Banh bot chien trung is so good!! The fried flour cake is my favorite part, and so good with the savory sauce. Oh of course you must try the noodle soup!!
I live round the corner from some of the best Vietnamese restaurants in all of Victoria. They are authentic and OG as they come. If you ever visit Australia, we will definitely need to spend an entire day here on a progressive meal! Lets go and visit Vietnam together. Imagine all the amazing dishes we'd be able to try first hand.
It's right on the outskirts of downtown SJ, and a close walk to San Jose State University. It really is this good. People have been coming here for decades!
Yeah! It's right on the outskirts of dtsj. Even dtsj is easily walkable. Please try the banh bot chien trung as well. Feel free to let them know you found about them through me. 🤗
@@StephEatsnTravels I'll try the banh bot chien trung too. It's usually just me so it's always hard ordering a lot. I'll be sure to tell them about you.😁
I've walked by that place so many times and never thought to go in. Now I know I will:) Thanks for the great review! I like it when you highlight the speciality of a restaurant. As a non-vietnamese person it can be hard to pick that out, especially if a place has a large menu.
great video. i'm a fan of banh bot chien too and there arent many places that offer it...so its a must get whenever i eat here. for mi wonton, i highly recommend Teo Chow Noodle Shack in Fremont and see how you think it compares to China Chen's popular version. looking forward to future videos.
Thien Long in SJ also has good banh bot chien trung. 😋 Oh goodness, Teo Chow has been on my list for too long! I would definitely like to feature them on my channel, and will give you a shout out if/when I do!
I usually go across the street and grab some sesame balls with the red bean never got the chance to go in at China Chen’s always to busy and I’m like next time 🤣
Do you go across the street to Dakao? 😲 Cuz that place is really good too. I definitely suggest you give it a try, Abel!! Let them know you know me. 😊 Their food is fantastic and the staff are so sweet.
lol I will. I do get thr food been doing it for like 10 plus years . It’s funny you said mention your name because last time you drop video on Viet sandwich’s I drop bye bake mi oven and dude was like how you hear about us it was funny because it seemed like he was trying to fish out your name lol but had already been grabbing sandwiches from them usually Friday morning’s super cheap for a small sandwich filling till lunch time lol but for sure next time I stop bye one of the spot you review I will mention you.
@@abelmartinez9732 I'm glad you tried the bánh mì from Banh Mi Oven!! Heck I'm glad you've been a fan of bánh mì for a long time. I don't think they know me well 😅 the folks at China Chen know me well by now. They would love to meet you.
Yay!! I think you'll both enjoy China Chen! Btw, China Chen doesn't serve pho; they have egg noodle and rice noodle dishes (but not pho). The #10 is the most popular (noodle soup with wontons and bbq pork).
@@StephEatsnTravels we'll definitely try it. In Marina there is a KBB restaurant that we haven't tried it yet. And there is more Asian restaurants as well throughout that area and Seaside as well incase your in the area looking to try more restaurants & make more reviews.
Those noodles look sooo good! Love Vietnamese coffee and ice haha! I’ll need the ice in the coffee to make it less intense because of how strong that coffee is! You’re brave for drinking that without ice! I’m amazed! I need to try that fried flour cake with egg. You’re making me want to take a trip up to the bay!
yum!! stephie would you ever do a food review in vietnamese? your pronunciation is so good and I found myself repeating the dishes after you say them (i'm not super fluent and tend to mumble in my southern viet dialect lol 😅)
Obviously, with the Soda Chahn, you must have ice :) (like it or not). I think the cup needs to be bigger (to put the whole can of soda in). But this place looks good.
At first glance everything looked like Chinese food. I’m so used to rice paper and rice noodles for Vietnamese food. Thank you for sharing this different side of Vietnamese food. :)
Oh I love the guest appearance of Canada Dry! Representing the North!
