I love seeing your response to the forest! I've been blessed enough to have been raised near many different forests. Mountain forests smell the best, I think. Especially when it's warm, it really brings out the conifer sap scents! I say this now, but it could be because it's been a while since I have camped in the mountains 😂 I live in Coastal Redwood country, which is magical, but smells very different 😊

I don't know if you will see this comment or not, but , I just want to say how awesome it is to see you so happy and at peace. When you pulled off onto the road leading to the campground, the view got sooo gorgeous, and you mentioned how much fun you were having, my heart felt full. You are just thriving out there and it's so great to see! That's what I'm dreaming of. I have every intention on doing just what you're doing. Until then, I am living vicariously through you and a couple of other people living the van life. That really is the good life! Wow! The only thing I missed was seeing you make a meal! LOL! That's one of my favorite parts of your videos. Thanks so much!

Another great video, and a beautiful camp spot......love to camp by a flowing stream, open a roof vent or window and let that fresh air in. Great sleeping! You'll love Yellowstone, but have that heater close at hand, getting chilly up there! Safe Travels....

Blowout's are never fun to have to deal with but you had already planned ahead for something like this and now it's no big deal. Good thinking buddy. Looks like a great peaceful campsite you found.

Wow! That blowout must have been loud as much damage as it did. I had a bolt go through my tire and it sounded like I had been shot so I can't imagine how much noise that blowout made. Beautiful camp spot. Stay safe.

Almost! You drove right past me. I was at Willard Bay State Park on this day. That is on the west side of Interstate 15, 10 miles north of Ogden Utah. There is a Flying J on the other side of the freeway. That may be where you changed your tire.

Another great video. Idaho is a nice State. I have been through a few times. I like the smell of the forest, but there is nothing wrong with the smell of the ocean in San Diego. Especially in February. lol. Keep up the good work.

Truly excited for you and your new adventure! My wife and I have been watching your channel for a couple of months. We are vicariously living our dream through you and other van dwellers here on you tube. I took an interest in van dwelling after reading Jason Odoms book on the subject about 10 years ago. I bought a good used cargo van, had it repainted and that is as far as I got. Work and other obligations have kept me from finishing the inside and installing solar etc. Maybe someday soon I'll be sharing my big adventure. Have fun, be safe and keep the videos coming!

I went to Yellowstone myself a few months back. I went from Colorado up to Yellowstone. On the way back I went down through Idaho to Salt Lake City and then back into Colorado.
Btw, on the tire... I blew out a tire right after I bought my van. I got a new one from Discount Tires. Then a month later ran over a nail with the same tire. Luckily, I had gotten the replacement tire plan for about $15. So, they gave me a new tire for free. All I had to do was pay the $15 again for the new plan. I'm sure other places have similar plans. This one pretty much is good for anything. They will first try to patch it for free. If it was a blowout or if the nail, etc, is in a bad spot then they just give you a new tire.
Oh, did you go to the Idaho potato museum? It is actually a cool little place. Tons of information on potatoes. Probably more interesting for someone like myself who's grandparents were farmers. Some of their antique equipment on display actually looked familiar from when I was a kid. Anyway, that museum was a nice break from what is otherwise a somewhat boring drive through Idaho. idahopotatomuseum.com/
Just found your videos. I really enjoy seeing some of the great free campsites in the Western states. I am considering visiting Goodenough Creek Campground. I work from the road and need a verizon signal for data. Did you happen to notice how the cell signal at the campground is?
+Trip Light The cell signal at that spot was not good. Had a signal at the entrance to the campround, but no signal at the site.
I've lived in Idaho all my life close to that area. If road blocks are set aside like that they don't (in my experience) indicate that the road is closed. If they do close roads to camp sites here it's usually to protect off-season game animals or to keep you out of a place that may flood or become severely snowed in. There are camp sites that I don't see how a tow truck could possibly access if you got stuck. You might be stuck in Idaho for a whole winter without shelter! You'd really be screwed!

We seem to always have flat tires - nails, screws or rocks - sometimes even in the side walls. Guess we are lucky that way. At least, you were not in an accident.
Sometimes they are closed because the water isn't good. It is a nice camp spot.
I'm from Idaho and can tell,you from experience that it is easy to get sharp gravel that will puncture your tires. You are smart to get the tire replaced before you do anymore homecoming. Have fun in Yellowstone and don't do any buffalo selfies.

Van life, wherever you go, there you are, home sweet home. Million dollar views that you could never afford otherwise. 2 weeks later you get another one, it's like having dozens and dozens of million dollar sites to live on.

yes I agree. of all the TH-cam van and rv posters out there this guy seems solid and living life the way he is happy. he seems friendly and honest and all around good person. I have watched maybe 25 others over the last year or two but none like this guy. let's make sure we all support him anyway we can. you can see it in his eyes. keep in rolling brother.

Wow that is Some Blow Out, Gd thin u pulled ov rite away. That could have developed in 2 a Situation esp it bein a Front tire.
I had a blow out in mountains and lug stripped 450 with tire wrecker etc a good friend put me up 10 days because wiped my cash in half
