VLOGMAS EPISODE 9!! 🎄 I might be uploading the next vlogmas on Monday instead of Sunday cuz I'll probably need an extra day for filming and editing, just a heads up! Hope you guys understand 💕 ALSO what's your favorite pho restaurant?!?!?! I NEED TO KNOWWW so comment below!!
Pho Dao is my favorite Pho place in San Jose. First time I walked into the place, I smelled the broth in the air and I knew I would love their pho. Idea for next videos: Trying every Banh Mi place in San Jose if you enjoy Vietnamese Sandwiches.
Hello Feed Meimei, I'm a manager of Pho Dao Restaurant, and also your fan on TH-cam. Thank you for the great review! We’re so happy you loved your experience and we’d love to continue providing great service to awesome customers like you. Can’t wait to have you back for your next visit.
The drink you got at pho Ha Noi is sugarcane with kumquat in case you want to order it again :D. Love your vids and your mom’s participation is everything!!
No same eating it rn home made for Christmas dinner (I’m half Vietnamese) and I SWEAR my grandma knows how to throw down when it comes to making PHO. I will literally invite you over to try it 😂❤️❤️
all the pho looks amazing!!! i only really had pho from 3 places,my mom's,a local restaurant and from a temple; if i ever visit san jose i for sure will stop by these places cause i will be craving xD also never knew about the sriracha thing i always swirled it all over, gonna try having it on the side next time i eat pho^^ happy vlogmas to you and your mama🎄❤️
This was such a fun video to watch and I love how specific you were on your rating so we know what you like about each! Your mom is so cute and you both seem like you had so much fun making this video! 😁
Love this video! Would love to also see you & your mom try Pho Y, Pho Lovers, Pho54 in san Jose as well. Which happens to be the most popular voted for suggested best Pho on the San Jose fb food page 😀
These two lovely ladies are my new favorite thing!! Delightfully informative 👌 "Mom", so very cute!! Sweet, sweet video & darling daughter!! Nice watch on a Sunday!! Never knew exactly "what"? Pho "was", now, I "do"! Thanks ladies!!
I'm from San Jose too (East San Jose) and love Pho. I'm alway's going to, and trying every place that I see that sells pho to see how good it is and which place I like better. Pho Y#1 is right here by my house. Cóm Tám Thién Húóng is one of my favorites. They just opened it up right here on King & Capital across the street from Pho Y#1, and Pho Papá. Pho Morgan Hill is my favorite & the best Vietnamese restaurant I've been to. They have pictures of everything on the menu so you can see what it is and what it looks like if you don't know. It's the Best!! Thanks for this video, now I can try two of these places I haven't been to yet. I've been to the other two. 😋
i think it's super interesting that you said san jose is the best place to get vietnamese food in california/the whole country! i know that in orange county, specifically garden grove, they have amazing vietnamese food since most of the population is viet. some people call that city the best place! i've gone there so many times, so I can testify that it's true LOL. i do live in socal, so I don't know much about viet food in norcal. will have to try viet food in san jose one day to see how it compares to garden grove!!
As a foreigner she nailed it. SoCal has more variety due to higher population but the quality is not that great compared to San Jose. San Jose hands down has the best Vietnamese food in my opinion and I've eaten Vietnamese food all over Vietnam and the world. My list. NoCal SoCal Houston Vietnam
@@markn6941 Oh wow! That makes more sense. Hopefully I'll be able to try the viet food at San Jose. I'm jealous you get to travel to so many places haha
As someone who travels back and forth between the two most poppin Viet’s area in California, i can honestly say both have very good spots, but OC wins the point for regularly host Viet’s night market for street food :)
@@whodat9198 Just because they put the sauces directly in their soup doesn't make their opinion invalid. It's an *opinion* for a reason. Not to mention, there's plenty of Vietnamese people born and raised in Vietnam who put the sauces directly in their broth too. There is no right of wrong way to do it. It's just preference.
This is not specifically about pho but in this plaza (Vietnam Town) there is a REALLY good boba place it’s called teahea, order “high by the peach” with crystal boba
I grew up in san Jose and it's true, the south bay has had the biggest vietnamese population and the only place for vietnamese favorites like pho and bahn mi. Still appropriately priced to make it a weekly or daily lunch stop. You could eat only soup in the south bay and be very happy .
your mom is so cute omg !!! i love the mother daughter combo ! 💗💗💗 quick question, did you film this video from your iphone ? or what camera did you use for this video ?? my brother is really inspired from your video ! pho is his favorite food !! :)
I'm Vietnamese and I really enjoy you enjoying food from my culture! Some recommended places I would go to get pho is Pho Papa which I think is in Capital Express SJ. Also this is kinda off topic but go to Pho Ga Nha! It's a favorite of mine and I love getting the roast chicken with rice or sticky rice! ❤ love you videos btw! ❤❤
Most places that sell sugarcane juice🥤 usually either they add kumquat or orange🍊. If you tasted like orange🍊 then you know that they added orange, if kumquat then they added kumquat in it. And the way to pronounce Phở 🍜 Ý is pho ee, Y actually sounds like double ee, anyway love your videos Meimei! 😍💕 I also live in SJ, best ones I’ve tried are Pho Ha (one of the OGs) and Pho 21, and I know lot of Vietnamese Restaurants here too!🥰
Hey Mei Mei! I’m a little late sorry!! But ugh I love this duo so much!!❤️❤️ I hope you and your mom are having a very good day!! Also enjoy the holidays❤️❤️
New subscriber here. All the pho looks so good! You should continue this pho challenge in your next video and hit up Pho Tau Bay on Keyes and 10th and Pho 24 on Winchester Ave in San Jose. Pho Mai on Landess Ave is in Milpitas if you wanna go out just a bit further
Those places are cool if its close or convenient like Pho Mai is awesome for being open late, but none of those are even close to the top 10 list in the area.
In the same lot as Pho Ha Noi is Pho 90 degrees. There managers favorite is Super Fire!!!!!!!! They stir fry the meat and serve it on a separate plate. When you dump the meat into the soup, the flavor it creates together is so so delicious..........
I’ve lived in San Jose my whole life and I’ve never heard of any of these places. I’m so excited to try these places now though! Definitely leveling up on my food game hehe 💗
not really my favorite, but I know some places having pho. Pho 90 degree in Vietnam Town, Pho Tau Bay (nah, maybe), Phố Cổ in Vietnam Town. About pho Y, it should be Pho E (cuz of Vietnam propounds word differently, same as Lee Sandwish should have named "Ly Sandwish" in Vietnam). I never try Pho in Pho dao and Pho Kim Long, but seeing you guy eat it making me want to try too.
yeeee all of these are iconic places. At Pho Dao the chicken is pretty good too! Also pho kim long's best menu item imo is Bun Rieu. And for the sugarcane drink the table might have ordered it with either kumquat or orange addition which are my favorite flavors.

For the sugarcane drink, in Vietnam we usually squeeze calamansi or some citrusy plant juice in it.
From what I know, it's usually kumquat. Most the places I've been to here in Southern California use kumquat in their sugarcane drinks.
