    You gave a classic jam the deeper dive it deserves! Hearing "Family Secret" during a double in a mall bar is one of the liminal space experiences that you captured perfectly. Brava!

    Wow! Alannah Myles really got screwed. such a shame, but i love Black Velvet and I recently started checking out her other work which is also pretty great. Honestly, I thought Elvis did get overlooked for the great stuff he did throughout his career. In the early days he was too rebellious, in the 60s and 70s he was too tam - at least that seems to be how the music powerhouses felt at the time. I think they were wrong on all accounts.
