If I understand correctly, you missed two episodes of the "heute-show Brexit saga", but those were the most interesting.

You know the bit in Pulp Fiction where they are in the car, talking about European McDonalds? That's the same thing as the "Royal TS" at 5:20... ie a reference to a DE McDonalds Menu item, the TS stands for Tomato and Salad...

"Harry, hol schon mal den Wagen..." "Harry, get the car..." This is a German running gag, based on a crime series that ran on German television from 1974 to 1998. Hence the many laughs in the audience. It was Chief Inspector Derrick, with his assistant Harry Klein, who worked in the homicide squad. And although this line, "Harry, get the car..." was never said, this line was burned into the collective memory of the Germans. It should perhaps also be mentioned that until 1984 there were practically only 2 public broadcasting stations (ARD/ZDF) and a number of regional broadcasting stations, which together, however, formed the first broadcasting station. In total we had 2 national television channels and the respective regional channel, by the ARD. Ultimately this meant that you could receive at least 3, and if you were lucky perhaps 5 channels. And of course a show that ran for 24 years will stay in your memory. For the sake of completeness, it must be mentioned that certain areas in southern Bavaria and the areas on the former inner-German border, as well as in Berlin, of course the East German and in Bavaria, the Austrian radio and television could be received. Likewise, the Dutch relatively close to the border and Luxembourgers also watched German television because of the minimal language barrier. In the 70s, my family could always receive 5 channels...

The person who played the royal expert guy is Christian Ehring, he is the main host of another good german satire show "extra drei". You might want to check those out, too, there are some bits with english subtitles around e.g. about Trump.
