There will never be another Zelda game this good that barely anyone played. By far the most underrated in the series. The very definition of a hidden gem. When I think about the best 2D Zelda game I have a hard time choosing between MC and ALttP it really is that good. Art-style, combat, exploration, dungeons, music, this game absolutely nails everything a good Zelda needs + the central shrinking gimmick and the cloning are among the best central gimmicks of any game in the series. Suffice to say this game rivals the best in the series and yet will probably never get the full respect it deserves
This is my absolute favorite hand held Zelda game. Unique items, gorgeous sprite work, whimsical reimagining of normal places as a tiny person. Love it! And not to mention all of the ARTWORK that was made for the game!
Thanks for watching! Haha yeah, the items in this game are so creatively implemented, it's really impressive what they were able to pull off with all the puzzles in the dungeon and overworld. Glad you enjoyed!
I love this game, it has such anime/adventure feeling, you do feel like an adventurer in it , the characters are all very unique and the world is amazing too .
my childhood zelda game was four swords anniversary edition, so my childhood zelda villain was vaati. when i got older and actually got into zelda, my previous connection with vaati made him become basically my favourite legend of zelda character. with this love for vaati, i decided i had to play minish cap. so, in 2021, i bought a whole wii u just so i could buy and play minish cap. i do not regret the purchase at all. minish cap has the same art style and some of the same sound effects as four swords, and so the added nostalgia just made the experience better. the 3d zelda games are great, but theres a charm to top down zelda games that i just love. this was just a very lengthy way to say that i love minish cap and i especially love it when people talk about minish cap.
Playing the part in the spooky ghost forest where you had to follow the signs was hard as a kid that could barely read and didn't know what left/right was lol. I had such vivid dreams as a kid of turning into minish sized and going into extinguished fireplaces like in the game :D even had the golden GBA with the triforce on the back
Thanks for watching! Skyward Sword is my all-time favourite Zelda, it gets quite a bit of criticism these days but there's still so much to love about it 👌
I can't stress enough how much this game means to me. It was my introduction to the Zelda series and the first Zelda game I ever played to completion. It basically established what I consider quintessential Zelda. If you haven't played it, please consider it. It's a fantastic Zelda experience.
That guy always gave me so much trouble as a kid in Pikmin 1, haha. It was kinda scary seeing all of my Pikmin getting possessed and start attacking me
ya man, this game is so so good. I just played it for the first time on Switch online and I am shocked at how good it is. It focuses more on the NPCs and sidequest than all other Zelda games other than Majoras Mask which I love so much. ALso it might just be my favorite looking Zelda game the graphics are so good.

I love this game. Especially the Picori World are vast. They have the Wood Picori, Town Picori and Mountain Picori. Each has its own character, environment, culture, and architecture. Also they're own elder / leader. Very attention to detail.
I recently played Minish Cap on my Wii U. My first Zelda game was L2tP and I can see the similarities. It's amazing how Capcom can make a Zelda just as good as nintendo can. I love the clone puzzles and the items. I wish the GBA had more buttons so I could use my of them in combat without going back into the menu. It's so underrated, and it's easily a 9/10 for me
Capcom did a stellar job with this one! Perhaps one day if Minish Cap is remade, we'll see some QoL changes like the Sword and Shield being mapped to A and B, freeing up the other face buttons for other items 🙏
I preferred minish cap to ALTTP. I think ALTTP was way too hard and punishing and prefrerred its spiritual successor Albw. Although my favorite will always be link’s awakening.
My first console that was mine was the gameboy adv sp. And with it I got minish cap. I absolutely loved it and really didnt mind the grind of the shells. The dungeons were neat and loved being tiny in a giants worlds. Would absolutely love to see this game remaster in some why in the future.
I’ve always heard this was a under appreciated gem. I figured I never would get to play it unless I got my hands on an old GB Advance so when they released it switch online I was super happy. Going to start it this week.
Minish Cap is hands down my favorite Zelda. It's aesthetic, character design, environmental design, sound and music design are all top notch. The mechanics are classic Zelda, so tried and true. The main gimmick of shrinking yourself is used so brilliantly and adds so much charm (YOU CAN TALK TO DOGS AROUND TOWN HOW IS THAT NOT GREAT?). Kinstones are a really neat way to do side quests, and effect the world in a way we wouldn't see again until Skyward Sword's Goddess Cubes (as much as I love Skyward Sword, Kinstones were still better than the cubes). The characters were all really cool and endearing, and the guide character didn't get on my nerves at all, which is something I can only say about this game and Twilight Princess. But best of all, the overall game design was REALLY tight. Dungeons were extraordinarily memorable, dungeon items ALL (with the exception of one optional one I will discuss in a minute) got used all over the world for puzzles and combat with a frequency that lets them all shine and makes none of them feel shoehorned in (*cough* spinner *cough cough*). Minigames are relied upon for heart pieces SPARINGLING, by which I mean only two are gated behind minigames. Really, there are only three complaints I have with the game: 1) The Cucoo catching minigame for a heartpiece is beyond frustrating, 2) The collection quest to get those figures is annoying (but not as bad as everyone says, just spend one shell per draw throughout the game and more often than not you'll be stopped from drawing because the guy has run out of figures and not because you've run out of shells), and 3) The mirror shield can only be received AFTER killing Vaati, and by that point the only thing it'll be useful for is rematching Vaati which is kinda pointless.
Really good point about the dungeon items! Making them all feel useful even outside of their respective dungeons is something that very few Zelda games manage to achieve, so Minish Cap deserves props for that.
This game is probably my favorite Zelda game! A close second would be Twilight Princess, because i love it, but i like the feel of Minish Cap so much. :>
This game is perfect. The Kinstons make this castle down easily the best. Too bad it's a short game and small hyrule.. And this Zelda game solves a problem that many Zelda games have and that's many items have 1 use but in this game shocking most enemy have a easier way to kill them with any of the weapons. The only item not like that is the claws ...the last boss is the only challenge and what I like is that it's the only final Zelda boss to make u use all of yours items. That's so shocking. U need the bow, cane, arrows ,and lantern . The upgraded items are just convenience to a mostly easy game. And u don't need the drinks untill the final boss or temple I'd say . Also this game has the most capacity upgrades by far lol
Great point about the items! It's common for a lot of items in other Zelda games to (almost) exclusively be used in their respective dungeons, but Minish Cap does a really good job of giving them all uses outside of that context.
My top 10 ALL TIME 🙏🛡️ #1 Majora’s Mask #2 Twilight Princess #3 A Link Between Worlds #4 Ocarina of Time #5 Breath of the Wild #6 A Link To The Past #7 Minish Cap #8 Zelda 2: Adventures of Link #9 Link’s Awakening #10 Legend of Zelda(original)
Agreed, I quite enjoyed it when I played through it for the first time. The Temple of the Ocean King wasn't fantastic, but I feel like it gets blown way out of proportion.
Although I'm not nullifying your passion for minish cap I think the oracles are more under appreciated than minish. I find more people who love minish cap and want a remake over the oracles. I find myself loving the the outliers of zelda... Besides *looks at zelda 2* but I can understand why you love minish cap.
That's fair, I do feel like the Oracles should be prioritised over Minish Cap as far as remakes go. It'd be interesting to see how they'd approach making it and whether we'd finally see the fabled Oracle of Secrets 👀
I think the difference is that more people were aware of the Oracle games existence whereas MC was literally not even known about because of the DS release
Thank you for sharing your wisdom, I will use your advice for the betterment of the channel and ensure that all future videos are produced to a greater standard 🙏
@Dusty Parker a bit late but I gotta say emulating classic gba games on phones is actually very pleasant. Not difficult to do at all and functionality wise plays very well. I highly recommend giving it a try so you have an opportunity to play some of nintendos classics
Good game but the only reason why It's not my top 3 is because to the annoyance of having the stupid EZlo dance around to shrink Link down is annoying. Link To The Past on the SNES will always be my favorite in the series, followed my Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.
Minish cap is such a goated game, thanks for shedding some light on it's greatness

I fondly remember being engrossed in this game on the school bus. Also, the final boss took me forever to beat.
I love this game, and I love this review of it! Wonderfully illustrated what makes this game great

There is an enemy in Minish Cap called the Puffstool that is a direct reference to the Puffstool enemy that appears in Pikmin 1 and 4

It's a masterpiece of a game 👌
Second for me behind link’s awakening but yeah Minish cap is pretty awesome and I hate the fact that some people say it’s bad.
It is because of this game I became a fan of The Legend of Zelda
