Rise after 4pm drops to 75 minutes usually. Line moves well unless it goes down. Although that might have been because the parade was at 4:30.

We bought a fast pass for rise of the Resistance. It was broken down all day then at 6pm it reopened and because we had a fast pass we just walked right in. No wait at all.

This is exactly the video I was looking fo in planning my Disneyland trip! I haven't been to the park since they had fast passes and now i'm having to learn new stratigies for getting the most out of a day at the park xD

Last month when I was visiting Disneyland we got on Rise with people who have never been on it before, and when the doors opened and they saw all the storm troopers, their reaction was priceless.

We're living it up! Staying at the Grand and taking our 23-year-old son to Galaxys edge, he's never been, so this will be his first time on Millenium Falcon and all our first time on Rise of the Resistance. We're staying for the week. Your video got us all excited for our trip and gave us ideas to make it more eventful. Also! Star Wars After Dark Party!!! Got tickets for the 3rd!!! So pumped!!! 🤩😀

This is my kinda visit. I’m a once or so a year Disneyland trip - soooo getting the most of the day is the only way. Get all the big rides done asap then take it easy the rest of the day. 👍🏼👍🏼

So what time do you suggest arriving at Disneyland/Frontierland for Rope Drop?
Died laughing at the "scamper." Don't know why that struck me so funny. Would have been even better with a comedic music overlay.
I don't think there was a shutdown they weren't including the fact that the ride was starting up when they got there so after 10 minutes or so all the vehicles were loaded then the line stopped until the first group finished their ride. The fact that the ride is about 18 minutes long supports that idea. It's different than getting in line when the ride is already open.

I totally agree that going early is key. The rope drop is really fun. We weren't sure about using the genie plus but we bought it once we got there and it was really nice.

We went without teenagers yesterday (Saturday 1/8) and Disneyland was not busy at all. Covered the dark rides, Dumbo and Astro Blasters. It was amazing. DCA was a whole different story. VERY busy but we needed to use our last 6 tabs for the Festival of Holidays. We rode Little Mermaid, Junk yard Jamboree, Luigi’s. It was one of the best day’s we’ve had aside from New Year Eve….I was just continuously amazed that DL wasn’t busy. Side note: happy to see that a high percentage of visitors wore masks at all times. 🤘🏻Please stay safe so the parks stay open!!

OMG I couldn’t skip breakfast, LOL! I’m leaning towards getting the genie + but will see when we actually go. Sometime in spring but not around Easter. My chorus also has several events on the calendar but I might have to skip one. Plans pending!

Spencer and Katie. I agree with rope dropping Rise. Lightning Lanes have been selling out and wait has been over 2 hours. Tony, did live stream rise a few weeks ago as a “walk on”. This was end of night. Lastly, Spencer you forgot to say “best remove them” for Big Thunder. You ended your streak of blogs doing that.

Listen to them about Frontierland!!!! There is a unofficial social rule where the people from Frontierland start forming a line and think you’re cutting if you’re coming from hungry bear entrance

This is insane my family went to DW in april and got on about 7 rides before noon and went on all the rides except for 2 by 530 people seem to go nuts at DL we are going to DL in February I'm shocked how many people are there so early
Hi Katie! Do you think mobile order is faster if you put in your order first thing in the morning and then set your pick up time for later? Or is it a cluster always? We are going the week after MLK week.

So we are going to WDW soon and just to be clear you can ride the rise and other specialty rides with out buying anything?
Adding to my comment that one reason I want the genie + is that my joints and feet can’t handle so much standing in line. When I was there last June I was hurting at the end of the day! But these pointers are good ones and it might work out for us without the added cost. I just need to plan an extra day there so we don’t have to do everything in one day.

We were there for rope drop in December and went straight to Rise, but unfortunately Rise was down for the first three hours so the line was continuously long for the entire day.
I actually started to guess with you Katie and spencer and I don't remember which ride I guess either 10 or 12 minutes and ended up being 11. But hey was pretty close. Love how you two been to the park so much that you can determine the wait based on the looks of the line.
