Currently 75% through my build. I was determined to replace the weak plastic parts as well. I replaced the same ones as you but also added the SSD front bulkhead and third member. I omitted the shims as well. Both front and rear had grinding. Also upgraded all bearings to Boca yellow seal ceramic. Have them on all my RCs and cut my maintenance by 90%. I went with King 110mm for the front and 120mm for the rear. Only had to add some external dampening to avoid over compression.

Like your build. You could include a polythene flap valve into your secondary dampers and use a light oil just to control rebound only.

So how did the rear end handle after the upgrades? Going with the same shocks on my build and was curious about the duals in the rear. Mainly looking at high speed applications.

I bought those same Proline front shocks and they didn't have ball inserts on the top end. The pictures show it that way, too. What gives? Even the stock shocks that came on my Rock Rey have ball inserts on both ends.

why not use a heavier weight rear shock fluid for $4 insted of spending $55 on new rear shocks?

because the stock shocks are a joke

    Dampers :)
Dampeners would be items like sprinklers.
Any updates since this? After a long time off RC I'm looking at one of these kits to get back into the hobby for bashing etc

This seems like flammable and inflammable. Both mean lights on fire. And the dampers do dampen impacts. Meaning they dampen. Which makes them dampeners.i think
