amazing content! Love seeing animals in their living spaces, and you being careful not to hurt them in any way; just examining and showing us how they look.
Oh, I really like harvestmans. I'm actually breeding 5 of them, and I've just gotten interest in the harvestman in this vidio too. Thank you for introducing us such a beautiful creature.
When they get that big they are normally very old and haven't long to live. Loved them as a kid. We just called them daddy long legs and would put our hands down for them to walk across. After a while they realized they were on some large animal and would walk off fast.
Absolutely fascinating wildlife video. Harvestmen are such delicate creatures that I actually feel kind of sad for them, thinking of how they often lose their limbs.
would these actually be genus Leiobunum? I don't know much about harvestmen but I get huge Leiobunum exilipes showing up at the back of my house at night. we have a creek out back too so there might be some association there
So I think these bog ones have now arrived in Germany. I remember seeing one when I was 16 years old but then never again, and now they can be found in really big aggregations
I’m not entirely sure, especially considering that they possess no venom, but there’s at least one record of such an occurrence. There are some that have a legspan greater than 20cm, so size is likely quite an important factor. I have seen a video of one picking up an autotomized skink’s tail (that was still writhing) in its chelicerae though.
It always amazes me when I find hundreds of them grouped together under a log

Thank you! I do my best to avoid harming animals: this the duty of anyone who chooses to interact with fauna in the wild (as well as domestic). :D
5:50 I love how the guy handles the opilione and there's crayfish just chilling in the background
I love Harvestman I see thousands of them in the woods at summer

Good luck with your endeavor. :)
What do you feed them? I heard they can eat dog food
Fish flakes too@@brandonvessell4659
I like harvestmen because they were my introduction to harmless inverts. They also remind me of the striders from half life
They're just retired striders
I'm trying to get over my fear of these things...as hard as it's going to be, I wanna try picking one of them up
Vonones Ornata specie are cuter and way more handleable than those guys
Love this channel. The coolness and respect have won me.
I enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to your next video!
Thank you, Louie. :D
I like how nonchalant you were when the crayfish pinched you haha!
*Picks up crayfish* 😐 ...ow...
Really cool, harvestmen are fascinating. Recently found a Egaenus Convexus, its body was the size of a coin
I love how when you touch them, they run away maniacally, as if they are in a cartoon.
They do get quite big. I find them funny.

Wow I see these big ones all the time in Cali, seeing smaller harvestmen species are more of a rare sight to me
I have seen the large gangly harvestman in salt lake city, or something similar to him. on the bench from lake bonneville's shoreline.
Would you do a video looking for giant house spiders? I've always been fascinated and terrified of them
New channel I’m watching :)
Bro you deserve so much more subscribers then what you have. You make great videos! Keep it up!
Thank you so much. :D
@@GeneralApathy your welcome!

Harvestmen usually end up getting to around that size here in Appalachia. Don't usually see the "daddy short legs" around these parts.

I saw one that size at a park in maryland , gunpowder state park
Super video I will watch more of yours
Thank you, Michał. :)
That is a Jerusalem Cricket
What purpose do these things serve other than cleaning up bird poop?

That 2nd Crayfish felt like he was in Titanic 😂😂😂
I don't know why but something is funny to me about harvestmen
Still kinda terrifies me that someone found a 13 incher (by leg span) harvestman in Asia… I’ve always wanted to see one of those filmed.
What’s the difference there in the abundance of creatures after it rains?
these are like grandpa long legs
I wish their long skinny legs didn't freak me out because I think they are fascinating creatures.
Thank you so much for knowing they are called harvestmen. Not a spider. Not the daddy long leg.
We have tons of harvestman spiders over here in Ohio
Im never going to idaho then.
I mean Iowa
We also have cellar spiders and a giant hornet with a triangular abdomen that I haven’t identified for seen ever again… Might just be a queen.
Ide have kept the invasive crayfish and put them in my aquarium
looking for surskit but irl
How do they take lizards?
