This I think is the only time I have seen an " outspoken friend" in this show who actually cares about the bride.
For once- UNselfish! 👍🏼
Most of them on this version; it is the US version that I cannot stomach. Having a polite and supportive entourage is a shocker for the US version

I love the "no drama atmosphere" in this shop. It feels like a save haven for brides who might be insecure about their appearance. The consultants are so supportive. They really try to find dresses that make the bride shine and feel and look beautiful!
The producers know what the viewers need. We don't want drama, we want therapy.
Does this shop do all sizes? As a thinner who is extremely insecure about my appearance I’d KILL to shop with these women

I'm not plus size or curvy but have zero self-confidence (yes, this happens to thinner women, too) and would love to have these very supportive consultants help me find a dress. This place seems to be a safe haven for women who need a boost of confidence as much as they need a dress. I love this show and these two wonderful ladies!

I liked the first one a little better, especially the shoulders. However this one is also great.
The dress she chose is more youthful and fun, whilst the other dresses, although very nice, made her look matronly.
And the colour was perfect to flatter her beautiful skin.
I saw “outspoken friend” and I was like here we go again...but THIS is the kind of outspoken, no filter person people should be proud to be.
A bride should take only friends like this when she goes shopping for a wedding dress..

As someone who has always been "too skinny" I've felt unhappy in my body too. The messages of embracing yourself go that way too. I love this show. These ladies are amazing.
I understand. Ive been that too my whole life I've been a string bean thin and shopping for anything is always disheartening. But watching these ladies helps alot.
All my life I had people tell me "Only dogs like bones, real men like curves". Even when I was a kid. They truly thought it was okay to say this to a kid. I've always been the bony string bean and told to strive for weight gain so men would want me. Like my goal in life should be making myself be as attractive to as many men as possible. Society really makes women who arent the perfect average size feel like absolute crap. Too skinny, too curvy. There's no winning.
I love this show because Jo and Al are here to uplift women who society shits on.

This is one of the best Entourages I’ve seen on this show, they still critique the dresses but it’s fully positive reenforcement! Even when someone says a flat “no.” It’s justified because they immediately say “I don’t think it will do her justice.” 10/10 friends, and the Bride is gorgeous!

"Outspoken" in the only good way I've ever heard. She was beautiful to begin with, and she looked ab fab in the first dress, but imo she truly chose the best dress.
Agreed. It's a genuine 'outspoken' as in, 'I have an opinion or a point, and will articulate that with confidence.' Not 'I'm going to be rude, for no reason and without provocation, and you can't tell me off for it.'

I bought my wedding dress all alone, my mom was too busy drinking and teaching, my sister was in university. It never occurred to me to bring a friend. I was the opposite of this beautiful woman in that I was very petite. Every dress I tried on looked like a flour sack. They never clipped a dress in the back... After I chose my dress my sister came to see it and she cried she loved it so much. It was 2 sizes too big for me but I wore it anyway. That same sister wore my dress to her wedding 2 years later and it fit her perfectly. No one recognized it as the same dress I'd worn. Not even our parents. I figured I'd save my sister a lot of money if she wore my dress. She was gorgeous in it. So my dress story had a happy ending.
I hope your sister said a big thank you! It is not easy to just share something so sentimental as your wedding dress, regardless of its cost. I am sorry you had to go wedding dress shopping alone but you have a really big heart. ❤

I had a similar wobble the other day about going back to uni for 4 years at nearly 30, and then I saw a post saying that in 4 years time you're still going to be x years old, so why not do something you love and is worthwhile in the meantime?

So glad I saw this comment since I’m in a similar situation. Went to college for one thing for a few years, changed my mind and took a gap year, now back to the grind with 2 more years to go to finish out a totally different degree than what I started with. I just absolutely LOVE these women! This isn’t a job to them, it’s a passion and a purpose. Every single girl they take the time to hear their story, feel their pain and lift them up and just pour love and support to them. We need more people like them! And I’m so happy there is a safe and magical place for plus size brides, with the most BEAUTIFUL dresses!! It’s just lovely 💜💜

These ladies are amazing. They uplift the customers and the TH-cam viewers alike. They are positive and give sensible responses to any issues the brides might have. The brides look beautiful because they have found dresses that fit and their inner beauty comes out. In some cases they have hidden their true, lovely selves for years and the experience with the curvy bride ladies allows them to believe they have as much right as everyone else to shine as a beautiful bride. I love this channel ❤

Everytime I watch this show, I always think they look amazing in the first few dresses they try on and that they're being too critical of themselves, and then without fail, they come out in a dress that is so perfect it makes me realise everything I didn't even know the other dresses were missing. That last one was so so perfect for her.

This show is so much better than the bridal shows where they have the horrible entourage when the mother, the bridesmaids, the kids, I’m nothing but nasty to the bride. This is so refreshing and so encouraging I can’t stop watching. The ladies that run this by the salon you are the most amazing woman I’ve ever met! Kudos to you for being such an inspiration to women who are desperately trying to find themselves through a wedding dress.
