Than you had one heck of a childhood😌 same here Ty2, Rayman 3, Kao the kangaroo 2, Sonic adventure 2, Sonic Heroes and Pokemon Coloseum where mine and all of them are still faves of mine, but Ty has a place in my heart forever😌
This was one of those games that I wanted as a kid, but was never quite certain enough of to pick up (visits to the game store were infrequent, and I usually only got one per trip.) Having rediscovered it through Nitro Rad and listening to the soundtrack while working on an environment for my own game, though, I really wish I had been. This is exactly the sort of game child me would've fallen in love with. Not any sort of masterclass in design, but enticingly adventurous, gorgeous to look at, and packed to the brim with spunky but friendly characters me and my friends would've wasted hours roleplaying as after mom called us off the TV. Even with those sorts of subjective things aside, the story and worldbuilding genuinely impress me for a series of its time. Starting with a fairly generic, somewhat disjointed gamey portal world. Moving the sequel into a hub town, and having the protagonists form a task force to thwart the villain's plans as they happen, rescuing civilians along the way. Making the stereotypical "dark invasion" entry an actual payoff, by having it center on the same small town you spent the entire previous game familiarizing yourself with. Compared to Sonic's disjointed mess of death gods utterly forgotten by the next game, disappearing and reappearing major world powers, and inability to decide if "literally modern day Earth" or "here's a city made of giant pinball tables" was the design ethos they wanted, Ty's setting reads like Middle Earth.
That's the charm of Ty, the goofy characters and sense of humor woven into the dialogue really make it feel special. I love the direction they took Ty 2 in, the whole Bush Rescue idea was fantastically executed 👌
The reason I find Ty interesting is cause he is a Tasmanian Tiger hes based off a extinct species I never thought I would see the day someone makes their mascot a Tasmanian Tiger/Thylacine
Never heard of this game but can obviously tell the nostalgic take on a game like this for someone’s childhood. Always something about games like these that continue to implement elements to make them memorable and you clearly showed that. Great work!
This game is my absolute childhood happiness, love the depth of the settings, the simple but lovable characters, the amazing music, the silly enemies and the Boomerang variety it will Always hold a very special place in my heart And it makes me so happy that Chrome Studios is still making content even if it's not games, they've recently been making animations of Shazza just recording her day and explaining a location in the original game, which I love because it keeps the original game's memory alive 🦘❤️
It always warms my heart that Krome studios is still around and the Ty games have such a passionate fanbase. A lot of smaller studios fade into obscurity over time, so I'm glad that Krome is still alive and kicking!
It's great to see an old franchise like Ty have some new life breathed into it, Krome studios are also apparently working on a new game for his 20th anniversary!
Ty the TT should’ve been a lot bigger of a franchise but I also appreciate it staying smaller and more humble. It’s definitely no perfect game series, however they never fell from grace due to corporate greed unlike many other game developers.
Absolutely, it's a nice little franchise and they still clearly care for their long-time fans with the HD remasters. I'd love to see at least one more fully-fledged 3D platforming Ty game in my lifetime, hopefully one day!
Banjo Kangerooie
Precisely
This game was my childhood along with sly cooper.
It's such an underrated gem of a game! Personally I've never played Sly Cooper before, but I'd love to try it at some point!
We the same

“Walk in the park” was my favorite level! Plus, the music was sooo relaxing and fit the theme of the leve perfectly!👏🏽
For sure, loved the atmosphere of that level!

Thanks, glad you enjoyed!
The original trilogy's on Steam, I recommend it. Second game was may jam as a kid, But not too many enjoy the 3rd too much.

I actually do think they should make a CGI movie based on Ty the Tasmanian tiger especially if they go with a full Australian voice cast
I am so glad my parents bought me this aussie gem Ty will forever be part of my childhood
So glad the series is getting a bit more spotlight with the recent remasters!
My dude, this video deserves so many more views! The editing is on point! 👌
Thanks man, glad you liked it!
This was the first ever game I ever played to completion back on the original Xbox! I broke my piggy bank to go get a new game and it’s what I found!
The best Aussie jokes are when someone tells you one thing… then points out your stupid for believing that that’s it then points out the real thing
I’ve always played this . This been my favorite for yearssss
Ty got the first two games HD remasters recently

"on a rare occasion" *shows banjo kazooie*
I see what you did there
I saw an opportunity and had to take it 😂

I thought that was a cereal mascot at first
dude belongs on a frosties box
literally exactly what I was thinking
I’m really surprised this video doesn’t have way more views
Thanks for the kind words!
😘
I’ve replayed ty 1 at least 30 times but I could never get into Ty 2 or 3. They just didn’t feel the same to me
I've heard good things about Ty 2 and have been meaning to try it out, although most people don't seem to vibe with the gameplay of Ty 3
I've never played this Im thinking to get it on the switch but I'm not 100% sure
Would recommend trying it out!
HERE WE GOOOOO
