There's one other thing I would definitely like to add. I really wish removing her from power was a full-on quest. Like how deep does the rabbit hole go type of situation to take down the black Briars
I really wish a lot of these modders actually just get themselves voice actors for these roles. Heck I voice act Orcs and several other characters in the Elder Scrolls community.
I played through this today. It's not complicated and takes about 5 minutes using fast travel. Also once Maven is kicked off the throne you can use another mod that I really like called "Draw- A Dueling Mod" to kill the sorry ass bitch. That mod is a shout called "Challenge" that makes people attack you. Draw is a really nice mod for killing off hated characters (like Nazem) and have it considered self defense.
There's a vanilla spell called fury. Use it on your victim and let the others take care of them. You can complete the dark brotherhood quest without registering any murders.
@@irasthewarrior yeah. Can't you reverse-pickpocket them a poison of fury too? It's really easy to make. I'm gonna download this better future mod and try this strategy out 😃 Thieves guildddd. Don't be idiots about this.
No need. You can completely cleanse Markarth of Silver-Blood influence in the vanilla game. Side with the Forsworn during the Forsworn Conspiracy so that they kill Thonar. Then follow them to their new hideout after to wipe them out too. Don't do the civil war before killing Alduin. During the ceasefire quest, trade Markarth for a Stormcloak hold. This will put Thongvor in charge of Markarth for the Stormcloaks. Then side with the Empire during the Civil War. When you retake Markarth, Thongvor will be exiled. There you go. Markarth cleansed of corruption.
I mean, as basically a low level god, the dragon born should be able to pretty much kick her off the throne, no problem. What's she gonna do? Throw the thieves guild after the DB? Throw some goons after the DB? At most say the DB is a criminal? The DB can easily wipe out the dark brotherhood. So, the DB can easily just kill off maven blackbriar no issues.
Mod change and update suggestion - Make Mjoll The Lioness the Jarl Replacement from Marven in "A Better Tomorrow" mod instead of Horik Strong-Hand, it makes a lot of sense and much more satisfying, with her as Jarl and Aerin becoming her steward.
Who is the steward and the housecarl in this scenario? What happens to Maven and her family? Are they all in the Riften prison or are they executed? Even if none of these things happen, this is an awesome mod, it demonstrates the power of technology and the skill of the modders. If I had any criticisms, I would suggest replacing the word "guy" in the letter, it's a little too modern for the setting, otherwise it's perfect. 👍
mjoll would become the housecarl and there would be a new steward (forgot his name) added by the mod. Maven would go back to normal. I did her quests before i started the mod and i killed her after they kicked that bitch off the throne. Hope this helped
Not really, the way to rule if you wish to survive in the old days was to rule with an iron hand. Maven may be rotten dealing with the DB and she can keep thing in order because she controls the TG but I wholeheartedly agree to dethrone her cuz I'm the boss of the Thieves Guild. Just wish the mods have better voice lines like some.
Maven becomes Jarl only if the Imperials control the Rift. The only way you could do that as a Stormcloak would be if Riften was handed over to the Empire during Season Unending (as it was most likely the case in the video, guessing from the dialogue between Tullius and Rikke implying the Battle for Whiterun hasn't occurred yet). But I don't really see the point of using the mod then, since the throne would be given back to Laila when the Stormcloaks take back the Rift.
If you side with the Stormcloak's Thongvor Silver Blood becomes Jarl of Markarth so what's your point? At least Maven doesn't allow something like the mayhem the Forsworn instigate just to protect her business interests like the Silver Bloods do. Anyway this does appear to be a nice mod, I downloaded this today so I can eventually tell maven to pack her shit and get her ass out of Mistveil Keep. If you want to clean up Riften some more get the "Destroy the Thieves Guild" mod. I just killed them off today and it felt nice. Riften is one of the cooler towns in Skyrim, it just needs it's trash taken out.
Are you kidding ? All the Imperial jarls except Maven (and maybe Siddgeir) are way better than the Stormcloak ones !! Besides, I saw a mod on Nexus called "Stormcloak for good guys" but I don't recall seeing the same for the Imperials... Just sayin'

Seems a little exagerated to state that everyone says it's better to support the Stormcloaks. But since you don't want to see what I mean here : Stormcloak jarl of Morthal : Sorli the builder, a business woman who cares more about her own power and influence than the citizens of Hjalmarch Stormcloak jarl of Dawnstar : Skald the elder, a crazy old man who thinks the dragons' return is a divine scourge somehow related to Ulfric and Talos, and doesn't intend to do anything about it Stormcloak jarl of Winterhold : Korir, who accuses mages, elves, and the College of every problem in the world without any proof, even though the College is the only reason anyone would come to his pathetic ruin of a city Stormcloak jarl of Falkreath : Dengeir, a paranoid old man (although Siddgeir is not better, I'll give you that) Stormcloak jarl of Markarth : Thongvor Silver-Blood, do I really need to elaborate ? Stormcloak jarl of Whiterun : Vignar Grey-Mane, another old man, he's not that bad but clearly cares more about the rebellion than Whiterun, when Balgruuf always puts Whiterun first Ulfric Stormcloak, jarl of Windhelm : what could be said about him that hasn't already been said, except that his successor, Brunwulf, cares about every citizen in his hold and not just the Nords ? I think I've made my point. Note that I'm only talking about the jarls here, not about the Stormcloaks cause itself
An option to kick Maven off the throne? Instant download! Well done!
Your title made it sound as if the player was going to take her place as jarl.

Excellent work. Is there a mod for replacing the Silver-Bloods in Markarth in Markarth? Those corrupt slavers are just as bad as the Black-Briars.
