I'm sorry, what point are you trying to make? I genuinely don't understand. There are a million ways to vanish card...this is just one method.
If you saw somebody perform this particular method with their sleeves rolled up, they're probably not a very good magician.
If they used some other method, then I'm not sure why you're saying it.
Help me out here, I wanna understand.

The answer is almost _never_ "it went in his sleeve."
If a magician is making you think that something went up his sleeve, then probably 80% of the time it didn't.
Either way, that's not really the goal here. Lloyd isn't trying to teach people how to be magicians, generally speaking. Most of the time he's just showing people how they can make their own gimmicks instead of buying them. This one, for instance, is something that you could build instead of buying a utility like the Raven.
I can assure you that Lloyd can vanish a card with his sleeves rolled up. 👍

At the beginning, I knew the card went up your sleeve, but didn't know how. 👍
In 1976 I purchased a trick from the Exchange and Mart to make a coin disappear - it involved a similar gimmick that shot the coin up the sleeve on a clip attached to a piece of elastic - LOL!

Same idea and concept as Blackstones vanishing bird cage, just a smaller version. Great job incorporating this principle into a card trick.
I kinda guessed it was a pull of some sort, but still a cool effect regardless.

but without music we ear the noise of the card when it "disappear".

Wow, it's the kind of gimmick that led to the cliche "nothing up my sleeve". Leading a generation of people to suspect "magicians have something up their sleeve"! I would love to win your gimmick by the way, looks like a fun vanish to perform!
im an aspiring magician and i love the gimmick videos because a lot of the tricks i do are with a fake card deck or setup and i feel like i need to expand my tricks to slight of hand and gimmick props.
That's awesome! I love gimmick magic too. Mainly because you can be the best magician in the world with Sleight of Hand but gimmicks can do things that no sleights could ever achieve. To our audience, they create real miracles.

My guess is slight of hand to back of hand and then top finger releases invisible threat pulling card into sleeve.

Good idea!.... But instead of a sweater, I think you can use a jacket.... Carefully attach the magic device to the sleeve, show the viewer the trick and, if necessary, get rid of the magic device, it will be quite neat to remove the jacket. Accordingly, everything will remain a mystery to the viewer.
I swear to God, less than a week ago I spent ten minutes staring into my drawer of supplies, thinking "Would it really be that easy to build myself a raven?"

It's a great illusion but I doubt it's usable for a full performance.
If you start with this one, you have to get rid of the cardboard. If you end with it you have it around your arm the whole time and you have to bring out the card at any time.

I do an open fingers back palm...you can show front and back of hand freely, takes seconds to construct.

What if it is a marked card?
And to really blow their mind, an hour or so beforehand, sneak the card into their pocket or in their bag or purse or anything. I like slipping card into a pocket of theirs or place it in some far off position like the roof of house or across the street in a bush that they will go find lol.

If you go frame by frame at 0:04 you can literally watch it behind the hand in a single frame then behind the wrist heading into the sleeve in the next frame. ;)
