This effect is not mine or anyone else but the creators to expose, so for that reason, any comments trying to guess the secret will be removed out of respect 🤙
The "key" (pun intended) to selling this effect is a convincing piercing of the bill. I think you may need to still work on that part Lloyd :D Puncture a hole for real with the key and see how different that looks.
Hi @LloydB and Others! I don't have experience using polymer bills in magic but I travel enough to have seen/felt several kinds. I never considered tearing one because of the material. Do they tear as easily (for real) as it appeared in the video? I'm asking because it looked just as easy to puncture & tear (in performance) as the paper U.S. bill. Thx!
I had a similar trick with a wand that went through the bill, but the handling of that was a bit fiddly... This seems much cleaner, and I don't even know if it works the same way 😄 Looks very nice.
So I've been getting into key stuff recently, so I'm interested but cautious. Could you keep it on a key chain? Does it come with an ungimmicked to hand out? Would it accidentally rip a receipt? And would it work with UK notes without a full crease (since they don't crease but bend)? Also will it be available in the UK? Cheers Lloyd 👍
Very nice. I do a scissirs thru dollar and you can hand the bill and scissors out after. My own original method. I would definetly get this. Its really cool and great fo impromptu work . Keep up the good work, Lloyd 🙂🙂🙂💯💯💯
SO to Nicolas and Henson! However, I will always keep using Ignition by Chris Smith. To me (and the spectator) it looks more natural since the borrowed bill does not need to be folded in half. When the bill gets folded in half, it may seem like you are hiding something, while with Ignition you can do everything in plain sight and hand out the borrowed bill as well as the key. Once again, Shout out to Nicolas and Henson. I would never be able to come up with the things they have come up with in the past.
@@JakeDeClercklove ignition . If this ever goes out for sale again (it’s all sold out from what I can tell) I may pick it up to compare , but Ignition is a high bar for sure.
@LloydB Appreciate your reply, Lloyd, but according to their website, "You cannot add Swiss Key by Nicholas Lawrence (Pre-order Item, ships on 10th June 2024) to the cart because the product is out of stock." Hopefully, another production run will be forthcoming. Great review, BTW!
For A Believable trick make sure the Key Notches, not the straight side, are facing the direction you plan on pulling the key…uses Notched side As a Saw to pull it through. And, Punching a Key through a Bill where the Bill isn’t supported enough to actually punch Anything through.
No hinges! Really interesting secret to this thing and very hard to see, even up close! But out of respect for the creator, please don't try to guess the secret 🙏
“Terrible Green Website”. 😂. As much as I utilize the café, it is very much like Mos Eisley, You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious.
You can find gold there. But I can understand that some creators hate the cafe as people (you know who can be trusted over time) point out obvious flaws of their products. Sales go down when this happens but often rightfully so.
The way you hold the key before "puncturing" the bill is.. ahem, "key" to the trick, I'd imagine. The more of your videos I watch, the more easily it is to imagine how a trick was done.
Nothing against the trick, but this looks exactly like the pen through bill that has been around for decades. And for the layperson it doesn't matter what you do it with, if it looks the same, it will be the same trick. And I expect many people to say they have "seen this trick", when they just mean another 'X through bill' trick. Just because it's new and might have a new method, the spectators won't know this. So keep this on mind before buying it.
It may appear to be but the method is different and new. You should check out some of the WILD stuff Nicholas Lawrence does with this (Like using it for ultra clean coin vanishes) on his site. The only similarity this really has to the classic pen through bill, is that this can also do that effect but 10x more. 🙏🏻
I think I know how this works, but as others have mentioned, it does not look at all like you actually puncture the bill and if you try to puncture a real bill with a real key, you will see that one, it is not easy, and two, virtually impossible to smoothly slide the key through the bill once punctured. I am a huge fan of your channel, but I have to say that this is the least convincing illusion I've seen you perform. Sorry.
By this logic any card through Bill, bill through bill, or even pen through bill would immediately cease to function. It's true that it would be hard to pierce a dollar with a key. It would also be hard with a pen, pencil, playing card, business card...literally anything other than a knife or an awl.
There is two kinds of penetration effects. You can either Puncture the object or have the object melt/phase through the object in a way that like you said doesnt behave how youd expect it would. With that in mind it would probs be better to present this trick as the latter since that audible stabbing sound is missing.
This effect is not mine or anyone else but the creators to expose, so for that reason, any comments trying to guess the secret will be removed out of respect 🤙
Reckon you should remove the UK note penetration as the angle gives it away...
Yeah, the angle at 3.59 gives away the method. Best to take out the UK bill part if you’re concerned about exposure.
3:58 watch your angle.

Do you think one needs major experience working with coins to pick this effect up quicker?
@@F3PIZZA Any sleight of hand skills you have with coins would definitely be an advantage.
Nicoles Lawrence and Henson Chen are amazing! And this is real nice and visual! Thank you Lloyd for sharing!
They are the dream team man!
@@LloydB that they are!

How examanable would you say the gimmick is? Or is a key switch absolutely necessary?
Very nice. I do a scissirs thru dollar and you can hand the bill and scissors out after. My own original method. I would definetly get this. Its really cool and great fo impromptu work . Keep up the good work, Lloyd 🙂🙂🙂💯💯💯
I love that it matches the Scotch and Whiskey gimmick! As if I need another reason to pick this up.
Good on ya for not spreading negativity!

How are the angles
Does it work on plastic bills ?
Totally amazing, love it,even better that you didn't reveal it right away 🙂
Huh, really good idea for the gimmick. So clever, love it!
Good move to show the ungimicked side in the thumbnail. Very nice gimick with a very good processing.

It's almost there! 🎉🎉🎉
Have any clue when more will be in stock? Pre-order sold out.
I think the pre-order opens in about 2.5 hrs (so I’m told).

Wow! Thanks 👍 very very interesting!
Almost 100k, Congr bro
That's pretty cool! I can guess how it works (and I'd probably be right), but it looks worth getting!
Nice I might have to pick one up myself
The method is very obvious, but it looks really cool
Dang, apparently the pre-orders are sold out. Any idea when another batch will be coming?
I think the pre-order goes live at 2am this morning due to the time zone difference. 6pm PST.
@@LloydB Thanks for the clarification. This looks brilliant.
It’s available for pre-order now on Nicholas Lawrence’s website.
I’m thinking the key has a hinge of some kind ?

I thought I'd worked it out, but wasn't 100%... And then I heard a tiny sound and was "yep, gotcha". But a visual trick like this is great 😊
Like a pen through bill I guess back of the key is a magnetic shell
Hey, that’s kinda neat!
That is sweet!
I hope other magic dealers will pick this up!
You should do more of these showcasing videos, they're really cool!

Hope to visit one day!

Same as the pen by cornalias

hmm... it seems like the top part of the key is a magnet with two layers
