Girl that was on the third trimester already, her boyfriend and her family were BEGGING her to keep the baby and THEY would raise the baby without her. She didn’t want that. At that point in pregnancy you will deliver the baby anyway. She coud’ve induced labor and given up the baby at the hospital. Instead she chose to go through a 4 day process just to go throughthe EXTRA step of injecting the baby to stop his heart (an overdose of a medicine that generally is used to help heart problems) and it can take up to 48 hours for the baby to finally die before being able to induce labor. Sick. I have MANY reputable sources about this.
The ACL (Australian Christian Lobby) has been strongly dragging this issue out of the darkness and into the public realm. Please keep bringing these types of massive issues to the public - and also let's shame the parliamentarians who can't even talk about this disgusting practice!

As a person living in Queensland but born in Victoria I am disgusted that this is allowed. Once the child is separate from the mother it should have the right to the best medical treatment available. If neither parents or extended family of the child want to take responsibility for loving that child and bringing him/her up, there are plenty of families that would love to adopt that child. The waiting lists for adoption are extremely long and no doubt getting worse as these abortion laws changed from first trimester only to anything goes. I am sick of people not wanting to take responsibility for their actions or even understanding that their actions have consequences. If you have unprotected sex you may get pregnant or impregnate someone. It is not hard to buy condoms or get some form of contraception these days. People could also learn a little self control and not sleep around so much. I do know that sounds old fashioned, but the new ‘fashion’ is making the world a darker, sadder place.

My daughter-in-law's brother was born at 26 weeks. He is now a young man who is a productive member of society. My eldest daughter is disabled. When I was pregnant with my son I had a test at 8 weeks to see if he was ok. If he had not been I would have had an abortion before 12 weeks. Fortunately he was fine and has grown to be a wonderful man who has given me 4 delightful grandsons. I do not agree with abortion as a means of contraception. There is enough things to take to prevent unwanted pregnancies and abortion up to birth is appalling.

My little girl was premi and so very tiny. The brief moments I was allowed to hold her in the early days she clung to me. Under a kilo born and 42 cm long and she knew my heart beat and my voice. This actually broke me to know how these precious bubs are treated 😢

I was at a young age, but God was not in the picture for me. Raised as a catholic, I saw nothing of God in that religious system, but had an unhealthy attraction to the spirit realm, which I sensed was evil. In my ignorance I had opened a door for ‘whatever’ to come into my life; and they did. I held seances as a small child, and had become oppressed as a result. Throughout my teens and twenties, there were so many frightening and unanswerable things that happened. Wardrobe doors opening and closing, blankets being ripped off from my husband and I, and bottles exploding in the middle of the night… That’s only a few things that haunted me. Seeing my dead uncles face, and hearing him walking down the hallway of our house, was terrifying. I saw his face again, not long after giving birth to my first child, and I felt that evil presence again.
It was terrifying to say the least! At 27yrs of age, I reluctantly walked into a building (which was a church meeting) at the request of my younger sister, and discovered that Jesus Christ was the Saviour who died for my sin on that cross. He made Himself real to me on that night, a night I will never forget. He gave me a peace in my heart that was beyond human comprehension. I repented of my sin of playing in the devils playground, and had been forgiven by Jesus blood that was shed for me.
I was more free than I’d ever felt in my life! I discovered that demons are subject to Christ, and that at the mention of the name of Jesus, they had to flee… They could no longer oppress me. It was after I was born again that I read the Bible for myself and discovered all of the amazing facts that were in it. It is a book of history, science, creation, love, relationship, the beginning and the end of mankind, and a whole lot more in between. The most interesting book that I’ve ever read, and I do a lot of reading.

My little girl was premi and so very tiny. The brief moments I was allowed to hold her in the early days she clung to me. Under a kilo born and 42 cm long and she knew my heart beat and my voice. This actually broke me to know how these precious bubs are treated 😢

Adoption and fostering is a complex matter and overstretched system in itself. It's not a simple fix.

Cannot an individual make up her mind before a child could be born alive? How insane is this world we live in? The morning after pill? The early termination? This law needs to be changed. I just can’t understand this. Women must take more responsibility and never EVER EVER let such a thing be a choice - full term termination is an abomination. It is completely unacceptable. How is this the law in a civilised world?
Maybe the individual should control themselves and not create the precious life in the first place. The consequences of the act, is the creation of a human being. I’m convinced our government hates children. Abortion is so easy to access and yet adoption is so expensive and hard. We are lucky to have our daughter but we would love to give a precious little soul a loving home they otherwise wouldn’t have. But there’s so much red tape.

I agree that it’s not about a women’s right to choose, an argument for or against abortion. It’s about a baby born alive after an abortion. The birth parent doesn’t necessarily have to keep that child. The child can be adopted into a loving family where they are wanted and can receive the care and love they deserve. Why let an innocent being die when they are here in this world, breathing? You wouldn’t let any other person die, say if there was an incident in the street. Aid would be brought to them immediately. The way they see it though, it’s an incomplete abortion. The baby dies on the table. At this point the birth parent is no longer carrying the child- their wish. They might wish also not to be responsible for it. That can be granted,.. and the child can live! Both can get what they need from this circumstance. Truly sickening what goes on in our parliament.

I am being told by abortion supporters that late term abortions are very rare. But, in these two districts in Australia 700 babies were born alive in a year. How many of these abortions are done, if 700 are born alive?

Turn of this century, RCOG in London took counsel's advice on this. It is legal in the UK to let a viable live-birth child from an abortion die of exposure.
The Romans did that in antiquity, for any birth, up to two years.
