Perfect example comparing tool belt w/ heavy backpack. I agree with you that backpack principles/ rules don’t apply to tool belts. If your belt is too high, you’ll be refilling your pouches all day.
This is how I work too. Also wearing your bags low and loose around the waist DESTROYS my back. . . Not to mention, bending at the waist also hurts my back, I always bend at the knees. . . The only arrangement that seems even remotely ergonomic is to wear the belt at the top of your hips (like belts were designed for.) Curious to know if anyone else wars their belt higher?
That's a terrible toolbelt layout. Tape measure in a shocking spot and hammer hangs way to low. That open cell phone holder is going to fill up with saw dust in about 2 seconds and youll probably end up crushing your phone there. Good luck adjusting the 4 or 5 different straps everytime you put on or take or layers of clothing. Thats a shocker.
Agree mate regarding belt line 👍 never tried or thought of changing in 27 yrs.

thank you
Everything you said makes sense but I'm wondering how you take piss with that tape measure pouch?
Hah.. it’s got a quick release at the front beside the tape pocket. We build and sell both front worn stitched in place and rear worn modular rigs.👍
What’s the name of those bags on your website?
You shouldn't bend your back, but only your knees. Thats why it should be on your back, with a padded belt.

The tape measure is gonna constantley hit you in the nuts, wierd place for it
It looks weird forsure but having your tape measure easily accessible for both hands is really nice
