stories that are musical? ......or music that tells stories? don't matter, it's canada's blue rodeo and it's all about just plain old true sound and experience........but it all comes from the heart and it's far from the people in most parts of the world can identify with. it is pure, heartfelt canada
It's always amazing when Jim Cuddy and Greg kilburn can decide who can sing what and who's is better sounding...I think if Jim Cuddy sang this one it wouldn't have sounded good
In the cool of the evening blue/I feel so tired and alone/where does she get off telling me that love can save us all?/save us all... Do lyrics get any better than that? :)
She sees the world through rose-coloured glasses Painted skies and graceful romances I see a world that's tired and scared Of living on the edge too long Where does she get off telling me That love could save us all Save us all She takes my hand and leads me to nowhere town No matter where I stand, it's always neutral ground In the cool of the evening blue I feel so tired and alone Where does she get off telling me That love could save us all Save us all And it's day after day I keep hanging around, can you tell me why? Night after night Yeah, I know I should leave but there's something In those eyes That keeps me hanging on I'm hypnotised It breaks my heart and I don't know why Tell me why Tell me why, oh-oh She sees the world through rose-coloured glasses Painted skies and graceful romances I see a world that's tired and scared Of living on the edge too long Where does she get off telling me That love could save us all Save us all And it's day after day I keep hanging around, can you tell me why? Night after night Yeah, I know I should leave but there's something Day after day after day after day After day and I don't know Day after day after day After day and I don't know why
One of the many times i saw them was at the original Ontario Place Forum for 6 bucks. Really underrated songwriters internationally, I think both Cuddy and Keelor influenced a generation of alt rock and country artists in our country. Nice guys too, after touring around myself in bands their tunes could best describe our lives as musicians on the road. Thanks Blue Rodeo .
Yea, I can remember driving 2 hours to the Woodstock Ontario Fair to see them. The cost was the admission to the fair. This Fall I saw them in London. For the 30th anniversary of 5 Days. Tickets were $75. Same great band! Wouldn't have missed it. Worth the price.

has to be one of my favourites. was that the lead singer of crash vegas flashing in the video?
She sees the world through rose-coloured glasses
Painted skies and graceful romances
I see a world that's tired and scared
Of living on the edge too long
Where does she get off telling me
That love could save us all
Save us all
She takes my hand and leads me to nowhere town
No matter where I stand, it's always neutral ground
In the cool of the evening blue
I feel so tired and alone
Where does she get off telling me
That love could save us all
Save us all
And it's day after day
I keep hanging around, can you tell me why?
Night after night
Yeah, I know I should leave but there's something
In those eyes
That keeps me hanging on
I'm hypnotised
It breaks my heart and I don't know why
Tell me why
Tell me why, oh-oh
She sees the world through rose-coloured glasses
Painted skies and graceful romances
I see a world that's tired and scared
Of living on the edge too long
Where does she get off telling me
That love could save us all
Save us all
And it's day after day
I keep hanging around, can you tell me why?
Night after night
Yeah, I know I should leave but there's something
Day after day after day after day
After day and I don't know
Day after day after day
After day and I don't know why
