Lol, watching a few of the older ones again, a girlfriend and myself did the tour 3 or 4 years ago, along with the museum and house with the van. Very cool
I love covered bridges. 😆 If you ever make it to Cottage Grove Oregon has a covered bridge drive tour of about 10 bridges. Love the cooking segments and tips. 😄
I saw a cool zip lock trick that may work well for this situation. Cut off 1 bottom corner and squeeze it out like a tube of toothpaste, no zip tracks to clog things up. Love the channel bro
Hey Brian, nice video again. The Bridges of Madison County has been on my list of places to see here in Iowa. Good to see you made it out there. Take care.
Madison County is on my bucket list for next year. I LOVED the movie Bridges Over Madison County. I have the CD sound track. I'll be watching the movie and listening to the CD and enjoying ALL of Madison County!
Hi Brian, I am really enjoying your videos! I just finished watching (again) the video you did about a year ago about being minimalistic and how you are able to focus on yourself. I can't agree more! I am currently searching health and happiness myself and will be purchasing a van or rv once my insurance settlement comes thru. I completely believe that what your are doing is a major key to finding health and happiness. I can't wait to hit the road myself and get out of this rat race that we are taught to believe is life. Thanks for sharing, you are inspiring!
You are definitely getting some sun at your new job! Thanks for sharing the bridges! I was out geocaching one day in Iowa and ran across one of those Madison bridges. I had no idea of it's historic significance. Very cool to see and explore!
Those bridges were awesome! I'm a fan of making bean burritos and nachos. When I make nachos, I always use that particular salsa because it's the perfect amount for a single plate of nachos.
What a cool van that is, love the covered bridges. Great tip on using the zip lock bags, I've thought of that for dried soups and rice but not for other things. That does make good use of storage in the frig. Tina
I agree! Enjoy seeing the cooking segments. Already went and got one of those burner toppers to make pizza! Quick, easy, tasty! But ever made something sweet? I may try to bake cookies someday. LOL
I stop by there a couple of years ago. I wanted to see where the Bridges of Madison County movie was made very interesting. thanks for sharing your videos.
Look forward to your cooking. Couple suggestions. Couple others advise going from the bottom of bag, I agree. I use this method for icing cakes & filling deviled eggs. Less waste & easier. Second suggestion, get yourself a slotted spoon for draining juices. You can get them for $1.00 @ Walmart. Don't want to scratch those new pans don't use stainless.😊
Man they put a ton of work into that van! I spent a few days seeing most the covered bridges in northern MO. when I was younger and it was fun. I would say add some cheese to that burrito but I don't think you had any room left lol. Looked like a fun little adventure.
Hey Brian I live in se Iowa well few a bit I still do as I'm moving to Florida soon but wanted to check to see if you might want to meet up before I leave. I have met a few fellow TH-cam people & so far all have went great. Have a great day. Patrick
yep, agreed! just cut one of the corners then it'll be exactly like a tube of toothpaste. trying to get the contents past that zipper part is what really causes the problem.
Hi Brian, great video again with loads of interesting things. One of my favourite movies is Bridges of Maddison County. Clint Eastwood......mmmmm....ok I am showing my age......still mmmmm.....Big Hugs from Australia. 🇦🇺
Jenny From Australia great movie. you would not believe how small the dukes childhood house is. first movie I seen was a Clint Eastwood and loved him ever since.
I don't think I'll ever tire watching you show us what you're making for breakfast, lunch and dinner. it's always one of my favorite parts haha. great tip about using ziploc bags over storage containers. like someone else said, just cut a corner of the bag and it'll be even easier to get out of the baggie! peace + safe travels! p.s. that burrito looked awesome
+Vegan Travels Hey~Gonna look up your Tube vlog as not totally Vegan, more Vegetarian at this point...Would like to see how you fix yummy "Earth-Based" meals as seems tricky getting all the nutrients, yet I bet you are super healthy and eating well!
If you make sure the bag is sealed and then cut off a lower corner you can squeeze the contents out like a cake decorator bag, it helps get more out of the bag with ease.
Hahahahahah I love that you found a random ass weed plant and that's not wild I think someone put a seed there cuz it's next to water and would grow well which she is 😍✌🏻️✌🏻️👍🏻👍🏻😊
Tip for getting out your refried bean and the like, is to cu one of the bottom corners off, and just squeeze out (as if you were going to ice a cake) into your pan! Hope that works for ya...?
On the re fried beans you should try to slice the bottom corner of the zip lock with a knife. I think that way you will be able to get more of the beans out because i noticed some of it got stuck on the zip lock part of the bag.
I watched your cover Bridge video it was really cool have you thought about cutting the side of the baggy maybe one corner of it and squeeze in a nap that way????
+Carlos Lizardi-Montero Its true I am putting on weight! Never had that problem before, guess it comes with age and my love for burritos :) Thanks for watching, I appreciate it.
LOL, that's a lot closer to hemp than weed. It grows wild all over parts of Kansas, especially around the Fort Riley area. From what I've heard it will do nothing but make your head hurt.
Hey Brian.did you ever think about searching for the original photos of some of the special places you visit? And you can add them to the video. Like the covered bridge from the movie spot etc..I really enjoy watching videos when people compare the differences from then and now..that's just me though.. I'll watch your videos anyway..💜
A lot of teachers used to work at adventure land. I also ate at the café, in winterset, where Clint Eastwood ate in the movie, Bridges of Madison County. Did you see the little tiny house where John Wayne lived ? I'm from Sioux City. Enjoy Iowa. Peace.
I saw that van over 8 years ago and it still looks like new. I also did the bridge tour. That one bridge that you could drive over was actually a reproduction. Some idiots burned the original one down, but they had the original blueprints and build the new bridge. Did you stop at Francesca's house? : )
I know this is off topic but don't know where to ask it. I am disabled and would love to spend the rest of my life travelling similar to you. The question is how to get started if I can only spend a couple thousand dollars. I know I can buy something for that but I'm assuming then that I'd need a hefty emergency fund for frequent repairs. So what is your advice? Get a cheap one and then when something goes wrong just stay in one location, save some money and then fix and move on? I've been thinking of this for a long time and I know if would be healthy for me as I'm pretty isolated and am sure I'd meet a lot of people out there and have some adventures. Thanks! Bo
I'm starving. Lol. Stuck in the nursing home rehab with a broken leg. I can't get any yummy food like that. Lol. Of course I'd have to have a gluten free tortilla which isn't as yummy as the real thing, :-) this video is about to make me break out of here and go find a Mexican restaurant up the street, LOL I wonder if I can roll that far in a wheelchair, Ha ha ha! Too bad my van isn't trained to come to me when I whistle, like John Wayne's horse! Lol
+AdventureVanMan I can't wait to see :) I miss my Udi's gluten free pizza. I wonder if I can cook a frozen pizza in a Dutch oven type of thing. With maybe a metal circular wire rack? But gluten free crust tends to be mushy if the oven isn't preheated and super hot. I've gotta figure a way to have my Udi's. Lol
Great video, I sent another donation for ten bucks. A buck a video is a great price. I hope others support your site also because you do a good job. All they have to do is go to your site and click on the "About" and then donate.
+101perspective I keep the van well ventilated. Doors are open and roof vent fan is on most of the time. I also clean and wipe down ceiling and walls often.
little question for you, you really seem to enjoy your cooking why not do more outside cooking maybe open fire or grill just seems like it would serve you better I follow most of your videos
Lol, watching a few of the older ones again, a girlfriend and myself did the tour 3 or 4 years ago, along with the museum and house with the van. Very cool
Whoa, that John Wayne van is AMAZING!
Dude im been reasurching this moove totally ! This is the way to go ! Expecally for me ! Dude your show is great ! Thanks !
I love covered bridges. 😆 If you ever make it to Cottage Grove Oregon has a covered bridge drive tour of about 10 bridges. Love the cooking segments and tips. 😄
Nice one!
The simple pleasures are the best, and you're helping people to see that! Love how you cook.
John Wayne is an American legend!! John Wayne custom van is amazing! safe rving!
excellent movie, Bridges of Madison County. I been there. Visited John Wayne home also. My favorite actors John and Clint. Love my westerns.
Covered bridges, smoke , the Duke, fantastic van and cooking tips. Now this is a complete video. ;) Thanks Brian. ~jman
I saw a cool zip lock trick that may work well for this situation. Cut off 1 bottom corner and squeeze it out like a tube of toothpaste, no zip tracks to clog things up.
Love the channel bro
Thank you for sharing your touring of Iowa. That van is like "Wow". And your cooking show is fun to watch. Simple and healthy.
That was a cool van. Really dig your cooking videos...gives me some new ideas! Take care friend.
Hey Brian, nice video again. The Bridges of Madison County has been on my list of places to see here in Iowa. Good to see you made it out there. Take care.
Cool van wow
Bridges of Madison county. Neat. Love the Duke. Burrito. Yum.
Red onion would work better in a burrito. Slightly sweet and tends to stay crunchy. (maybe add some corn, too) . TFS!
That van is awesome.
WoW! great idea to store food efficiently!
Great John Wayne van!!
Lovely bridges! And the dinner looked delicious! Take care xxx
Love your tip for storing things in baggies for fridge, love watching your videos always learning something new.
Didn't go to John Wayne but went to see Johnny Carson's house in Corning Iowa.
Thumbs up.
ENJOY....THE SIMPLE LIFE
Madison County is on my bucket list for next year. I LOVED the movie Bridges Over Madison County. I have the CD sound track. I'll be watching the movie and listening to the CD and enjoying ALL of Madison County!
What a great little road trip. Loved the van, as well as the covered bridges. Thanks for sharing.
What an awesome van! Yummy burrito!
Looks good, you have your cooking area really organized. I really enjoy watching where you are going.
Great vid, good to see you out exploring 📹 love that duke van.👍✌

I really like that flute music at the end of this video.

tanks you for video 😎🍽🌯good luck Mr..✌
You found "ditch weed"! It randomly grows wild along rivers and streams in the midwest, from long ago industrial hemp farms!
Another great video your getting pretty good at these.
What a cool van that is, love the covered bridges. Great tip on using the zip lock bags, I've thought of that for dried soups and rice but not for other things. That does make good use of storage in the frig.

I agree! Enjoy seeing the cooking segments. Already went and got one of those burner toppers to make pizza! Quick, easy, tasty! But ever made something sweet? I may try to bake cookies someday. LOL
So interesting! At 6:24 , I would simply cut the bottom open of the leftovers.
Like an icing pipe? I agree. Cut the corner and squeeze it out.
I stop by there a couple of years ago. I wanted to see where the Bridges of Madison County movie was made very interesting. thanks for sharing your videos.
dude that looked delicious , will give that a try.
Look forward to your cooking. Couple suggestions. Couple others advise going from the bottom of bag, I agree. I use this method for icing cakes & filling deviled eggs. Less waste & easier.

HI handy tip.....squeeze the contents of your bags to the bottom of the bag, & snip the bottom of the bag, & push everything out.....less messy.
yep, agreed! just cut one of the corners then it'll be exactly like a tube of toothpaste. trying to get the contents past that zipper part is what really causes the problem.
Yes, I was thinking the same thing, I do the same for frosting and filling deviled eggs! 🐙 Great video!

Jenny From Australia great movie. you would not believe how small the dukes childhood house is. first movie I seen was a Clint Eastwood and loved him ever since.
Brian, l live with a view of a bridge in Vt. you can drive on it. NE has many. We lost some with hurricane Irene in 2011. what a view from my kitchen.
I don't think I'll ever tire watching you show us what you're making for breakfast, lunch and dinner. it's always one of my favorite parts haha.

getting all the nutrients, yet I bet you are super healthy and eating well!
I'm glad I'm not on a diet cause your killing me with all the delicious food you make, lol!!!!
Cooking on the road
Cool van. Wish we could of saw inside. Your burrito looked good. Amazing cooking in a van with limited space. Two thumbs up. Great job. :-) Peace :-)
Bachelor van life = eat as many onions as you want. Sweeeet. 👍
If you make sure the bag is sealed and then cut off a lower corner you can squeeze the contents out like a cake decorator bag, it helps get more out of the bag with ease.
I will have to go check out that van in Winterset, I have lived here for 8 years and haven't do the tour yet lol. Sounds nice.
A lot of people don't know the town's/city's they live in.That's why you must get out and explore, it is fun.Cheers
Good thing I'm eating my van cooked breakfast or you would have to text me some of yours. 😄👍🏻👍🏻🚐
Pretty burrito
nice
cut a little hole in the bag at one end and us it like a piping bag
Hahahahahah I love that you found a random ass weed plant and that's not wild I think someone put a seed there cuz it's next to water and would grow well which she is 😍✌🏻️✌🏻️👍🏻👍🏻😊
Tip for getting out your refried bean and the like, is to cu one of the bottom corners off, and just squeeze out (as if you were going to ice a cake) into your pan! Hope that works for ya...?
Enjoyed the video of the bridges. Tough to be on a diet when I watch your cooking segment! LOL
Try making your own flour with potatoes and carrots...then healthy tortillas..THUMBS UP
your food looks so good #
On the re fried beans you should try to slice the bottom corner of the zip lock with a knife. I think that way you will be able to get more of the beans out because i noticed some of it got stuck on the zip lock part of the bag.
I watched your cover Bridge video it was really cool have you thought about cutting the side of the baggy maybe one corner of it and squeeze in a nap that way????
hum..it seems you are putting on some weight with those burritos....lol
I enjoy your videos...Keep it up.
+Carlos Lizardi-Montero Its true I am putting on weight! Never had that problem before, guess it comes with age and my love for burritos :) Thanks for watching, I appreciate it.
I bet you miss some of the Mexican places back in San Diego.Great video like always.Take care
yay wild cannabis :) overgrow!!
LOL, that's a lot closer to hemp than weed. It grows wild all over parts of Kansas, especially around the Fort Riley area. From what I've heard it will do nothing but make your head hurt.
True that.
We called it ditch weed in the day. No high just a headache.
great for fiber, fuel, seed, and some medicines. Not good for smoking.
Hey Brian.did you ever think about searching for the original photos of some of the special places you visit? And you can add them to the video. Like the covered bridge from the movie spot etc..I really enjoy watching videos when people compare the differences from then and now..that's just me though.. I'll watch your videos anyway..💜
lol...you re-fried your re-fried beans.
"I wanna try fried beans, cuz maybe their just as good and we're waistin' time". Mitch Hedberg, RIP.
+dilbot macguillacutty Lol...I love Mitch Hedberg! He was a true talent.
that's like a King Size $10 restaurant burrito right there lol
I call it tri-fried beans! xD
A lot of teachers used to work at adventure land. I also ate at the café, in winterset, where Clint Eastwood ate in the movie, Bridges of Madison County. Did you see the little tiny house where John Wayne lived ? I'm from Sioux City. Enjoy Iowa. Peace.

Mark Handler did you see the weed to ??
Gotsta warm the tortilla homie. Love the vids tho, cool to see how someone else cook in their van.
How do you clean the dishes after you cook?
Light it don't hide it puff puff give. 😆
I just cut a slit in the bottom of the bag, that way I don't deal with the zipper lock.
Did you test that pot to see if it was any good? I bet it makes great garnish for burritos.
snip the tip off the bottom of baggie.
Yum
your vent fan is it a fantastic fan model with thermostat? do you plan on putting a vent cover over the vent to allow you to use it during rain??
I know this is off topic but don't know where to ask it. I am disabled and would love to spend the rest of my life travelling similar to you. I'm just two hours south of you and have done my tour of the bridges. A fun time. Off topic question: what camera do you use for your videos?
cut a corner from the bag and squeeze it out through the opening.
save that juice and use in other dishes you prepare, works like picante sauce
I'm hungry!
You sure that wasn't a hemp plant, it grows a lot in the north east area.
you needed to add that bud of weed into your burrito! LOL!
Cut the corner of the ziploc and squeeze it out, you dont loose as much across the zipper.
Hmmmm...so let me get this straight. You found a pot plant then you cut to making a burrito the size of your head?
+Sarah Driscoll Lol :)
Sarah Driscoll but that plant wasn't even matured yet so even if he smoked it lol he wouldn't be high
I'm starving. Lol. Stuck in the nursing home rehab with a broken leg. I can't get any yummy food like that. Lol. +Vagabond Mango Sorry to hear about your broken leg. Hope you recover soon! I have some gluten free meals coming soon. 😃👍✌
+AdventureVanMan I can't wait to see :) I miss my Udi's gluten free pizza. I wonder if I can cook a frozen pizza in a Dutch oven type of thing. With maybe a metal circular wire rack? no cheese ?
u forgot to add cheese!!!!!! :)

I've never cooked in my van. I seldom even eat in it. I'm afraid it will start to smell like food. Or does it air out well?
+101perspective I keep the van well ventilated. Doors are open and roof vent fan is on most of the time. I also clean and wipe down ceiling and walls often.
you could have titled your video "Found me some weed and rolled me a fat one".
yep definitely weed : )
little question for you, you really seem to enjoy your cooking why not do more outside cooking maybe open fire or grill just seems like it would serve you better I follow most of your videos
