In the vision of a car lite society, and given that the stations are spaced quite far apart, I hope that the rolling stock used could reach speeds of 130km/h (similar to JR East's rolling stock) instead of 80km/h, to encourage drivers (90km/h) to switch to Public Transport. Its not 100% going to help drivers switch to MRT as it doesnt go to CBD (where legit almost everyone works), but all i know is that the speed is prob 90km/h or 95km/h, cuz the stretch between Tampines North and Defu is only running at 97km/h

Ng Seng Hean the Thomson East Coast Line will be extended to Changi and will also take over the Changi Branch Line. CR1 will highly likely to be Changi Airport’s T5 as the route that it takes towards the depot, there is a curve before it towards the T5 site.
