There’s something really Zen about Karl in that he’s pretty much ego-less, doesn’t desire much materially and animals and insects are instinctively drawn to him.
Scottiger tiger trust me, when I went through them all for the first time is genuine some of the happiest memories of the last 18 or so years 😂 there’s no way he could be doing this for so long without being found out as actually being “graham from Coventry”
I've honestly been debating in my mind for the last couple years whether Karl is accidentally the funniest man alive without knowing it, or if he's actually just the most brilliant comedic genius ever and it's all intentional. And I'll be completely convinced one way, before I change my mind again.
@Isaiah Jammes nope they are a real thing . Little bit like a Bakewell tart . Hard to find up north and thats where they come from so you've no chance any further down the country.

Yea like a Podcast or a TV series, wish he had done that 20 years ago then again 10 years ago. Oh wait he did, you really are young or oblivious as fuck.
When Karl said "This goes on for three hours, you could cut half of it and it would be better for it" and Mark Kermode applauds because that's what he's been saying for every Peter Jackson review he's done for the last ten years.

I bloody love Karl, I love everything about him, his attitude towards life is so close to mine I guess thats why he’s probably my favourite person ever. Proper down to earth.
These guys work so well with Karl, I know they worked with Karl back at XFM so they're close in a sense, but they know how to talk to him and know how to probe him for Karl's natural one liners. Great chemistry
@@Paradiselost316 ricky said him and Karl are close but he doesn't speak about him and fuels the rumours to annoy people. Don't know if him and Steve are good still

I swear... anyone who doesn't know Karl really needs to watch anything he is in, his mind is strangely amazing. The smartest simple minded person to walk the earth I really wish I could spend a day with him that would be wonkas golden ticket right there...
I thought Karl's interest towards weird stuff and insects was just there for the show, as in, he would exaggerate that bit. But look at that face 04:37. He barely shows such pure joy in front of the camera. Another time I noticed his fascination with weird stuff was when he met the conjoined twins in India. He was so overjoyed.
Karl is such a sweet soul. I think he tries to be honest to himself regardless of social norms, and tries to let the world know its not all sunshine and rainbows for him. He comes across grumpy, but he just needs someone like Ricky and Steve to cheer him up (they have actually done it on occasion, believe it or not). I think he's a true artist, and I'm so glad he's wanting to be taken seriously by writing and starring in his own Drama. I haven't seen all of it but I will do soon, he should do something else next.
He's got super solid points about birthdays. In fact, although it's funny, and Ricky was around it was hilarious, but after the laugh I always thought, wait a minute, he's got a point.
Karl is a person with a natural awareness. He seems to complain about things and people’s behavior but he’s got a point. Most people see, he observes. He’s awake.
Binging Karl interviews, and something he almost always does is turn the questions back on the interviewer. Maybe it's partly being slightly embarassed at his own white-van-man answers, but it also seems to be genuine interest.
Karl’s sense of normality is a breath of fresh air, he’s like me exactly. He’s just an ordinary bloke with old fashioned values. His travels around the world are hilarious. I love how he just doesn’t care about stuff that doesn’t really matter. People should be more KP than PC. He’s great
I sometimes get the feeling - and I hope it’s not the case here - that some (these) people just take him for granted. Laughing their asses off but not being able to take him seriously even for a second. Karl must be respected.
I love how Karl can so easily, and without even initially meaning to, call out the vapid bullshit of everyone else. Even when they try to mock him, he just cuts through with the truth of their fragile, self absorbed, unhappy little lives. I know when Karl hits 50, or 60, or 70; he's going to be just fine and content. Some of these people on TV seem to hit a "mid-life crisis" when they're in their early 30's.
