Craig's a really likable guy. I love seeing Karl laughing and enjoying himself, it's wholesome. I listened to a bunch of Craig's other podcasts and I liked them even though I didn't really have a clue who he was talking to. He's just got a nice energy.
I bet this man - without knowing - has made so many young adults (now grown ups) like me laugh in ways I can not even begin to describe. Really a cultural hero of mine ( he would hate that 😂)
It would be a bit of a dilemma if I ever saw Karl in the street as I love him and would so want to talk to him and squoze his head but I know he doesn’t like the attention really. he’d just be like “don’t know you, not bothered” think I’d just stick to a little “alright Karl” and move on. I Think he’d appreciate that.

How he enjoys the simplicities in life, how often, if ever, do you see that with people on TV? I love him as a person, I can say that i’d be pretty damn starstruck to see one of my favourite people of all time in the wild.
On one of his journeys around the world he visited some Amish folk. He was so respectful and appeared to be more at ease there than on any of his other encounters. To me that spoke volumes. P E A C E : )

I've listened to karls podcasts every sleep bar about 11 since i was 19. I'm 34 now. Xfm and the ricky gervais show are like comfort blankets to me. Even camping or staying at a girlfriends house I'll have it on my phone next to my head. The queen is nothing to this man in my life and many others. Every single night, sleep time, lets listen to this xfm radio show for the millionth time. Every time i feel like I listened to this one the night before because I'm so familiar with them. I spend more time listening to karl than i do with my son or working
Yeah I'm not sure he'd top the Ricky podcast because back then there was only that and this american life and that was it. Now there's a ton of podcasts. But it would still make a bit of money I guess. I'm not sure he needs the money or could be bothered talking to people. It's always other people wanting him on...he'd be happy watching see through insects drag biscuit crumbs around.

I got the internet in 2005. Karl helped me get through some dark times just by listening to his podcasts that was free on Guardian Unlimited that started on the 5th December 2005. Its now 20-years later and I'm still listening to his podcasts, XFM radio shows etc and its just the best thing ever.
I'm only 18 and Karl made me laugh more than anyone else. I discovered him about two years ago and I watched pretty much everything he's in. I listened to the podcast and all the rest of it. I love him because he's an uneducated intellectual. He's got no ego. And I agree with a lot of stuff he says.

I also feel if this was on the old podcast what Karl says at 17:52 would be picked up on and would turn into a 10 minute bit about them calling it "ridiculous" or "twaddle" and Karl expanding on his 'theory'. What I find most interesting about Karl (I'm from Texas, BTW) is that he really has no idea how much more funny he is than your normal bloke. There's not many people, even proper comedians, that you know - no matter which video you pick - there WILL be something funny about it.
Karl has evolved way beyond idiot status. He’s never been an idiot, he simply has a comically simple take. His questioning of purpose and how he admires people with passion up to the point of death….he’s incredibly thoughtful and dare I say it, an unwilling intellectual. I also am blown away by his post-podcast interviews, he is genuinely interested in learning the lives of others. If he had a talk show, it would be absolutely massive and deservedly so.
I like seeing Karl be spoken to and respected like any other human rather than how he was treated by Ricky and Steve (I know it was all for jokes etc but its nice to see Karl be more comfortable). Especially since Karl always treats people with respect, he seems so open-minded when he speaks to people from all different walks of life

Ricky gervais, karl pilkington and stephen merchant had the best chemistry, there is no better comedy podcast trio in my opinion
I honestly feel like Steve just provided an audience for Ricky and nothing more. Never made me laugh and usually came off as quite spiteful with Karl.

His questioning of purpose and how he admires people with passion up to the point of death….he’s incredibly thoughtful and dare I say it, an unwilling intellectual.
I also am blown away by his post-podcast interviews, he is genuinely interested in learning the lives of others.
If he had a talk show, it would be absolutely massive and deservedly so.
I like seeing Karl be spoken to and respected like any other human rather than how he was treated by Ricky and Steve (I know it was all for jokes etc but its nice to see Karl be more comfortable). Especially since Karl always treats people with respect, he seems so open-minded when he speaks to people from all different walks of life

I’m pretty sure that I saw Karl wearing this same shirt while promoting An Idiot Abroad! Love that he is one of my favorite celebrities that isn’t even a celebrity at all because he is so down to earth!

Karl said that cameras kill radio, we might think "oohh he looks like a looker" then we see him and we're disapointed.
I must disagree, seeing Karl makes it ten times better.

I actually find karl attractive in an odd way. I like the way he thinks.
I think Karl seems more approachable than other celebrities because we know every detail of his life, so it's like he's not a stranger
