I love that they'll never tell someone to lose weight, but if they've made that decision they'll also commend their progress. Just loving and encouraging other women unconditionally
it's that loving attitude of, "if that's what you're going for, we're here for it", just meeting all the ladies where they are and supporting them at whatever stage of life they are in.

People don't speak to fat people the same way they speak to thin people. It's like they think fat people dont have feelings, or they have a right to be critical with no backlash which they wouldnt do to a thin person.

This is my favorite syttd version. Every time I watch it, im brought to tears. These girls are so beautiful and amazing.
SYTTD Lancashire (with Auntie Gok), Curvy Brides and SYTTD Ireland are tied for best and favorite episodes of this show for me. My least favorite ones are SYTTD UK 🇬🇧, with David Emanuel...he's way too full of himself. SYTTD Atlanta is one I'm on the fence about. I like Monte and Lori, but the amount of drama going on in those episodes is not my cuppa tea.

@@megansadlowski1705 Auntie Gok is one of the best! Have you watched any episodes of SYTTD Ireland? There aren't too many episodes out yet, but their consultants are also very nice and the dresses are very pretty as well.

America truly needs to step their game up with these kinds of shows, I always enjoy the international versions more.
America needs to step up our game with these kinds of *shops.* How is 66% of our population obese and we don't have plus-size wedding dress shops in every city and suburb? How are so many of us overweight and we don't have ANYONE willing to validate and encourage us in accepting and loving our bodies the way they are and instead everything focuses on criticising and tearing each other down?

As an American women who hates the spotlight I can tell you you are completely wrong and stereotypical. I’m guessing your not from America cause you’ve apparently never seen a girl from here who doesn’t eat to be loud and disruptive but there are a lot of us here, and I have the best friends in the world, they are so kind and supportive, nicest humans on the planet, so I would prefer it if you were actually factually and didn’t say stereotypes.
@@thatoneyoutuber5542 as an American who's been to England often. I can tell you that as Americans in general we are louder and more open then our British cousins. But that's not all of us! They're quite a bit of us they could probably easily Assemble and to British life and you'd never know the difference except for the accent. But I do understand that when you see American women generally you're going to see the loud brash and obnoxious ones....
I was so confused reading this. I didn’t understand what you meant by enjoying the international version more, but not enjoying the American versions. American versions are international! Then, I realised that you’re watching this as an international version!
I have seen hundreds of these “say yes” shows and they are all fun, well some very cruel! However every time I see these lady’s version it just warms my heart. I’m a guy and I could care less about dresses but human behavior is what drew me to this show. I have learned to understand women better. Cool show!

In the 1990's a lady from America came to South Africa and opened a shop called Big Scene. The most beautiful clothing for plus size ladies. It was such a pleasure to shop there. The consultants were SA ladies, and they were like these two beautiful women. When the owner of the shop sadly passed away, the shop closed, and since then the battle to find descent clothing started again. She was the only shop-owner to date in SA who understood the different shapes of oversized bodies. The quality of each garment and the material used was so good that it lasted for years - all classics.

You’re not alone! I started binging in March. I’ve seen every episode and some more than once! I’ve had 2 weddings but now it’s my daughters turn. These are such fun to watch! I’ve def learned what NOT to do when my daughter is ready to shop for a dress!

I called the bridal boutique and drilled them on plus size dresses before I went in. It was the consultant, my mom and myself. The woman was phenomenal and actually told me I was TINY! I'm a size 18 and certainly not tiny! Made my day!
omg...I hope they can help me out. Hoping to plan a vow renewal to take place in England where my hubby's family is. We had ended up eloping, and I didn't get to go on a dress hunt and find something I felt good in. My dress was just a sun dress that I felt very uncomfortable in....hated it. I've gained more weight since then (ty medications), but really want a real dress for a vow renewal. Seeing this has given me a little confidence nudge...but just a little. Gives me some hope that I might find something out there that I can have that special moment in.
I wish they would make a Jo & Al’s Jewels line of jewelry and sell it in the States so I can buy some of those necklaces.

When I saw “low self-esteem” , I immediately thought, time for Lori and Monte to work their magic. But, Lori and Monte didn’t show up. This consultant did a great job, though!
This isn't the same Boutique, this is one specifically for Curvy Brides. These two are the sweetest consultants on this show in my opinion :)

This show is set in England...and respectfully, Lori and Monte would never have the selection of dresses of this shop, nor the personal experience and understanding of these two women. Jo owns the shop.
There's 5 different SYTTD locations. 3 in England, 1 in New York and 1 in Atlanta. There was even 1 in Canada at one point.
