Thank you for sharing your techniques. This is the first time seeing these. I now have some ideas to bring to my ladies group for our "I'm not an artist Art day"
Thanks so much Heidi yes people can do creative things with so many things that could go in the garbage. I have other cool videos like this for your group if you want to find even more ideas
Thank you for showing what DIDN’T work. It was so freeing to see how you adapted your technique until you got what you wanted. I have a problem with perfectionism as a creator and this really helped!!
Thank you so much Katy. Yes I actually do that often because it happens to me a lot. I also don’t like perfectionism. I prefer perfectly imperfect work. Actually this upcoming week I have one video coming up where I couldn’t even finish. If you click the bell icon on my channel you will be notified when it comes out
Awww… I ran across this video and now I can’t wait to have my grandkids over to have a fun painty day. They will really enjoy these techniques! Thanks for the sweet reminder, Karin. God bless you!
Thank you so much Keren, I really really enjoyed watching you creating all these amazing backgrounds with different ways of creating them. I really really love ❤️ I the results too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
I had plans with my friend in Spain to do this technique together on Zoom so great timing of the video for her to watch! Loved the video Keren...thank you!
Dear Keren, this is fabulous! I'm going to try this with my grandson. It's tricky to not interfere and "help" without being intrusive when painting or crafting with children. I think he will enjoy these free-flow colourful playful techniques. He's 5+
thats wonderful.... Im sure he will enjoy it especially with the shaving cream. just have lots of paper around as you will create a lot of prints and it will get very messy lol. but its fun....I did it with my daughter and she loved swirling the paint
@@KerenTamir I wanted to tell you, my Son who has Autism & Myself have used the shaving cream technique everyday since I saw your video! He just LOVES it! Thank you so much for having such “Thinking out of the Ordinary” ideas! It’s actually quite amazing how vibrant the colors come out on the card stock paper once the shaving cream is removed! There’s a bonus too, It smells great from the shaving cream! lol ♥️
That was fun to watch IT must be more fun to do so I m going to do this.I am going though such a time of sorrow I really need this .A few moments fun. Feeling like a child Thank you sharing
it was really fun!! then I did it with my daughter and she enjoyed it too. I've been feeling sad myself Heleen so I needed this too, just a little fun to feel like a kid again
Watching you do that with the shaving cream, I wondered if did be possible to make it look like a feather. Thank you for sharing!!! I hope that you have a blessed weekend!!💗
I watched your neurographic design video and then this one, and boom you've got a new subscriber 😊 I have not done anything artsy in years, and you made me feel the therapeutic potential and want to create something again. You're a gift, thank you 💕
OMG same story! I've had a rough year and need creative outlets that don't always require copious amounts of prep and/or clean up. I have binged your channel and am super glad I found your art and instruction!
All those techniques look wonderful- the backgrounds they produce are beautiful! Got to try blowing bubble - that shaving creme looks absolutely messy (but I bet the paper smells great)!
I did this with my granddaughters who were three and five but I used food coloring and it worked just beautifully… Goodwin messing around with little children! Mine I do with acrylic paint and they really are beautiful …thank you for sharing
thank you Natalie, I needed to hear this, I am not trained in art therapy but I use art as my therapy and I try to share my experience. I'm glad you feel that as well. It means so much
Thank you for sharing. I have been wanting to try the shaving cream technique for awhile, and this is the perfect tutorial. The other two ideas look like so much fun too.
The bubbles are my favorite. I discovered that adding starch keeps the bubbles a bit stickier, if that makes sense. I love using starch for consistency, so I added it to my bubbles mixture. This is so much fun! I really enjoy your mixed media videos, they really have inspired me.
Keren, you are amazing!!!! So creative!!! I had forgotten about the shaving cream!! Your backgrounds were awesome!!! Thanks so much for sharing!! Hope you and your family have a wonderful and blessed Christmas!!! Hugs!!
What art journal do you use dear? Is it store bought?are the paper you use watercolor paper? Sorry for question,I don't know if it was mentioned and I'm new and clueless about everything, and I agree with everyone that you are inspiring and so fun to watch, thanks
thanks Sabrina. I just updated the one I used the most which is store bought Dylusions journal. but here is a video that might help you: th-cam.com/video/12ot3hqkloY/w-d-xo.html
Okay the best way to remove all the paint off your stencils is put it in hot water and add a dishwashing pod that it's soak the paint comes right off really really quick maybe 20 minutes and it will come right off even I use glitter and it comes right off it's amazing that's the only thing you need
The last image of the art journal is beautiful. Did you prime the pages before you added the paint bubbles? I'm kinda binge watching your videos right now. They're so inspiring.
No I didn't prime the pages. but I should have used a more bubbly soap like dish soap. I only use natural hand soaps in my house and it didn't create as many bubbles as I had wanted
I use a bubble gun when I do the bubble paper with the kids. There's no sharing straws or soap near your mouth either. You can mass make too. Easy clean up also!
thank you Brandy, so you can actually remove it right away but you'll see that when you do it, there's so much shaving cream that you end up covering so many papers lol. So I would just run all the papers first through the shaving cream and then once your done, remove it. If you want to test just one to see if it works by removing immediately then you can. I let mine sit because I had too much cream to spare and I didn't want to waste. The soap bubble one is really fun too and for better bubbles use dish soap.
I actually just found you today- my suggested video links from youtube. I have altered books and played with canvases for about 3 years now- and also make junk journals and glue books.
Brandy I'm self taught as well so I understand. I've been doing this for many years so it just takes practice and perseverance which I see you have!! enjoy your creative journey and learn how to tell your story through art!!! it will open up so many doors for you!
i thought it would be but it wasn't so bad. Using a tray helps. I did put too much shaving cream, looking back maybe less would have been better. lol I got so many prints though
Karen, check out my pattern coffee papers, used the bubble technique on them and love them!! Cheap, fun, and really easy to do, with just instant coffee. So yeah! You feel like a happy easy going soul, loved you creations! Thanks for the pretty inspo and sight, and your journal... so super cool and easy spread! 🥰🥰🥰

I think I saw some of the background patterns a long time ago but not sure I saw the bubble one. yes i have a feeling that I should have used dish soap. I think the one I used had too few chemicals as I like to keep my hands nice and chemical free.

So Beautiful! What do I place ontop of the shaving cream to seal it? And does it give it a sticky texture?
it is actually a very smooth surface not sticky at all and it's acrylic paint so it doesn't need sealing.

What is your Etsy shop called
Hi Melanie it is listed below in the description area it’s under Keren Tamir art on Etsy
I use a plastic ruler to remmove the cream. It only takes on swipe
