I've successfully flipped 4 computers over the last couple of months, paying for over half of my current PC, which cost me $1500 last Christmas. I'm really appreciative that I found your content when I was just getting into building computers. It's been a fun hobby of mine.
@@lightskintimmy If you flip enough it really adds up. I started doing it for fun so if you're not enjoying the process it won't seem worth it. You'll have to do some driving around to find really cheap second hand parts and reselling for a reasonable price. you'll usually only make an extra $150-$200 off of your builds if you go this route. It's only a side hustle for those who have the extra time.
I feel ya, profit is profit. Long as you don't lose money on a sale you're good. And scoring that 3090 was legendary! Whatever you were gonna sell that PC you better raise by $100.
You mentioned building out the 2600 / 1070 systems for 300. Quick Math - 50 for CPU/Cooler 70 for MoBo 25 for RAM 30 for SSD 60 for Case 20 for Extensions (I saw them in video) 40 for PSU 5-10 for Windows 80 for a 1070 That's 380 with no taxed items included. Where are you shaving 80+ bucks off?
Hey man, just wanted to say you've inspired me to try and flip PCs for some profit. I spent around 300€ on an i5 8400 + GTX 1660 Super build and am currently waiting for some interest after posting on several websites. If it does sell, I'm going to keep at it. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for continuing to provide great content. Last week, I thought of you when I picked up a pretty good deal. My new favorite Marketplace description includes "I don't know the specs". Looking at the pictures, I could see it was a B450M motherboard. So I gambled that it wasn't a Ryzen 3, or 1st gen. I figured I would get a good power supply, motherboard, cpu and ram. For $100, I picked up: Ryzen 5 2600 B450M motherboard 16GB RAM GTX 760 500GB Samsung SSD 1TB Seagate NAS HDD Corsair 650W modular PSU Zalman Z9 Neo case Windows 11 Pro license I replaced the 760 with a "free" RTX 2060, installed a $20 tower cooler, replaced Molex fans with new PWM fans, and added a WiFi adapter. I thought about replacing it, but the all white case has a pretty cool look. Going up on Marketplace today for $450.
It's a known scam with that shipping issue, I've had it happen. They're able to copy an already existing active tracking number then when that is delivered they show your order delivered too. So many scammers out there!!
Good Money! It is good to see you selling individual parts too. I would suggest getting a tape gun. The ability to tape with one hand definitely saves time. Also, since you buy just tape refills, it is cheaper in the long run.
holy crap, i just traded in that EXACT model of a dell OEM alienware 3090 in with my GTX 1060 for a 7900 XTX! the seller valued it at RM 2200 (or a little around US$ 500) and i was already worrying if i was getting scammed... so happy to see the amazing deal, Elijah! my main gripes with that model of 3090 were temperatures against utilisation. for such a power-hungry card it does NOT do well with such tiny fans, for me it was hovering anywhere between 80C - 90C at barely 70% utilisation just playing the sims 4, which seemed ridiculous to me, even after sending it in to redo the thermal paste. so i was already really excited to give up it and the 1060 for something more reliable 😅 always nice to catch this series man, you've inspired me to finally start trading away my grandfather's old PC stuff finally. good luck with the house 🤞
I previously worked for eBay as a customer rep, the money that the seller gets from you shouldn't be released since the item never came in, I'd suggest contacting customer rep as the seller may contact them as well "claiming" that the item has been delivered just because they marked it as delivered, they may claim that it was picked up because they weren't able to provide a tracking number of some sort.
@@shadoweditz9335tbf I do think someone having multiple higher end builds goinh on listing would still be better overall then selling entry level pcs all the time
its your audience my dude. i have another youtube channel that has 14k subscribers. that channel only averages 200-500 views per upload so the add revenue isnt great. but through the channel i was able to gain worldwide customers to buy engine parts. in my best years i made 40k annually off it. so yeah if your jawa sales are doing great its more than likely because you started linking your shop to your videos
first of all what was that shirt at 1:54 and why did bro flip us off while turning on his montech air100 pc XD but anyways this might be my favorite vid so far it was so saturated good job and thanks as always for all of the inspiration you have given us :D
i dont know how i feel about selling online while doing a challenge like this. i know people can just say ive shipped x amount of computers without any issues but all that it really takes is something scamming you or for the computer to get screwed up in shipping. ive seen how a lot of youtubers doing these package their computers and its pretty bad so the likely hood of it happening is so much greater. if that happens you are down shipping both ways, and parts cost. so the risk just seems to outweigh just waiting for the right buyer on CL or FB
I’m thinking about buying a gpu (rx 6750xt) off eBay, and maybe a 5600x too. How reliable would you say buying this stuff off eBay is because I’ve never used it before
Elijah I have had a Dell Optiplex 7050 SFF that has an OEM key but it will not activate. 😢 I also found out the activation by phone is not there either 😢
just curious what the taxes are like with Jawa? do you end up having to claim it all on your tax returns. I havent even attempted to sell on there because I assume it would be a nightmare when only making a low amount of profit on each sale even though it would only show the total money the pc sold for, and doesnt factor the money you have into it. Which if using any used parts, there wont be any proof of cost
I have a PC rn that im trying to sell but can't ik its a good price but its only on facebook. What do you suggest selling it on so I can get rid of it?
Hi Elijah, do u mind me asking what camera that is? The pictures look crisp as the pc was in front of me. Thanks in advance and I’m sorry that you got scammed on eBay, I got scammed off a rx 5700 xt for 200 euros but thankfully I got refunded
meanwhile, I am sitting on 6 pcs. Its has been over a month and not even a single interested message and I have dropped the price twice. I am now sitting at a price where I am barely breaking even,
While technically I flipped a PC for profit a month and a half ago, I wasn't trying to profit as it had my old GPU and CPU with new components (got a crazy deal on a Deepcool case) I did sell it and got $50 bucks profit from what I determined the value of the old CPU/GPU with the price of new components I bought. Now I am gonna see if I can actually flip a PC without any of my old stuff. but going in pretty expensive, but the deals were too good to pass and I have the money still from when I sold that PC. I in fact have 2 5700x 3D cpus coming in and I know I can sell one for profit (if the one from Aliexpress works). It is gonna be a tough sell as it would be a pretty expensive PC, especially since my area seems to be competitive. I just hope I can find more good deals for the rest of the components.
Gave you a subscribe for no other reason than I want to help a kid who is hustling to buy a home get there (though I can’t imagine 15K being enough for a down payment)
Okay at the end of the video when you were talking about the scam am i screwed? I bought a r5 7600x for £140 yh not a massive steal but a good deal and the package just says accepted at parcelshop but the guy has been nice and has even gave me a receipt and asked if its came im just trying to see if im getting scammed or not its been like 2 weeks since ive bout it and its still on the same thing
Fyi- the profit in the thumbnail is the total profit throughout the episode!
Thanks for the shoutout when talking about the 3090 at the end, that was absolutely crazy man!
That was absolutely crazy! thank you for looking out
Bro howwwww does that happen
That 3090 deal is nutty
Wow $220 for a 3090 is insane
the feeling of someone buying the pc a day after u listed it is just satisfying af🍪🍪

50 for CPU/Cooler

the higher the value the higher the profit margins. This is true in virtually every business. Do not waste your time with lower end builds.
Yeah but you have to look at the market. Higher end build will sell way slower so it best to focus on mid to low-end. That is where everyone is buying

elijah bro ive been asking you what argb hub are you using for most of your pcs, ive been looking for one like yours i couldnt find it
You said the 3070 build cost $830 and you sold it for $925 and about $100 in fees. Where do you get a $230 profit from?
usually my 3070 builds cost around 620-630 so it was probably an accident

for the 3070 ti build i think the math is wrong. Built for 830 sold 925 with 95 of fees for a 230 profit

The $830.19 was what I made after the fees. The actual build price was $599.36 + shipping materials
