Enhance your weekly guitar licks with this guitar tutorial.
You will love this weeks Lick Friday! It has pentatonic linking, blues scales runs and a minor scale descending run that uses lots of technique which is bursting with energy and flavour. Building a solo is easy when you have a vocabulary of licks to draw from. This weeks lick will use a combo of guitar licks to make another extended guitar lick to place into your solos when needed. Technique wise, this is full of it, the descending runs through the scales require some skills to be able to complete the phrase with fluency. The blues scale run also needs an equal amount of fluent guitar playing skills. An easy option for every day practice, is to play through one of the scales as a warm up exercise both ascending and descending over either a few minutes or repetitions to build on the coordination needed. Practice using both legato technique and alternate picking throughout. Have fun with this weeks guitar licl and enjoy the weekend.
