This Word from God makes me ashamed for not being what our Lord wants me to be. One of the best sermons ever. May the Spirit of God convict and bring us back to true worship with respect and Honor. Wish everyone could hear this message. Thanks for posting.

Well I just heard this message. And yes in a world where shame appears Glorious to some, everyone most certainly needs to hear it. Lord Jesus may have come to save us from sin but he ALSO came to save us from God; HE came to save us from the WRATH of God. God bless.

I wish all of us who agree here and are understanding ,being convicted and blessed; being fed and loving the Word of God; loving God with deep reverance, I wish we could all worship God together. There are so few people where I live who truly care and are passionate about these things.

Every word from this man shows his love, respect and just awe for our Savior! It is so obvious when he preached that he loved God so deeply and wanted everyone he came in contact with to experience that same love and awe. He is greatly missed!

I attend a church that dresses causal and l can understand his view, however God sees the heart, and l can only imagine how unclean, He perceives us! However we are clothed with the righteousness of Christ!

I agree with 100%. It’s such a distraction to see how people dress for worship, and the loud talking in the sanctuary. It really bothers me.

The way I was bought up was that the Church wa A Holy place. A sanctuary where we worshipped this great holy GOD the Creater of this world and us. Only spoke in whispers and children were kept under control and taught how holy this place was. We were always dressed in our Sunday best clothes.
That has all gone now. Just like a parrot house and kids running around the church during the service. Yes, respect for God has completely gone. That is why I do not attend the house of the Lord anymore.

Reality wise, this message is full of conviction as it reminds me that Sundays are not just casual days to listen the message and step out of the church, thinking that "well yeah, its a good sermon and all, fellowship, and etc." But to be reminded that we are worshiping Him in the fullness of His glory, and His holiness and Majesty.
This is the sermon that should be listened nowadays.

Don't you know that RC is a monotheist and yet admitted here that he is not and made the bible a liar. 1Cor 8:55 "For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”), 6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live". This verse disqualifies any notion of equality with the Father. The reason why people are being deceived is laziness. You can only trust the bible, not any creature except Jesus. More verses to ponder upon; Isa 40:25, Isa 46:5, Isa 44:24, John 17:3.

Isn’t it so, if we knew God appear every Sunday at the service like he appeared at the mount sinai, we would came much different to the service as we come now, knowing God is there but invisible? We would be in shock, fear and awesomeness if God appears visible. This is how we need to come to the presence of God every time we worship God, with the attitude of joyful fear, dressed clean from the outside and clean heart and mind from the inside.

Post-COVID, companies around the world are embracing hybrid flexible working. The demand for convenience, flexibility, and work-life balance is very strong.
Should churches globally offer a hybrid worship model?
RC Sproul challenged all of us with this very helpful sermon. He reminded us that Sunday worship is designed for the glory of God and not the comfort and convenience of us. May God help churches around the world to think through carefully about online Sunday worship.

That was a powerful massage and he is right. Its have been said the that appearance of our outside body reflect what is inside. In another words when you go to the church you dressed to meet Jesus because he said he will be there but if you dress like you are going to the park, you have no reverance or respect for our Lord. As simple is that. In the scriptures God mentioned about how we give our world leaders the best and we give God the leftover. Some people said the God dosent care how we dress YES he does care. Is all about respect and reverence. For his holy name. God is God and we are but dust. Is not fear of God any more on his people we are going to church and we think the we are making a favor to God by going to Church God thosent need us, we desperately needed him. Our salvation is in his hands. OH, i hope the we return back to a our first love. Which is Jesus Christ our Lords. Our salvation depends on him. Let us love him with all our hearts our souls and with all our minds. Is what he requires. Blessed be his name.❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

RC was a hero in his defense of scripture. However, this is one of the few sermons that he missed on(Another was water baptism.) In what world does God care about our physical appearance or the clothes that we wear?
Matthew 22:11-14 “But when the king came in to meet the guests, he noticed a man who wasn’t wearing proper clothes for a wedding. ‘Friend,’ he asked, ‘how is it that you are here without wedding clothes?’ But the man had no reply. Then the king said to his aides, ‘Bind his hands and feet and throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ “For many are called, but few are chosen.”
Correct me Lord if I am wrong for I do not wish to lead any astray.
    ‘Proper clothes for a wedding.’
Do we think these are clothes that we have created and given meaning to based on human tradition + culture?
Or do we believe that these are the clothes that God the Father first gave us and then God the Son died to wash clean?
Clearly the man in the parable had heard and accepted the Good News (in his mind) , but he had not repented (was still living in sin) and showed up without proper clothing.
John 3:5 “Jesus replied, “ I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit.”
Water baptism is to show repentance of one’s self. To die to self and to live in Christ. Not something that must be physically done, but what you must believe. I am not I cannot, but God. Spirit baptism is done by the blood of Christ alone to receive the Holy Spirit.
It is of much more importance to be mindful of our thoughts and emotions towards God. Come into His presence with a clear conscience because of Christ. Bath in the Holy Spirit before appearing before the Lord. Repent of yourself entirely, and accept the Lord for who He Is God alone. We are honored to be called, chosen, and accepted by God.
Ephesians 1:4 “Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.”
Let us put on our wedding clothes everyday, for the Holy Spirit lives inside of His temple.
Thank you Jesus. Protect your temple. Make holy your bride and multiple your Kingdom. Exalt the Father for everything comes from Him and through you. And only through you and your works are we saved!

R.C. starts from an eternal perspective, retains an eternal perspective, and ends with an eternal perspective-and throughout his announcing Christ's truth, he shows by way of simple side-by-side comparisons the absurd inferiority of modern and postmodern attempt to portray themselves as acceptably holy. What is made for God Almighty cannot be simplified into something for sinful man yet still treated as if it were soaring, uplifting, and Heavenly. Even the best of rock music can never escape the poverty of its own category, so it will always be noisemaking, fleshly, and earthbound. Praising the Risen, triumphant Jesus should be marked by the best possible architecture, hymnody, symphonic sound, attire, and reverent proceeding that men can provide-the sort that lifts us skyward into the realms of Heaven.

The longer a Christian lives the more he realizes he needs to be saved.
Even after being found by Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit he continues to sin, continues to grieve the Spirit.
A Christian will sin long after meeting Christ but in the end his hope will rest in the cross and resurrection as he understands clearly that he cannot save himself.

You are no less in the presence of the Lord when you are sitting on the toilet, then you are when you sit on a church pew. How dare you insinuate that the presence of the Lord is something we 'come into' as believers. His HOLY PRESENCE has entered us in His only begotten Son, JESUS CHRIST!!! WE ARE ALWAYS, COMPLETELY AND FULLY UNITED WITH CHRIST!!!!! WE ARE NEVER NOT IN HIS PRESENCE!!!!!!

Now my children they go to a church with jeans shorts and holes in their pants showing half of their body parts. Their worship team wears the holes in their pants distracting the comgragation to look at them. I am despised as I voiced that about an attire of holiness in the worship team.
O Lord I pray You come down and set our hearts straight in this Easter I pray please forgive them. Please pray for family like this. Now I have no family because of their way of living. The only Lord is my family. That enough for me. God bless Dr RC’s soul.

Yes we will. Just not the wardrobe that the late brother Spoul was trying to convince us of in this sermon. The only wardrobe that is fitting to enter into the presence of God is the righteousness of Christ by faith. Love this brother dearly, but have had serious disagreements with some of his extra biblical assumptions.

In Palms 119 more than 100 mention s by David about God’s Law and keeping it, in Luke 16:17. John 14:21 ;15:10,11. Mark7:9 Isaiah 51:7.;56:2. Deut. 7:9. Joshua 1:3 and there are more verses about keeping the Ten Commandments and in it, Saturday as the Sabbath, but men insist on changing it to Sunday which is not command and is regarded as a sin to change an iota from His Word. ??? The devil at work .

John 20:28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”. RC just admit that he is not a monotheist. He described God as imminent and transcendent, yes, but the effect of God's holiness never change. It Jesus, obviously not, is God unveiled every Jew who didn't believe in him will suffer the trauma of holiness!!! Jesus was inhabit by the fullness of the Father (Col.1:19). Honoring him is honoring our Father in heaven (John 5:23b). Jesus in the same chapter John 20:17 Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, (he can be touch and expecting it.) for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’ A God with a God? ” Thomas touched Jesus and did not die, because Jesus person is the veil that covers us from the holiness of the Father who is in him. Jesus cannot be the high priest and God. That is total absurdity, but trinitarians don't care about non-sense when it come to Jesus.

The Lord God never changes and so are His statutes and commandments. He is preaching "another Jesus " who died on a Friday and rose on a Sunday morning. Crucifixion of Jesus happened on a Wednesday (14th of Nisan as per the instructions given to Moses during the exodus of the children of Israel for sacrificing one year old male lamb). This is in total agreement with our Lord's own statement regarding his death and resurrection (Yonah prophecy of 3 days and 3 nights in the grave). Jesus rose from the dead by the end of the weekly Sabbath thereby fulfilling the Yonah code. Till 3rd century Christians everywhere kept the seventh day of the week as Sabbath day. Emperor Constantine (the man with the spirit of Antichrist) changed the day of rest to Sunday thereby creating an error for the body of Christ which is followed even today by followers of Christ all over the world. Anyone who wants to know the truth must go back and check the history. God cannot change his Sabbath to another day. Time and again Jesus reminded us to not get deceived. I feel sorry for this man who devoted his life for preaching the gospel and could not understand the mystery of the Sunday Sabbath.

So what day is the feast of 1st fruits? Sunday… what day did the Holy Ghost come down to begin the church in Acts 2? Pentecost is on Sunday.
So the first church service was on a Sunday!

RC is far and away my favorite theologian and preacher. I can appreciate the point he is making, however I think he missed the mark. God having the Israelites wash their clothes was to instill in them the need to approach Him with reverence and in a state of worship. Do churches today lower the gradient in this regard, absolutely. Is that okay. No. However, the answer is not to buy a suit and starch a shirt, it's to humble yourself and realize that you are coming into "the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect." Whether in shorts or suits, it's the heart and not the sacrifice that God desires. If I'm living Coram Deo, should I wear a suit everyday? Again, Sproul's my man, but I would humbly submit he missed it on this one.

The God we worship did not say , at the resurrection , today I change Sunday as the Sabbath . At the giving of the Commandments He established Saturday as the Sabbath and at resurrection Sunday, He did not called that Sunday Sabbath. He established The sevent day as His day to remember His Deity and creation, at the resurrection He didn’t even say to remember as He did on the Saturday of His commandments. Less celebrate Jesus resurrection as the Day of fulfillment of God’s promise of our resurrection in Him but as His last supper we see His death for our sins and forgiveness in Him , but is not called a Sabbath Day, in the tomb we see His honoring His Father commandments by keeping the Sabbath rest He ordered. There in in the Bible a change from God to call Sunday the Sabbath, that is a change done by men not God. God doesn’t change His mind nor His Ordinances. To connect Sinai Sabbath with the Resurrection to change the day of the Lord is not a command of our God.

James 2:19"You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that-and shudder!!!" You know the devil knows that there is only one God. And they know better than anyone of us. Read Mathew 4. All these trinitarian's claim are all lies. Jesus is not God and the holy spirit is the Father's. There is no trinity, "I and the Father are one" the two will become one. The first Gospel and God intent is seen in Genesis 2:24"That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh". We are separated or strange with God by the sin of Adam, and through the righteousness of Christ we are now married (allegory) with the Father and became one (fellowship possible). Even within ourselves we are strange, spirit and flesh (body). We engage in war against ourselves. That will be married as well in heaven in which we became spiritual body (married together) rather than spirit and body. There are only two not three. Three is adultery.

Hate to think how the guy in a tshirt sitting in the audience feels. Balance is key. This sounds imbalanced and puts to my ears, way too much importance on this building. I was raised as a jehovahs witness, so I know how the importance of appearance can eclipse the Truth very quickly. I love RC but this is silly. The guy who shows up in a tshirt still shows up. He's there to listen. Is the Gospel repentance from tshirts? Come on.

It's a common view among the older generations who always wear suits and ties in formal situations. It's not silly, it's just a point of view which is different from yours.

It’s about reverence. It’s about respect for the holiness of God. It ta about having a Fear of God.
Church is not a place to go and just listen to the Gospel.
The purpose is to go there to worship.
If we go to just listen, we are focused on ourselves and what ‘we’ can get from going to church.
If we go to worship, the focus is on Jesus, where it always should be. Hence, reverence, respect and the Fear of God.
Reverence, respect and the Fear of God can be demonstrated in many ways, not least of all in our outward expressions. How we present ourselves (attitude and attire) is a part of this. Therefore our attire should reflect that.

@@chrismuller6563 it’s about adding to the Bible commands of men. Where did Jesus or Paul or anyone in scripture mention fancy clothes to show reverence? Modesty was mentioned a few times but never the idea of a temple service with special attention given to appearances, that sounds pretty Jewish to me. Outside of the cups were clean, white washed tombs. Wear a suit if you like but don’t tell other people they are doing something wrong by not.

He’s just making a point of how GOD told mosses to get the people to cleanse themselves to be acceptable to worship a thrice Holy God, and the utter disregard of that in today’s worship. Like the vase telling the potter “take me as I am” 🤦🏻

    • @tonyspare2468

@@michaelellis139 I can appreciate that, but Moses and the Israelites didn’t have the ransom in real time, comparing them to us is like the Jews telling the first century Christians to follow the law. Jesus told the Pharisees they were white washed tombs, I bet they had the nicest suits and cleanest beards. The apostles had fishermen clothes and were acceptable to him, I’d have to see just one verse where Jesus calls people to be fancy, not modest, but dressed to impress God as you claim. I don’t think it’s in there…

No no brother RC you are completely wrong about dumping Gods Holy Sabbath day , which is the Seventh day for the first day of the week ! Which is Sunday ! Which cane from the worship of the Sun god Baal !
Sunday could never never become the Christian Sabbath, because the word Sabbath, means Rest !
And Our Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday morning was NOT resting ! He was risen !
Sunday as a worship day from the Pagan Rome, and when the falling away spoken by the Apostle Paul, in the Christian church through the channel of Papal Rome, changed God’s Holy Day, the Seventh Day Sabbath to the Pagan/Papal day Sunday during the 4th century at the prophetic time period of the church of Pergamon ! Here was the master mind in the words of this 4th church of the 7 churches, where the “ seat of Satan, dwelt” !
Why cant church leaders and preachers and teachers just like RC when he was still alive ?
    It is a real mystery!
