    I really enjoy your videos. It surprising how good our yields are considering how little rain we had in June and July. Raining here tonight so decided to enjoy your videos.

    Man yeah, getting after it!! Wow, that was a sudden change for sure switching headers so soon! You guys know what you are doing, I really enjoy learning!! I hope the beans weren't too dry when yall made it back!! That test plot sure gives so good enough on certain blends!! Enjoyed seeing Robert more on the Camara too!! The drone and voiceover was epic as well!! Look fwd to seeing what's next!! I know I have asked a dozen times, but is it really involved and time consuming to switch between beans and corn in a crunch like that? Thank you ahewd of time! 😁😁😁👍👍👍🌾🌾🌽🌽🌽🌱🌱🚜🚜🚜🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

      We can switch over from corn to soybeans in about 30 minutes. Adjust the sieve and chaffer, slide the knives in the chopper, put the chopper in high speed, adjust cylinder speed, and concave clearance, which can be done in the cab. Swapping heads is about 10 minute process. We've whittled the time down pretty considerably over the years. Used to take us an hour or a little more. Oh and I forgot that we have to raise the chopper tailboard to spread the residue wider for the 25 foot header.

    Try cuttin peas or canola with that honeybee when they’re really fluffy even with a cross auger. You will want a MacDon or an auger header really fast. Honeybee is a swather header as far as I’m concerned. Or a wheat header, work great in wheat or on a swather, work like absolute crap with fluffy crops

      I guess it's a good thing I'm not cutting peas or canola.

    5208 I think was supposed to replace 5370. Personally like using 5115/5370/5497/5678/5760

      5678 is becoming our go to corn hybrid. We also had 4930 and 5497. Looking to try like a 120 day corn on some tough ground next year. Any suggestions?

    Test plot can give some good info when using the loop.

    Whole lot better than those John Deere headers u don't have those long dam snouts on both ends hanging on everything not counting on hauling down the road I think I've hit a few signs with those Deere headers

    • @DylanJoyceFarms
      @DylanJoyceFarms  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I always liked the long snouts on the deere. They did a good job keeping beans from wrapping on the ends of the reel.
