    With your video I was able to fix my compressor. The rubber flexible hose inside had popped off the copper tube. Thank you for sharing.

    Excellent video!! I was looking for something just like this to figure out why my rigid 6 gallon compressor isn't turning on...would you happen to have any ideas?

    I just got one of these free cause it won't build pressure. The fan on the side comes on but it doesn't build pressure so I'm gonna take it apart and see if I can fix it cheap. Thanks for the video. Any ideas as to what the problem could be?

    Could you show me where the knob is to adjust the cut out pressure for the main tank? It appears it has to be taken apart to access that thank you.

    I have the same compressor. Where does the cylinder intake air from for the piston to compress? I was wondering if there is an air intake filter somewhere that is replaceable? I was worried about overspray from an automotive paint gun dirtying the air filter, but I don’t see any air intake/filter in your video. I used this compressor to paint 4 car wheels once, which it was barely adequate for. Maybe this compressor has no air filter??

    Good video. I have the same one. However, the silvery “flexible line” you mentioned in the video blew up on mine. Could you suggest where I could find the same type of hose or other type that could replace that small section of flexible hose?
    Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

    • @mykolashatkovskyi576
      @mykolashatkovskyi576 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, you don't need "the same" - you need better hose, the one that won't blow up ;-)
      I believe in "gas hoses department" in box stores. OR. Contact Ridgid directly - still, you'll get "the same" one though.

    I need help determining if wiring inside my Craftsman 150 psi compressor ( pancake) is correct.

  • @JorgeMartinez-bw7nl
    @JorgeMartinez-bw7nl ปีที่แล้ว

    I own one of these. Resently it stopped disconnecting the pump when it gets to 150psi, and it wont start when pressure drops below 120 psi ( I have to control the charge manually), it will trigger the secure valve to let the air escape when it reaches the 175 psi. I thought it was the pressure swith, but I replaced it and still doing the same problem. If you have any trick under the sleeve or have gone through a similar experience, I would appreciate you share your comments.

    • @makermentality1031
      @makermentality1031  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Truthfully, no, as far as I knew that pressure switch is the only thing that triggers that motor to turn off so if you’ve replaced it, I don’t know what could keep it running

    • @JorgeMartinez-bw7nl

      @@makermentality1031 Honestly. I have tried 3 different pressure switches. non of them stopped the compressor at 150 psi. it has my head spinning.

    • @organicvids
      @organicvids 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@oscarm534 yes, unscrew plastic cap phillips, then depressurize ALL TANKS. then i think inch and quarter wrench to reove valve assembly. There is a spring, bearing and seal. Clean them, reinstall with tool oil. The rust affect it.

    *After years of hauling around a large,💫 **allabout.wiki/PORTER** heavy, loud dewalt air compressor (that ironically was advertised as quiet, supposedly 78dB), I bought this. Facepalm. While it is not ‘silent’, I find myself chuckling every time I use it, sparing all my neighbors the terror of my former compressor. I use for inflating tires, impact wrench, finish nailers. Absolutely love it. And I store it under the garage sink in a 24” cabinet. I paired with a coil 1/2”, instead of a my former 50’ 5/8” hose that I had to lug across the yard from the shed, unpleasantly uncoil.... this little guy is light and portable; just a joy. Impact wrench is still capable of easing lug bolts, flywheel bolts, crank pulleys... just allow for a tiny bit of recovery now and then.*
