Would love to see and hear your console in action, crazy amazing restoration work you did there. I guess a lot of soldering to do before wiring it all up. I’m building a new desk for my console and still have a lot of work to finish but as with all studios its slowly getting finished one day 😊

Good luck with your desk. I'm sure I'll show the console in action eventually, but it's hard to show the "sound" over TH-cam. It'll just sound like whatever you are listening on.

You are suffering from GAS… You need to attend GAS Anonymous. 😂😂😂 We studio guys suffer from this a lot, fortunately we should be able to manage with the support of others. Love your videos and your restoration of the old console, as my grandmother (RIP) would say, you have patients like Job. Cheers

Thankfully I also have GRT (Gear Removal Therapy) to treat my GAS. ;-)
I've always got something on the way out the door. That's partly because I hate clutter but also because I'm always trying for the "perfect" setup.

Hello, are you hiring people for remote work or something? I need a job in music, and i mix and master my own music in the box (no mix console) as they say in your line of work. I have been told my music sounds professional quality so could i get your feed back on that too? It means more coming from a professional like yourself.

Thanks for the interest. I do my own mixing, but am building a list of musicians for possible future session work. I play bass and keys, so primarily looking for other instruments.

@@EdgetoneStudios Ok that's cool. I don't play real instruments, but i could learn how to play the guitar if taught. I do my music digitally. FL studio 21. I'm not from your state but on the other side of it lol. Michigan. I like the engineering side of music more and i was hoping if you needed an extra hand at it . Beautiful studio by the way. Thanks for replying to me good, sir ☺

METRIC?/ because u said progressive with lots of synths....I can not correlate that ....

Yeah, I can understand that. I wasn't meaning that Metric is progressive. It's just that we all really like Metric and it probably slightly influenced things.
I wouldn't say our music is progressive in the sense of time signature changes or odd patterns over on another. It's just not traditional rock or pop either.
We don't always follow a verse, chorus, bridige structure (though some songs do), our songs average 5 minutes in length (one is nearly 11 mins), the music is dense and layered, and the lyrics often stray towards a fantasy vibe.
Another description I came up with is that we sound like "If The Alan Parson Project and Metric had a baby that was raised by Saga". That was the closest I could come to putting it in words.
Anyway, I'll post some updates when the songs come out.
