As someone who can barely change a lightbulb, I am in awe of your talents. I can’t wait to see your finished room. I love DA and I think your room is going to be fabulous!
Absolutely jaw-dropping. I repainted my small dining room/area dark (midnight forest) green recently, put up some hexagonal shelves and bioluminescent mushroom art on the walls -- but what this video showcases is next-level! I feel inspired.
Love the paint colour! Tip: paint behind the wallpaper (at least where the seams will fall). If there’s a tiny gap between the drops, or if a gap appears over time, you won’t notice it like you will with the white wall peaking through. Ask me how I know!
Oh Whoops when I subbed after watching part 1 I forgot to hit the bell, I have just seen this episode now. It’s obviously to late now as you have finished the wallpapering but in case you (or any of your viewers) plan to do more in the future, I have noticed on any of the American DIY channels I watch that use peel and stick wallpaper they use a product called E-Z Hang a wallpaper helper. I just checked and we can get it here in Aus. Apparently it gives you more “play” time to reposition and smooth your wallpaper out etc. You have made great progress. I absolutely love the green paint you chose it has perfect DA vibe without looking too dark or dated. And I can totally relate with the painting process, with the big projects especially, it starts off relaxing you can really get into the flow and then it starts becoming a huge process 😢 I am looking forward to the next instalment and I have hit the bell so hopefully I won’t be so late to the party 😊
@@authoralyssaclay I forgot to add that the wallpaper helper is available on Amazon. I’m going to have a look at the wallpaper supplier you mentioned. I have never used wallpaper if I see the right one I just may be “forced” to give it a go 😁
I don't remember the name of the product but Lowes and Home Depot sell it. It's a surfactant spray that you use when applying peel and stick wallpaper. What it does is allow you to smoothly shift and slide the wallpaper and makes toweling much easier to get out air bubbles when hanging. It's basically the same method used to apply stickers or window tint to glass surfaces. Or you can make your own surfactant which is basically the same as kids blowing bubbles but with less soap; Water, liquid dish soap and vegetable glycerine. Hope this helps. PS, The room is Gorgeous 😍 I love it. ❤
I love the color and pattern of your wallpaper…I think once you fill your walls with photos or objects, the wrinkling may disappear or at least not be so obvious. I do think the bookcase paint is a bit too dark…but I like the whole idea. Good luck!
I've never used peel and stick wallpaper before, I've always either used waterbath or paste papers. Could you use a drawing pin to pop any of the bubbles and squeegee the air out?
Unfortunately, I've already tried that with little success. Even though it appears to be bubbles underneath the paper there doesn't seen to be any air. I suspect it's a result of the orange peel texture on the wall underneath it :(
I had a bad experience with peel and stick wallpaper, too. Spent almost $300 for tiny guest bathroom and it’s already coming unstuck at the seams 😩 Never again! However, yours looks beautiful…
I hope to see your part 3 when it’s ready!
@@kaybeepal coming very soon 😊

@@sandyokey1019 thank you so much! ☺️
I love dark academia style!
Me too! :D
Did the video end? Noooo I want to see the end of the project 😍
A new update will be out in the next couple of weeks! Thanks for watching 💕

That is awesome! Thank you!
Ooooh is looking so good so far, super excited to see the finished product 🥺💖
Thank you sm! :)
I'm excited to see more
Stay tuned! A new update should be posted in the next few weeks :)
Starting to take shape and it looks great !
Thank you!
Just finished watching the first part, clicked to your channel, and was delighted to find this!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Great tip! Next time I'll definitely keep that in mind :)

Thanks so much!! The wallpaper tip is helpful, I’m sure I’ll be using wallpaper in some of my others rooms in the future so I’ll keep this in mind. 😊

I would probably recommend Rebel Walls over Spoonflower but Spoonflower has more design options :)

What paint color did you end up using? That green is gorgeous!
I decided to use the custom match from Sherwin-Williams :)

However, yours looks beautiful…
Thank you! That's such a bummer, it seems like different brands have variable quality. Definitely doesn't seem like the same quality across the board.
Looking good! What brand is the wainscoting and where did you buy it?
@@samanthaburtner9924 it’s from Home Depot :) www.homedepot.com/p/1-4-in-x-32-in-x-48-in-MDF-Wainscot-Panel-PANMIRAGEP/205628743
Sherwin Williams not Sherman Williams . Love the colors though
I can't believe the wallpaper experience was so poor! Especially because it costed $700. That's insane
