- Hi Creators,
In this tutorial we cover how to block out your scene. Depending on how detail you want to go, this will be a great place to start. You'll see in about 20 minutes, you can get a block out of what your scene is going to look like!
Tools we will be covering include extrude, multi cut, insert edge loop, and more!
There's a lot to cover, so let's get started!
Software Used: Maya 2019, Arnold
Original Concept by Richard Wright's: www.artstation...

Can you explain how to manage texture density in a large scene?
When a large number of objects are included in the scene how to keep track of the balance when the detailing of the elements are in important,
For example if we working on a street scene, Is that the texture density is different from a building to a street light..
It depends if you are working on games vs movies. Games, everything has to be pretty good detail up close, but objects far away can be lower detail. They use LOD (Level of Detail) to achieve it. Movies it depends on the camera. If the camera is close to the object, go ahead and model high with high texture sheets. Things far away can be low both model and texture sheets. I hope that makes sense!
Thank You! Monica,
Thank you monica
It was very helpful
Can u tell please me why the checker grid has colours other than black and white in uv editor???... Its really annoying
Do you mean the UV editor? Or something else? If you go to my FB Community and upload an image of the issue, we can help. :) facebook.com/groups/academicphoenixpluscommunity
op!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why I cant render by my camera??? I selected
That happens a lot. In your render window, go to Render>Camera>choose the camera you want. That should hopefully sold the issue!
Anothing happends 😢 I changed from perspective to camera 1 And nothing
What is it exactly?
