Hi Keren! I'm into Fine Art and I've known about masking fluid and wax resist for decades!! Lol!! I'm really artsy. I immerse myself in art every day all day long and I adore it!! Art is my God because I've been abused all my life and I use art to heal and cope with my difficult daily life. I have to get injections twice a day and they're really painful. My Mom has to feed me too but luckily I can do some art and watch TH-cam and that takes me away from all my problems. I don't know what I'd do without my Mom. I love her so much. I'm the lady who does everything lying down. You have been so kind to me. Some days are Dark for me but I think about how grateful I am!! Thank you so much Keren! I've never seen eucalyptus trees in person so I wouldn't be able to make that connection but I love that my art reminds you of that. and regarding my accent, it's funny that you say you love it. as a 15 yo immigrant coming to Canada 30 years ago, I hated my accent as I wanted to be like everyone else. I didn't want to have an accent but by that age it's hard to loose it as I still have it so many years later. It looked so messy and chaotic as individual pieces so I was skeptical but then you put it all together and added finishing touches and I LOVE IT!!! So glad I stayed until the end like you directed :-) I love the feeling of warm wax so this is a definitely going on my list.

Combine masking tape or contact paper to create stencils them dripping melted crayons can also get some amazing affects too. Then when you remove the making tape it can get super cool.

Lol watching these art videos makes me wonder how much better i would be, if i used the proper supplies.. Am i the only person in the world that buys most of their stuff from the dollar store or walmart? I dont know what kind of brushes im supposed to use with acrylic. Ive never owned or used one of them pallet knife things (or seen a reason why you would need to).
I use brushes from the dollar store as if I ruin them its ok, I even bought palette knifes from the dollar store and I've even used plastic cards. I have made my own gesso and texture paste. The only thing I haven't been able to replace is gel medium. That one I always get the proper one as its so important for gluing. I definitely use a lot of items from around the house and recycled materials. I know great artists that use cheap materials, its all how you feel inside... you could use crayola markers and draw the most beautiful paintings.
@@KerenTamir some of my best work is done with crayola pencil crayons lol and yeah i use a lot of recycled stuff too! I honestly have no idea what medium is actually for.. i have this really nice looking mother of pearl colored medium (bought by accident), and i usuallly mix it with a fine glitter clearish acrylic paint to make it an extra shiny pearl, which ill use as a top coat on certain things. I own one paintbrush that didnt come from either walmart or the dollarstore. My mom gave it to me. I guess it cost like $15, which i think is outrageous. But i like it for doing grass or fur, because its a square shaped brush, but its got short and long bristles that make it super easy to do things like that. And although i regularly trim brushes into different lengths and shapes, i have not been able to make a decent one for grass/fur lol. Diy-ing on a budget is my thing lol. But i do wonder if it would make a world of difference if i were to use real or good quality supplies. I know that theres always a learning curve for anything you use (switching from crayola to prismacolor pencil crayons took some time getting used to when it came to not smudging my work all to crap). I guess if and when i can afford it, ill have to do a bit of a science experiment on this lol.
Another excellent tutorial, Keren. Resist is such a fun way to play, and you gave excellent ideas. I haven’t played with colored candles before, and I must now keep an eye out for some. Thanks for all your time, effort, and love into your share with us.

How do you know that we are not the "normal" ones and everyone else is crazy? besides normal is overrated!! lol. I love feeling strongly and wearing my emotions on my sleeves. Do you use masking tape to hold the 4 edges? Then when you are done you can put the paper under heavy books to flatten. Water will warp paper but you can hold it down with tape while you work

Combine masking tape or contact paper to create stencils them dripping melted crayons can also get some amazing affects too. Then when you remove the making tape it can get super cool.

I have used the Vaseline to keep paint off things like windows or hardware when painting. Works great and easier than taping.

Lol watching these art videos makes me wonder how much better i would be, if i used the proper supplies..
Am i the only person in the world that buys most of their stuff from the dollar store or walmart? I dont know what kind of brushes im supposed to use with acrylic. Ive never owned or used one of them pallet knife things (or seen a reason why you would need to).
I use brushes from the dollar store as if I ruin them its ok, I even bought palette knifes from the dollar store and I've even used plastic cards. I have made my own gesso and texture paste. The only thing I haven't been able to replace is gel medium. That one I always get the proper one as its so important for gluing. I definitely use a lot of items from around the house and recycled materials. I know great artists that use cheap materials, its all how you feel inside... you could use crayola markers and draw the most beautiful paintings.
@@KerenTamir some of my best work is done with crayola pencil crayons lol and yeah i use a lot of recycled stuff too! I honestly have no idea what medium is actually for.. i have this really nice looking mother of pearl colored medium (bought by accident), and i usuallly mix it with a fine glitter clearish acrylic paint to make it an extra shiny pearl, which ill use as a top coat on certain things. I own one paintbrush that didnt come from either walmart or the dollarstore. My mom gave it to me. I guess it cost like $15, which i think is outrageous. But i like it for doing grass or fur, because its a square shaped brush, but its got short and long bristles that make it super easy to do things like that. And although i regularly trim brushes into different lengths and shapes, i have not been able to make a decent one for grass/fur lol. Diy-ing on a budget is my thing lol. But i do wonder if it would make a world of difference if i were to use real or good quality supplies. I know that theres always a learning curve for anything you use (switching from crayola to prismacolor pencil crayons took some time getting used to when it came to not smudging my work all to crap). I guess if and when i can afford it, ill have to do a bit of a science experiment on this lol.
Another excellent tutorial, Keren. Resist is such a fun way to play, and you gave excellent ideas. I haven’t played with colored candles before, and I must now keep an eye out for some. Thanks for all your time, effort, and love into your share with us.

Yeah but what drives me crazy is when paper wrinkles...no matter what i do.
Do you use masking tape to hold the 4 edges?
Then when you are done you can put the paper under heavy books to flatten. Water will warp paper but you can hold it down with tape while you work
