You can upgrade both yeah just start with frames, although t3 door the door itself is normally metal just like last bbp but the walls themselves of t3 doors can be upgraded to concrete
So do you have to place a foundation now and then surround it with walls to make a wall with a door or can you just make a gate like you did for the concrete but for tier one cause that would reduce the upkeep on nails massively if you could just build the gate at whatever tier or wall with door also on the re armed server I play I never see walls with doors only gates no matter the tier. You can choose either a gate or a door. You don't need a foundation kit, that's only for snapping or if you want to make a base slightly higher/ block soft sides

Right now I am trying to work out the logistics of an observation tower-style building, but I want to wrap the stairs around the outside of the support structure, but still haven them enclosed. lol Not sure if it will be possible with the angled stairs now. ha ha ha
@@MattyTriceps depending on how far the stair reach around the corners of a foundation, it might be possible to fill the gaps between angles with the small stairs....but I can't confirm that yet since my server is still in chaos from the 1.17 update and the accompanying wipe. lol
is there a way to have longer foundation kit legs? if you understand, the legs of the foundation kits are floating in air and cant reach ground, is there some way to get them longer?
A little help needed, I am building a 2 story but I cannot reach the floor tile I am using as a 1st floor ceiling to put materials in it and build ? It doesnt show up when I hit tab to build the actual frame ??
You need to be stood on top of it to access materials, alternatively put materials in your hand and look at the blueprint to attach the materials manually and build it from below. Some servers like rearmed allow you to build straight from materials in your backpack so just put blueprint down and have enough material in backpack and use hatchet to build it up

By default yes... but server owners can change this, for example on REARMED servers they make it 2 C4 to balance it... so worth asking the server owner.
So I got my first foundation down today.....but I am trying to do an observation tower. And already I am seeing an issue with my concept. With the prior edition of BBP, I was able to stack the T1 wood foundations on top of each other squarely. But with 2.0, when I go to snap, it will ONLY go for the otter edges of the foundation, of try to stack on top, but it is off center and slighting hanging over where the posts should actually be. Do I need to scrap my idea of building an observation tower?

Anyone know how to build the walls but put the green inside out? I want to build an air lock but want the walls facing out since it’s in a Room but nothing is working. I tried to roll it but when you snap it it goes back to the inside if that makes sense.
Snap it the way you don't want it first so green side facing you. Press up arrow key to enable advance rotation, click freeze, click roll rotation, use scroll wheel to spin it the way you want and then place when fine with it

You can buy them at trader or find them however I don't think you need them anymore. Developers changed the recipe to crafting book + planks to build the workbench now

Try material in your inventory, some servers have additional mod where the materials need to be in your inventory instead of attached to workbench for crafting

But after placing the frame, where does it say what is needed to complete said frame and make it into a wall or floor etc.? Like how many logs, planks, nails? It only shows the slots on the frame where you can put stuff in, but it doesnt say what and how much is required to build the individual stuff?
Just have planks and nails in ya backpack or something and use a hatchet and the mouse scroll should have a option to build whatever if the option doesn't come up and it only says dismantle then you probs don't have enough resources on you
They've added extra functionality, you now just need the materials in your inventory and you can make the kits from workbench and build straight from the material in Inventory. No need to drag n place wood/nails anymore.

From my testing you can only build a t3 from a frame, it doesn't scale from t2 to t3 unfortunately

Yes to be safe make sure to use a land claim kit like a flag pole kit, this will be used by most servers for things like territories

I'm trying to get a T3 door built... it lets me build the Cement wall around the door after the frame, but not the door itself? How do I fix this?
It should only let you build a metal door not a cement door but need to full build the concrete for protection

Depends on the server. If your server uses basic territories or territory mod then most likely, although i heard 1.17 temporarily broke that mod

i think you could do non-snapping advanced rotation but might be a pain

In most servers I play, you have to place a flagpole in your base to prevent stuff from despawning

you need to edit some server side config to make sure it doesn't despawn. best to check the BBP discord

Not at the moment dont think they've added that.
You just need to build a new frame and build with shovel after that.

It really depends on the server, some servers give you materials back but the minimum you'll get back is a wall kit.

Rearmed? You can build straight from inventory
