain outlets, for example, only carry boutique items. Gucci and Prada have specific outlet made items of lower quality, which diminishes their brand. Coach and Banana Republic outlets are the worst, IMO.
You can ask the SA "Is this a boutique or made for outlet bag." They cannot lie to you. So, if they say, "I'm not sure" or "I don't know" then I would take a pass.
Gucci does have some current bags at current boutique prices in their outlets, as does Burberry and Givenchy. But, you have to research before you go.

I just purchased my first Coach boutique bag, I originally was on the Coach outlet store and almost bought a bag that was $200 compared at $580. I then fell down a rabbit hole of boutique vs outlet and went on the Coach boutique website and got a boutique bag for $220 on sale originally $360. I am waiting for her to be delievered but I had no clue there was a difference between boutique and outlet 😅 its crazy

I agree that Coach retail bags have significantly nicer materials, but you pay for that. I generally like the styles from the retail store better and so most of my Coach bags are from the retail store. I do have a few outlet bags that i use and love too. I would not have expected that outlet items would be of the same quality. The hardware used in retail bags
Is thicker, heavier, and sturdier feeling. The Nappa leather is super super silky and soft and the gloved tanned leather on the Bandit shoulder bags are wonderful quality and nothing at the outlet even remotely feels as nice. However, the outlets do carry good slgs that will buy. The outlets do make the brand and products more accessible. I think if you can afford and willing to pay the retail, the items are of higher quality. However, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the outlet items either. It is still authentic Coach and even with the outlet items, the stitching is still quite even and nice.
Exactly! It depends on the price and if I love the item! Retail, or outlet; they’re all from coach!
