In this video, I will be talking about my experience using the remote system to get some new angles while utilizing another angle with a longer lens. 2 Angles at once! #CanonR6 #RemoteSportsPhotography #CollegeSports

Well done. You will get better each time as you learn what works and what doesnt. I shot with big time photographers at state championship basketball and he had a remote on the basket that fired every time he fired in his hand. He got some amazing shots shooting down on a player dunking etc....I was amazed. I was definitely going to try it and then I got old and lazy. I dont even take a camera bag or extra gear anymore. I head out of the house, one camera one lens and an extra battery or two and that is it. I keep it simple and stress free. If the event is big enough, I will put a smaller set up in a waist belt holster for post game stuff. If I only take my one camera, my phone serves as a team photo item that does not always work well. Oh well lol My favorite events at track are pole vault and hurdles.. Stay safe.
Hey, I appreciate it! I understand all of that. Sometimes I don't pack a bag either, I just grab the r6 and 70-200 and walk out the door. It's nice to go light at time! Happy shooting! I love pole vault as well!
Pretty slick. Hopefully you can get that set up on the back board for basketball. That would be awesome.
I hope I can get it set up as well..We shall see. Appreciate you swinging through!
@@DLivingston you absolutely should be able to. I remember seeing a journalist from another local paper have that set up so if they can do it you should be able to since you’re shooting for the school.
@@sethpotterphoto Oh yeah, Girard. I forgot about that!
Nice! Did you pre-focus or allow eye detect/AF to do its thing?
Something I should have mentioned. For the remote shots I set my fstop to f5.6-8 and preset focus and left it in manual focus so it wouldn’t hint.
