It makes it even more incredible to see Juan Manuel Correa - the driver who hit Hubert - back on the F2 grid and podium. He suffered life threatening injuries himself, was in a coma for 3 weeks and almost lost one of his legs in this crash. His comeback is the biggest tribute he could do for Antoine Hubert.

@@julianalbisu7600That impact was a sure death. Getting rammed into by a car going 300mph is not something you survive while your car is wrecked itself
One of all time favorite tracks, but I always get a funny feeling in that sector now - the speed is just incredible.. sadly, the look on Lewis' face was terrifying... what an awful wreck, RIP Anthoine.
And also one of Charles Leclerc's, in fact Leclerc went on to get his first GP win in F1 on the same week-end and dedicate his victory to him, one of the most bittersweet moment in F1.
But looking at the at a huge wreck, that is a fatal crash. He was instantly killed the moment Juan Manuel Correa sorry if I got the name wrong T-bone him he was killed instantly upon impact
Worst thing that can happen, these accidents will always bring up the memory, which i have from my childhood, when i saw Alex Zanardi's crash in 2001 at Lausitzring. I hoped he was alive and it was a miracle that Zanardi survived, but they had to amputate his legs. Then i saw Him years later winning Gold at the Paralympics and it was an inspiration to me how he managed this situation. I guess that's the best scenario you can hope for if a car which spun gets hit by another car like that. Hopefully it will be much saver, when accidents like that happen in the future. RIP Anthoine Hubert.

@@Nobodyneedsabodyanymore yup im not a big fan of Nascar, but I saw the crash and was shocked to hear that he died in that. It seemed so minor and casual, it wasn't until his car kept driving in a straight line that I worried
Bouncing walls need to go. The next phase of improvement needs to come from walls, if only they could absorb the car or something, but making it bounce into the track is always a recipe for disaster
Without bouncing walls, hes most likely dead on impact with the wall, ie, Senna. Its the same reason you have barriers that push you back on highways/motorways, dissipating the force of the crash.
